This might be a kind of dumb question but I am not sure if I’m over or under thinking the mechanics here…
I have a bunch of vegetables (tomatoes, broccoli, broccoli slaw) in my fridge that I’d like to use to make soup today.
Could I just like sauté them with butter and put in some chicken stock and then use an immersion blender to make it soupy? And just add cheese?
Like is that soup? Like am I forgetting something? How do I make it taste good?

2025.01.30 14:41 Spence5557 Can't decide on a headunit for a 3rd generation Toyota Rav4

As the title suggests, I'm looking in to aftermarket headunits to replace my stock one. Only complications is for now im keeping the JBL amp as I have the Premium sound system and I would like to keep steering wheel controls. I've narrowed it down to 2 brands.(both very controversial I know but im willing to gamble on one due to what I want from them feature wise) I'm well aware of both brands reputation just want to try one of them.
Requirements: Wireless android auto Bigger than 7" screen(I looked at sony and kenwood headunits for the price but I dislike how they look with a dash kit and want a screen to cover the whole head unit area)
The two choices: I either get a BOSS Elite BE10ACP.WX with a 3 year warranty. I will be buying it from a local audio shop so if something went wrong, I should get a fast replacement. This is being sold for 490 dollars.
--OR--
I would get a 9" plug and play Idoing andriod head unit. Maybe joying if better than idoing. They're selling for 400 dollar for my car.
These are my 2 preferable choices. Would like opinions on both. Both will need a 90 dollar PAC RP4.2-TY11 harness as to connect to the factory amp and keep steering wheel controls. Thanks for the input!
TLDR; Wanting to gamble on a cheap(400 dollar) headunit that has features I want. Which is a safer gamble. BOSS Elite BE10ACP.WX for 490 with 3 year warranty from a local audio shop, or 9" chinese andriod headunit plug and play from either idoing for 400 dollars or possibly joying.

I have ordered a Xiegu G90. I have a lifepo4 battery coming as well for sota and pota.
I'm wondering what power supplies are recommended or others have used to power just the G90 for at home use. I'm not looking for something really expensive.
I know it is recommended to get a power supply that will power your equipment as you expand which I am planning on purchasing.
For this one I'm looking at something I could take on trips with me just for the G90.

I have an iMovie Library saved on my external SSD that I've been editing from for months. Today I created a new project and was exporting a video and iMovie stopped responding. I Force Quit it and when I reopened my iMovie Library over half of the projects are missing. And for the ones that are still there, the audio is red and I can't see the video clips.
When I 'Show Package Contents' I can see all of the project folders in the Library still, but when I click the iMovie files it says "imovie cannot open files in the imovie event format".
Please help.

For some background: A few years ago I raped someone (NOT CHILD RELATED), and have taken full responsibility for what I did. I make no excuses - what I did was horrible. I plead early and did 4-years in prison (am still on parole), where I spent most of my time reading, working on math problems and reflecting on how & why my life started going downhill to the point of raping someone. I will be permanently registered as a sex offender (no qualms) and my conviction will never be spent (top > 5 years).
My background is in finance/data science, I have a postgraduate degree in mathematics and had 2 years of experience before going to prison. For the past 9 months, I have been applying to related and adjacent jobs (any tech job really) for 3 hours a day, everyday, and have gotten nowhere.
I have been getting plenty of interviews and have been disclosing my offense. Half the time I get the "wrong fit" response and the other half of rejections are just better candidates. Even for roles that are fully-remote, this is still an issue. I have also been looking for contract positions, but I don't come across those very often.
I have reached out to my previous workmates who tell me they have no issue working with me, but still have to go through my ex-employer's official hiring channel (which have already rejected me).
In the meantime, I work FT in a restaurant, day-trade (successfully, but this can't be scaled to a FT salary due to the type of asset I trade) and keep up my technical skills on the weekend. This keeps the lights on, but everyday it feels like I am wasting my technical skills and it destroys my mental health.
I have been slowly trying to recalibrate my expectation's on life, but damn; corporate australia is so pretentious and make it impossible to slowly reintegrate back into society. I am working in a kitchen now, around women, no background check required and no one causes a fuss (and I think some staff are aware of my history as I haven't changed my name).
I could get a job at some retailers, work in nightclubs, bars, coffee shops and my employer either wouldn't care or check. But as soon as the job is in an office, suddenly it's an issue. Am I just doomed to never have an office job where I can be left alone to work and solve problems? (I can't work that requires heavy lifting as I have a herniated disc - this current restaurant job is my limit for pain tolerance).
What is the point of saying our prison system is to rehabilitate where a lot of life won't go back to normal? If I knew it was going to be this hard to find a role, I probably wouldn't have even applied for parole...

I'm currently in the early stages of development on a game that I've been wanting to make for a long time, it's called Project NS since I can't think of a better name right now. I want to know how to balance out difficulty when the time comes to make the game itself (I'm currently making the story for it). What's the best way to go about it for a first time developer? Do I have a set difficulty that you can't change, or do I implement harder and easier difficulties for when the player is wanting a challenge or have an easier time going through the game.
