I'm so upset. I work at an international airport with thousands of people, for a big airline. I do the computer stuff at the gate & whatnot. It's considered a high stress environment, fast paced. I'm good at my job. But the anxiety to actually get me there is so overwhelming. I didn't work for 5 years, and then I returned. I have accommodations which allows me to call in sick whenever without penalizing me which is so great. But I call in sick most of my shifts!! I hype myself up on my days off but when a workday comes, I become paralyzed. I also have body dysmorphic disorder amongst many other things, and the pressure to look my best is astounding. When I was off for 5 years I neverrrrr left the house. I have no friends no partner. Idk if I should just go back on another medical leave to take the stress off or not.
I feel like I have body dysmorphic disorder induced agoraphobia. It's hell. I'm supposed to be getting ready now.. but I just want to be at peace and stay home.
I'm unmedicated and have no therapist. Idk what to do ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Hi all!
One of my neighbors (who I have had very brief interactions with i.e. Hi, excuse me, sorry etc.) smokes outside of our apartment right next to my car. My parking space in the lot is right next to the side walk and he smokes right on the grassy part next to the sidewalk. For even more clarity, if I got out of my car and took 2 steps, that is where he smokes. It drives me crazy and I want to say something to him and ask him he could move down a little bit but I don't know exactly how to say it or if I have a right to say anything at all.

2025.01.30 17:51 Beginning-Time-5373 Why is there a massive difference between my download speed according to internet speed test, and my download speed observed when downloading from steam?
On the speed test my Download/Upload are about 500/300 mbps, but my download speed on steam caps out at about 10mbps. This is super slow, taking hours to download a game.
Steps I've taken so far: -I am on ethernet -Made sure I'm on correct Download Region in Steam -Made sure I'm not throttling downloads on Steam -Made sure I don't have a metered connection on windows settings
I am minimizing my internet usage otherwise, but I feel like such a huge discrepancy shouldn't exist. Kinda blown by this tbh. Are there any other steps I can try?

The guys in my locality are not the nicest guys.
About 3 years ago, I liked one of the guys, I can only describe myself as delusional and naive because this was back when I believed most people are nice. I told him about it, he took some time, gave me mixed signals, told my friend he likes me, eventually told me he has a massive crush on me. Then he agreed to date me, the circumstances were suspicious, but I wasn't very smart about the whole thing, he made out with me (more than once) and ghosted me. I had to chase after him for a clear response. I forgave him, because I was under the impression that he didn't do this on purpose, and we decided not to tell anyone about this. I only told the friend who he also talked to. Afterwards he continued giving me mixed signals, even reached out to me for random stuff despite having a gf. Ofc however, I was wrong about his intentions. I only found out recently, he told his friend what happened, that he didn't even like me, I was the clingy one and that he only did all this so he could "hit some". His friend then apparently, formed the opinion that "I feel so bad for her, I bet she felt like a princess because she thought he only liked her, while he had many girls after him."
None of this turned out right, because the mutual female friend who knew about this, told my ex about this situation, lacking context, who in turn tried to slide back into my life to "apologise" and "white knight" which led to a lot of anxiety and feelings of betrayal. My idiot ass forgave her too, but I since decided not to tell her private details of my life.
About an year after this, one of his friends started approaching me persistently. Told me he always thought I was pretty etc, with the intentions of dating. I told him about what had happened between me and his friend, and that I don't like his friend despite being cordial, and that wouldn't it be weird if we dated knowing what happened. I also told him, that because of this and another experience, I feel squeamish about sex and access to myself. He was initially okay with that, said he doesn't even want anything like that, also that he doesn't care about the past as long as I don't have feelings for his friend. I rushed into it, and truly realised the anxiety I feel even being with him. He also went back on his word and said that he was expecting sex eventually, which is fair, but I didn't like how he kept bringing it up everyday and sent me creepy memes related to that. He also told me about how him and his friends(including that guy) watched a sex tape of a third friend and his gf without knowing or consent. Then in reference to me one day he said "forget the face, fuck the base" when I was understandably pissed off, he changed the topic to talk about how "fair skinned my stomach looked when my shirt got lifted up when I was at his house". This was all within 2 weeks. I did not like any of this and broke up with him quickly. He told me not to tell anyone about us dating, and I didn't, except for one close female friend. He tried to be really nice after the break up to get back together, it even led to a bit of a fight, I apologised but that led him to believe that I wanted to get back together, I have since left him alone. He probably hates me, and that's okay, I wish him no ill, but he has tried to get with my friends since then many times.
We're a friend group of 4 girls. One of these friends is my confidant, while the other 2 don't know anything mainly because one of them is very judgemental and a blabber mouth, and the other one is the one who blabbed to my ex. One of these guys also tried to make 2 of these friends fight by lying to them, about how the other is backbitching. Long story short, we haven't been hanging out with any of these guys.
Today this guy, told a friend's(one of the 4) brother, that "all girls in the locality are bitches, except your sister" and the thing is I always worry that these people are going to spread lies about me and ruin my reputation. They already don't have any sensitivity, or accountability for their actions, the first dude even cheated on his girl and lied about that to us as well. I get anxious thinking about it and I worry if I should do something about it. Being with most of these people is draining, and I wish none of this ever happened. As I type this out I realise, I am worrying about things that haven't happened yet. But in most of these cases, especially the first case, I didn't stand up for myself because I didn't wanna cause a scene. Most days I tell myself that it doesn't matter what those guys think about me, because they're not even good people, their judgement shouldn't matter. But I still feel screwed over, even though I haven't done anything wrong and been very nice to all of these people.
Is there any way I can stand up for myself in this situation now after all this time?
