 | Hello! My dad's birthday coming up pretty soon, next week and I wanted to buy a watch. It is going to be his first watch, and I wanted to buy something mid-range but good and reputable. My budget is 30-40k, I had picked SEIKO SRG010P1 from Ethos, which would have costed 34kish after 25% discount from Ethos. Unfortunately, the watch is out of stock. It looked quite nice and I believe suited his style: Everyday wear, classy when wore in his business meetings, reputable brand, and not very flashy but at the same time pretty to look at. He doesn't want black dial, I gathered that from a past conversation. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I'm in Noida, for reference. 2025.01.30 15:30 SuperHans30 Weight bearing wall removed - no certificate
Hi all,
First time buyer. 2.5 months in.
Our Level 3 survey highlighted that it looks like a weight bearing wall was removed between the kitchen and dining room. The solicitor asked for the certificate.
The seller's solicitor replied today saying that they have no paperwork for the wall, that it was done by a previous seller, and that the seller thinks it's a weight bearing wall reinforced by RSJ but that's an assumption.
The surveyor said that they noticed no structural issues with the wall, but as you'd expect they are suggesting that we ask the seller to get a retrospective certificate, which would include removing plasterboard, and even then it may turn out it doesn't pass modern regulation (it's a period property). I doubt the seller would agree.
There's a chance it was done more than 20 years ago, in which case the document if it does exist wouldn't come up in the searches. We could only find out by inquiring with the council, but that would mean we can't get indemnity insurance if we did decide to go ahead regardless.
A bit of a conundrum and I'd appreciate any advice!

2025.01.30 15:30 Imaginary-Acadia-472 Chest doesn't grow as much as other muscles. Any idea why?(long post)
Eng is second language, sorry if i dumb down exercise names, lol. 8 months in, count out 1.5 months out since I've been ill a lot, but otherwise REALLY consistent. Exercising at home. I Have dumbbels, a bar for pullups and I have exercise machine that allows me to do Bench and lat pulldowns. 20M(my birthday was few days ago!), 60kgs 178cm.
So, I started quite some time ago, my exercise routine lacked chest for the first 3 months until August, when I rescheduled everything and basically added chest day, lol. But even if I count since then, my chest gains very much lack compared to EVERYTHING else.
I went from 2 pull-ups(originally 0) I August to almost-7 yesterday, significant gains in abs, back, arms, even legs. My chest gains though..
I exercise by back-chest-leg&ab days, no rest days . Also taking every set to full failure.
My chest day(today lol): Bench, 37kgs 9-8-8-7 (reps a set) Slightly declined pushups, legs on one level with the head, 10-10-8-7 Dumbbel lateral raises, 5kgs ~10 4x Dumbbel overhead extensions, 8kgs ~10 4x
Back day are pullups and negatives until I hit 10 a set(6 pull ups/4 negatives, or 3 pull ups on last set +7 negatives), lat pulldowns 37.5kgs, shrugs 37.5kgs, Bicep curls 8kgs and some forearms exercises; legs and abs meh irrelevant
And like, looking at numbers I think my back and arm gains are like 2x my chest. Chest barely added 5-7kgs from when I had 30kgs Bench, and my pushups basically plato'ed; I started legs a little lower than head 8-7-7-5 pushups, and now after like 4 months I added like a very little height and maybe +2 reps each set. Just to be clear, I go all the way down till chin/neck hits ground while looking forward, my technique game is on TOP 🗣🗣🗣 lmfao. All that while adding maybe 3kgs on bicep/tricep exercises, pull ups skyrocketing and adding around 10 kgs on lat pulldowns and shrugs.
and even more confusing is that when i look in the mirror, my chest really got significantly bigger compared to photos in August, with results on weights it's borderline weird.
if u see any reasons feel free to comment pls, and honestly that's more of a vent lmfao, I'm just fed up with really slow chest gains while everyone seems to love chest days more than anything(back my beloved!!!)

This is Eros! He's one of my DND ocs, and he's a circle of spores druid! Dude loves mushrooms and has a lot of influence over them. He's a very powerful druid, but a lot of people underestimate him because he's kind of lazy and comes off as pretty dumb. He's actually a genius, but nobody needs to know that. He's just a laid-back hippie who likes mushrooms. (And who secretly covered all his friends in spores so he could have them in his fungal network and track them).

Went to upgrade a flight and saw that I had a lot less points than expected. Apparently I lost 20 points on Jan 20th. I'm 75k (2024) and I have the premium TD Visa. I thought they were supposed to carry over.
