I have a Clara, and she’s dying a slow death. I think she’s from the 2018 batch. Battery lasts less than a few hours now. The automatic downloads from Libby are no longer downloading. I’ve been holding off but I think I need to replace her soon.
Those who upgraded to colour, or who upgraded to the ones with the side buttons, was it worth it to you? Or do I just get the same one I have again and hope for another few good years?

Hello. I’m primarily a reader of sci-fi and fantasy, but would like to branch out more into horror.
How I’d like to start that is by listening to audiobooks that have themes of investigative horror.
I’m a big fan of the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG, and enjoy the Dark Adventure Radio Theater series by The HP Lovecraft Historical Society, especially their “Brotherhood of the Beast.”
I also really enjoy the supernatural detective genre, from “The Dresden Files” to “Forever Knight,” a 90s show about a vampire detective solving crimes to redeem himself - very similar to “Angel,” the spinoff of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
So if you have any recommendations of audiobooks that are intersections of horror with mystery, investigations, police procedural, or even noir / neo-noir, I’d really appreciate them. If they also delve into aspects of fantasy or even sci-fi, that’s fine too.
They do have to be audiobooks because that’s the only way I get to enjoy books nowadays.

2025.01.30 18:10 United_Resolve2260 OSAP Won’t Cover my Summer Semester Due to the Workload being under their 20% Threshold?

Hi Everyone,
I just learned yesterday that OSAP won’t be covering my summer semester due to my workload being short of the 20% program requirement for funding. I’ve been reliant on OSAP for all of my schooling, I’ve never failed any classes and have maintained decent grades but have fallen short for finding a placement for my program for 2 of my required 3 work placement courses.
I was planning on taking the 2 required courses in the summer, equaling a total of 12 credits, which put me at 14%. I’m wondering if I were to drop a class from my current semester before the academic penalties kick in, and then take it in the summer if that would fit me into that 20% threshold. It would be a WRIT 200 class I would plan to drop, so an elective for 3 credits.
Also, if I were to drop this class, would there be any pushback from OSAP side of things?
I was already extremely disappointed that I wouldn’t be graduating this June, but really was looking forward to completing my program by the end of the summer semester.
Just looking for a helping hand here, I really would appreciate some insight!

Hi Fellowjackets, I am a hardcore, diehard YJ fan who has been hooked since the first episode dropped in November 2021. This show got me through some really rough times losing family members during COVID and means a lot to me. I try to attend every related event and have even flown across the country to go to YJ fan gatherings.
All of this to say, I was devastated to see that the S3 premiere screening at the Alamo in Chicago sold out in less than an hour 😭 I'm at work and didn't see the posting until 45min after it went up and the tickets were already gone.
I'm happy to pay someone a good amount of money ($$$) for their Chicago screening ticket!!! My guess is that some folks with tickets aren't quite as insane as me 😂 and would rather have cash. you broke up saying you don't see our future anymore, you didn't even try to talk to me afterwards to atleast try to save our 3 years. I was the one to try to save it, I was the one to bury my self esteem and come to you. Even after this, you're seeming too distant nowadays. You said I'm your priority and you're going through a rough patch, I get it. But freakin reach out to me. Come to me to lighten whatever is going on with you. I'll listen to you, I'll be there for you. Just don't go away and distant and disappear like it's nothing. We're growing up, ik, but let's grow together, I do try to give you space and time but it seems like you're just going away and away and to be honest, you're the only person I talk to after my isolation from 2 years. It feels you hold so much power, and you know you do so you're testing it on me. I feel so alone. I cry when I see your face on vc because I feel this might be our last time and then there will be darkness. I am trying to build my own world apart from this relationship, finding myself good set of people around me, after this incident because this is the second time you've done this and I have got some issues with trusting now. I'm emotionally volatile nowadays. In my exam days, I kinda need you as my emotional support, I cannot afford to lose my shit now for atleast next 5 months.
