2025.01.30 22:20 EndAsleep270 Suspicious activity in neighborhood

I donā€™t know if Iā€™m overreacting, but my grandfather saw someone outside pull up to our house, slow down in the middle of the road, take a picture of our house, then he turned around and took a picture of our mailbox as well (we share a communal one, where our mailbox is in rows of drawers with everyone elseā€™s). I have no clue why anyone would do this, the only thing I can even think of is theft. There is a new car in our driveway and we receive checks in the mail for adoption assistance. Does anyone know why else someone would do this? If itā€™s malicious can I even do anything? Only description we really have is his appearance and that he was driving a black sedan with a sunroof.

2025.01.30 22:20 Lordmorgoth666 [Question/Opinion] Iā€™m brand new to watches and I want a nice mechanical time timepiece. Iā€™m torn between an Orient Contemporary Open Heart (RA-AR0003L) and a Bulova Surveyor Open Heart (96A275).

I like the Orient because it has sapphire glass (Iā€™m a bit clumsy) and Seiko movement which from what I understand is a decent mechanical movement.
https://orient-watch.com/Collections/ORIENT/Contemporary/ORIENT%3A-Mechanical-Contemporary-Watch/p/RA-AR0003L
I like the look of the Bulova a bit better (both the dial and band) but Iā€™m worried about the mineral crystal scratching and I donā€™t really know how good the Bulova mechanical movement is relative to the Orient.
https://www.creationwatches.com/products/bulova-watches-271/bulova-classic-surveyor-stainless-steel-blue-open-heart-dial-automatic-96a275-mens-watch-26088.html
I would like a bit of input from the community on their thoughts about these particular watches and what would make one better than the other.
Thank you.

2025.01.30 22:20 AfraidPomegranate313 Brat wasnā€™t JUST amazing for the marketing

This is just a general rant, but Iā€™m so tired of people saying how all brat was known/great for is the marketing. Sure, that was a big part of itā€¦ but so is any album rollout? Herā€™s was just INSANELY successful, but that isnā€™t the entire cultural impact of brat. The album was so successful because it introduced so many people to the club scene but ESPECIALLY hyperpop. Iā€™ve been a longtime hyperpop fan and Iā€™m glad to see brat opened the door for a lot of people to such a wonderful genre that wasnā€™t taken seriously before. The songs were also insanely good and I am not being subjectiveā€¦ that is a fact šŸ™„ argue with the wallšŸ™„šŸ™„ jk jkā€¦ I guess. Seriously though, the albumā€™s range was insane and Iā€™m so sick of people only recognizing brat for the marketing as if it didnā€™t achieve so so so many things

2025.01.30 22:20 BGodInspired Understanding Commitment: A Deep Dive into Malachi 2:16

https://bgodinspired.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/1738275051.png
Short Bible Study with me about Malachi 2:16
Introduction Welcome to a journey of exploration rooted in wisdom, love, and divine guidance. Today weā€™re diving deep into the purpose and significance of staying faithful, especially within our relationships. The message contained in Malachi 2:16 is like a guiding lightā€”a beacon that encourages us to understand not just the words, but the intention behind them. A journey of self-reflection awaits, one that promises to nurture and uplift us.
As we unfold the layers of this scripture, we aim to embrace a fuller understanding of what commitment and compassion mean in the eyes of God. This study doesnā€™t merely reveal insights about ancient times; it reflects on their relevance in our contemporary lives. Grab a notepad and a pen, and letā€™s unearth the treasures buried in Malachi 2:16, learning how they can enrich our days with meaning and fulfillment.
Bible Verse Malachi 2:16 (NIV): ā€œThe man who hates and divorces his wife,ā€ says the Lord, the God of Israel, ā€œdoes violence to the one he should protect,ā€ says the Lord Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.
Meaning Malachi 2:16 speaks profoundly about the sanctity of marriage and the harm caused by the breach of trust and commitment. This verse addresses an issue prevalent at the timeā€”divorce for convenienceā€”but its lesson transcends centuries, advocating for the respect and care that should be the foundation of any relationship.
The phrase, ā€œdoes violence to the one he should protect,ā€ suggests that relationships built on love and trust are sacred. When these bonds are broken through betrayal or neglect, itā€™s not merely a legal issue but a violation of these sacred promises. In every relationship, especially in marriage, there is a call to protect and cherish one another.
Godā€™s message through Malachi is clear: Guard against unfaithfulness. This not only applies to literal marriage but also speaks to the spiritual fidelity we hold toward our commitments, promises, and responsibilities. We are encouraged to recognize the weight and value of our words and actions, nurturing them with care and sincerity.
The encouragement to ā€œbe on your guardā€ serves as a reminder to remain vigilant against anything that seeks to undermine or harm our relationships. This vigilance is an expression of loveā€”investing in empathy, communication, and understanding is the expectation placed upon us.
Actions to Take

Journal Prompts Prayer Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the wisdom found in Your word. Guide me to understand the depth of my commitments and the essence of true faithfulness. Help me to nurture my relationships with love, patience, and understanding. Let my actions always reflect Your grace, and may I be a beacon of trust in all my endeavors. Guard my heart against unfaithfulness, and empower me to protect and cherish those Youā€™ve placed in my life.
In Jesusā€™ name, Amen.

2025.01.30 22:20 pirelli2 Donā€™t skip Marley & Shaymin (an offer)

Marley is my favorite character and I'm going to purchase gems and max out her tiered scout on reset, and I donā€™t want anyone to skip her banner so I'm going to mini-whale to get people's foot in the door.
Anybody who can buy the 300 gems in the general tab of the purchase gems menu, and 500 in the weekly tab (which costs $1.99 and $3.99 for me), tomorrow I will give $2 initially (dm me what payment platforms you have), which you can use to buy 300 gems for the first tiered scout (but if you have a better option to buy gems I donā€™t mind) and if you can send me a screen recording of yourself pulling for Marley on the tiered scout or doing her dailies across 3 days (upload to streamable.com or something), I will follow up by sending $4 (which should also go toward gems for Marley but I have no more material incentive to leverage so shrug). So thatā€™s $6 per person. And this is weird and a sub-minimum-wage offer so I guess I donā€™t expect to get a lot of DMs.
Essentially I gain nothing, DeNA gains more of our money, you at worst gain some 3* power up tickets.

2025.01.30 22:20 Equivalent_Ask_1416 What is something that you wish people would understand but they don't?

People say wrestling is "fake" all the time, but that's very far from the truth, and I find so much to criticize about using that particular F word, including:
-People who say it's fake don't wrestle professionally themselves.
-Films are "fake" too but nobody says anything about that, yet wrestling is always bashed for it.
-Wrestlers sustain all kinds of injuries, so there's no way you can call this form of entertainment fake.
-Would men and women really devote their livelihoods to something that wasn't legit?
-Scripted is a much better and accurate term-just like in the movies.
