Il s’adresse aux étudiants non francophones qui envisagent d’entrer dans un programme de diplôme, mais il est ouvert à des personnes comme moi qui ont terminé leurs études universitaires depuis longtemps.
Sur le papier, il semble qu’il s’agit d’un excellent programme -- organisé, complet et offrant un ensemble solide d’options pour les cours au choix.
Je me demande si quelqu’un a suivi le DUEF ou d’autres cours à l'Institut de français langue étrangère?

I am interested in the DUEF program (Diplôme universitaire d'études françaises) at the Institut de français langue étrangère of Nantes Université. It's aimed at non-French speaking students planning to enter a degree program, but it's open to people like me who finished their university studies a long time ago.
On paper, it looks like an excellent program -- organized, comprehensive, and a strong set of options for elective courses.

Okay so end of the book: we are left with a memory-wiped Violet and all we know is that she is now the Duchess of Tyrrendor by marriage to Xaden.
There are 1,000 questions about how, when, where, and why but I’m here to tell you: it doesn’t matter! (Before you come for my throat- of course it does matter. But the implications of the political power that Violet just inherited matter far more.)
At the beginning of the text. Poromiel, Navarre and Tyrrendor are all a part of making negotiations for an alliance and Violet notes that everything g Poromiel wants can be gained through an alliance with aretia/Tyrrendor with the exception of the protections that the wards offer.
Those same wards were fired and put in place IN TYRRENDOR at the end of onyx storm thanks to Lothab the irid.
Violet now has all the bargaining chips and political PLUS actual military/dragon/magic power to make shit happen in book four with or without the Senarium or the King’s approval. She doesn’t have to lean on “you have to agree to these terms because they are andarna’s.” Vi literally only has to answer to the empyrean to get her goals accomplished.

My Fiancé applied for an HR position at our local hospital. She went through 3 rounds of interviews and completed a given assessment.
She has not heard back in almost 4 weeks. However, her application on their Workday Portal still says “in Consideration.”
(She’s applied to another job here in the past where they have told her No and closed the status listing.)
Should she email the hiring manager asking for an update expressing her excitement for the role? Or just hold out longer since her online status still says in consideration?

Hey everybody, this rash appeared on my chest around the 23rd or 24th of January, It was first a bunch of flared pimples and then became really itchy, which, of course, I itched a little, which in turn made this massive red patch. I've been putting a Swiss cream called Kamillosan on it, which has helped subside some of the itch, but the size and itch have not subsided since the patch appeared.
The pictures were taken after I put the cream on. That's why it looks a tad shiny. In case you all want to know the cream, it is there to help.

I recently endured a nightmare experience with Cathay Pacific that left me stranded, mistreated, and forcibly sent to a country I no longer reside in. Upon arrival in Bangkok, immigration denied my entry—not because I had done anything wrong, but because they arbitrarily decided I needed a different visa than the one I currently had. Thai immigration explicitly told me I was free to fly anywhere else, I am not banned or barred, I am not on any black list, yet Cathay Pacific ignored this and instead forced me onto a flight to the U.S., a place I haven’t lived in for nearly a decade—at great expense. Why is Cathay not up to date on Thailand’s ever-changing visa policies? Why was I even allowed to board if this was a possibility? No one checked my passport.
Throughout this entire ordeal, my passport was withheld, meaning I had no ability to rest in a lounge or make my own travel arrangements. I was pressured into immediately booking a flight using third-party websites ("we cannot help you book, please try Trip.com") rather than being given real assistance. If i am booking my own flight through my cell phone why are you holding on to my passport and escorting me around like hannibal lector. I also have a serious spinal condition that makes prolonged discomfort debilitating, yet my medical needs were completely ignored. To be clear—I boarded a flight from Europe on Friday at 7 AM and did not reach any sort of final destination until Monday at almost midnight in the U.S.
In Hong Kong, the situation escalated further. During my 13-hour layover, I was placed under the supervision of a Cathay Pacific Customer Service Officer who still had my passport. At this point, I had committed no crime, had fully booked flights, and yet was still not allowed to hold my own documents. Why? At first, this employee appeared professional and even acknowledged that my situation was being mishandled. I felt relieved—finally, someone was treating me like a human being. But that relief quickly turned to distress as his behavior became inappropriate. He made personal and unwanted advances, attempting to hold my hand, touching my lower back without consent, and at one point even brushing my face and taking a strand of my hair. Late at night, in an unfamiliar airport, where most things were closed, many areas were completely empty, and I had no access to my passport, I was completely dependent on a Cathay Pacific employee who was exploiting my vulnerable position. He forced me to follow him around the airport and at one point i think he even clocked out and made me watch him eat breakfast as he told me his life story. Highly inappropriate! I wont even go into the wild story he told me. He also pressured me to share personal information under misleading pretenses that he could help me and even suggested I lie to his colleagues to get my boarding pass information—so he could see it? I guess he didn’t have access to it. Can’t say I’m not thankful for that. In a country I have never been, in a foreign airport late a night, no power , no passport. I felt obliged to play a long to not upset this man as he could have easily take me to a private room and done god knows what. I have text messages from him proving his inappropriate behavior.
Oh yeah, I wasn’t allowed to hold my own boarding passes either or change my seat, even though I have a medical condition that requires me to get up frequently. Sitting for extended periods is dangerous for me.
His actions weren’t just unprofessional—they were predatory. I have messages documenting his misconduct and am deeply disturbed that an employee of Cathay Pacific would behave this way toward a stranded passenger. I finally land in the U.S., and they unceremoniously hand me back my passport on the passenger boarding bridge—no documents to sign, no explanation, nothing. I tell the employee this has been the worst experience of my life, and his response? “Too bad.” WHAT?!
This entire situation was entirely preventable had Cathay Pacific been properly informed about Thailand’s entry policies, had better communication, and respected my right to choose where to fly. I have already submitted a detailed and formal complaint to the airline, but I don’t have much confidence in their response. I don’t just want refunds—I want to know what they are doing to prevent this from happening to anyone else. This ordeal has triggered my medical issues, I was not equipped to endure a 40+ hour journey, 5+ flights, with nowhere to rest in between, including multiple 14+ hour flights. Not to mention the mental distress of being in fear for my body and life from their staff member.
I wish I was exaggerating, but honestly, there’s so much more detail I had to leave out to even keep this brief. Has anyone been through something similar? What recourse do I have here?

I (29F) met a man (33M) via tinder, we matched previously and spoke for a while with hints at meeting up before he deleted his account. We matched again in December 2024 when he returned to the app. We had 2 great dates that each lasted hours. The first was 5 hours and we chatted past the restaurant closing and the second lasted 8 hours where we were up until 1am. Each date was filled with easy flowing conversation and plenty of laughter. We spoke about our first date and how we could feel the tension at the end when it came to saying goodbye so we were on the same page about feeling the chemistry between us. We had set up our third date and the morning of our date he sent a message saying he had enjoyed our dates but didn't think he was in the right space to date at the moment.
I replied saying that I was going to leave this door open should they find themselves in a better space for this and wanted to reach back out later they were welcome to.
My last partner and I met via tinder and they pulled away about 2 months into us dating but they came back after 2 weeks and we were together for 6+ years. That's the only reference I have for this sort of thing happening and because I was in a relationship for most of my 20's I feel I don't have much experience in the dating world for navigating this sort of thing happening nowadays.
Is it naive of me to consider he might reach back out or should I just take the L and forget about him ever reaching back out and move on with my dating life?
Are these pull backs even normal behaviour from guys?
