 | My first post š«” I wouldn't have believed it before... Today I received my Eureka Mignon Specialita coffee grinder. So first I put my Sage/Breville Smart Grinder Pro grinder to one side and put the new boss, the Specialita, in its place. So far, the espresso my wife and I have made with the SGP in conjunction with the Dedica 685 has actually tasted quite good. Then I shredded about 100g of beans in the Eureka to find the right grind level and then suddenly...THE PERFECT SHOT. 16.5g of fresh, dark roasted beans in, 41g out in 27 seconds. The espresso in the cup tasted like it was prepared by God himself and suddenly I can taste "dark chocolate" and "nut" - as it says on the bean packet. Perfect balance between acidity and bitterness. How often have I heard in videos that the particle distribution of the Specialita is really good (blah blah blah) compared to the SGP coffee grinder, but that it can make such a difference - unbelievable. AITA for considering leaving my bf over money?
So, I (36f) am debating leaving my boyfriend (34m) largely - but not entirely- because of money.
Weāve been together since the beginning of 2023 and moved in together over the summer but I have been growing more annoyed and realized I probably made a mistake.
The whole time weāve been dating, he hasnāt had a job- heās had excuses, heās just in a rough spot, itās not typical, etc and I have him the benefit of the doubt.
He also has a company he started in 2010 that never really took off but heās passionate about. His parents give him his half of rent and utilities and also recently decided to invest some money into his company to try to make it viable.
The problem here is, I am very career focused. I work my 8-5, am saving for my retirement, etc, and am wanting to live a lifestyle where I can travel and eventually retire.
The problem is, almost the whole time weāve been dating, Iāve had to pay for every thing- concert tickets, weekends away/ travel, dinner and dates, etc because if I want to do them, thatās what I have to do- if he does buy us drinks or dinner or something; then it wipes him out and I end up having to cover another way, like more groceries.
I think heās very talented and can be successful eventually but I, especially at my age, donāt think I have it in me to wait around.
I donāt think heās wrong to be comfortable living off his parents allowance and being content with that (and he does genuinly work hard trying to get his business going) - but it is not compatible with my lifestyle wants. I canāt afford to keep paying for both of us and I think itās unfair that if I want to travel or go to dinner my options are either a)do things without him or b) cover both of our costs.
I donāt need someone to make as much as me, but I want someone to be able to contribute to his own travel costs etc. because thatās something I want to do and enjoy doing and would like to share with a partner.
This is not our only issue- we have communication problems and when he gets mad he mocks me and tells me to fuck off/ calls me smug etc and in turn, I am no princess, I try to keep my cool but ultimately end up getting mad and rolling my eyes etc. just so people donāt think itās JUST the money. Side note that I am willing to work on my issues but he says that āhe can try but thatās just the way he isā
I do love him and care about him despite all this and donāt want to hurt him but I donāt see this getting better. I donāt want to date his potential. AITA?

I got these for 3K, and the quality seems decent overall. However, the seller initially gave me a size bigger, so I had to return them for an exchange. The previous pair I received also had noticeable asymmetry in several places, which was disappointing.
The replacement pair is better, but there are still some loose threads coming out( not a major issue)
The only real problem I faced was with communication. The seller dispatched my order but couldn't provide a tracking ID, which led to a minor argument between us. Additionally, the QC (quality control) video I received wasnāt actually his own.
If you're planning to buy from him, I strongly recommend asking for a QC video with his logo in the background to ensure authenticity.
