I told my bf a long time ago that I do not need/want reassurance often, as it gets me caught in a cycle. I feel like my OCD has improved a lot over the past year and three months of dating, but sometimes it comes back and overwhelms me.
I don’t share all of my ROCD thoughts with my partner because they’re hurtful and unhelpful. That being said, it’s difficult to be in a partnership with someone who doesn’t understand at all.
This morning I mentioned that it was getting worse and he told me he was sorry and went back to what he was doing. A few minutes later I worked up the courage to say I maybe wanted a little more support, that even though I knew it wasn’t his intention I felt a little brushed off. He apologized and hugged me and told me everything was fine and that it would get better.
I just still don’t feel supported and I feel bad for saying that. I know he’s trying and I don’t mean to make him feel bad but he’s not a very emotional person so it can be tough.
What are some ways your partner supports you in an effective way? How do you feel less alone in your partnership when your partner doesn’t have it?

First and foremost -- I don't have a link for you yet. But I will. These all need to be cut down (isolated and cut out of the 16gb six-hour+ VHS rips) and uploaded, and all of that is going to take a bit of time, but I'm working on it!
These are all multiple-hour recordings which include a lot of the original commercials (some commercial breaks have been cut short). They are all anime nights -- i.e. no American adult animated comedy like Family Guy or Robot Chicken or anything like that. It's mostly stuff like Case Closed, Tri-Gun, Lupin III, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, etc.
I get lots of time to edit at one of my jobs, so I'm working on getting as much cut down and exported as I can today. As I do so, I'm trying to pin down when exactly these aired, so I can put them in order. I believe they are all from 2004. So far I have narrowed two of them down to May and July 2004.
I will keep everybody posted as I'm able to get them up. Internet connection at work sucks, and these are all gonna be big files, so I won't be able to get any uploaded until tomorrow at the very least. It's going to take a while before I get all of these up, so please be patient. I just didn't want to wait until I'm done getting all these uploaded to share the exciting news!

I was supposed to go with a friend but she bailed super last minute on me and now I'm rethinking going. I'm a super shy person and all of this is giving me anxiety just thinking about it that I feel like vomiting. It doesn't help that I'm the only person from my college going either. I was supposed to book an Airbnb with a friend too but now I have to get one alone. I could really use some reassurance and advice.

2025.01.30 18:41 Nighthawk11789 Help me understand VE, strategy, fuel saving
Hi everyone, I need help understanding why this game that initially amused me is really getting frustrating.
I'm participating the "wec experience" intermediate license events, 40 minutes at Le Mans with doubled fuel consumption.
The race is basically 12 laps: my problem is that with a single pit stop (which is the strategy my opponents all adopt) I can't even complete the eleventh lap (I receive stop and go penalty for running out of VE at the Porsche curves during the tenth lap!). How the hell is this possible?
I don't think it's all about fuel saving, because I even set the strategy to +2 in the mfd, but when I start doing lift and coast I'm practically overtaken by the entire grid.
People who perform the same laptimes as me in qualifying (and as they do in the race), apparently aren't saving fuel, otherwise they should go slower (like me), or maybe they do it in a way that I can't really understand (yes, I watched youtube guides). Is there some "trick" I'm missing?
Help me understand how it works, please.

hey everyone, I’ve been going through it baddd recently.
I began having symptoms of a flare last Friday with my usual urethral burning and bladder aches/spasm at the end of urination. I assumed it was a flare because I’ve been stressed recently, mostly about my upcoming cystoscopy tomorrow (1/31). I noticed that I couldn’t make my symptoms go away by chugging water like usual so I assumed I was in for a wild ride. I also noticed my urine smelled odd, not really foul, just odd.
over the next few days, my symptoms got worse and worse and I was worried I had an infection. on Tuesday, they peaked and I was in tears and drove to urgent care. I already knew they would find blood and leukocytes because I could see little flecks of blood and sediment in my urine, but I don’t think they found nitrites. they sent my sample to culture and prescribed macrobid, but I decided not to take it until my culture came back (because I still thought it was just a flare).
cut to today, Thursday, I decided to take an at home UTI test just to make sure, and the nitrites popped up IMMEDIATELY. so I started the macrobid and called my urologist to ask if I should cancel my cysto (which I don’t want to do anyway). they’re trying to get my culture results from urgent care and they’re going to talk to my doctor, but the triage line nurse is pretty sure they’ll cancel it.
anyway, I’m just really frustrated with my body at the moment and I’m wondering if it’s possible to develop a stress-induced UTI?

Olá pessoal, estou fazendo um caminho um pouco inverso. Moro nos EUA há algum tempo, mas quero voltar pro Brasil nos próximos 10 anos (não há lugar melhor do que a casa da gente :)
Estou começando a investir uma grana no Brasil para diversificar e também por segurança (nunca se sabe o que pode acontecer, dado a situação atual aqui no tio Sam). Atualmente todo meu portfólio está nos EUA; 50% fundo misto de aposentadoria (401k), 30% VTI e 20% ações da empresa em que trabalho.
Gostaria de alocar 10% do meu portfólio para aplicações mais conservadoras no BR. Como os EUA taxa no mundo todo, idealmente os investimentos no BR têm que ser em modalidades que só geram lucro real no hora que eu decidir resgatar, então opções como LCI (que tem prazo fixo) ou previdencia PGBL estão fora de questão (ou então eu teria que declarar os ganhos no imposto americano, o que é bastante dor de cabeça - declarar só o patrimônio sem lucro é tranquilo).
Até agora, as melhores opções que achei são ETFs como B5P211, LFTB11 e DEBB11, pois só geram tributação ou lucro real quando eu liquidar (preferencialmente quando eu já tiver me aposentado no BR). Sabem me dizer alguma outra opção que casa com esses critérios? Até olhei previdência VGBL, mas a burocracia e as taxas são pouco atrativas. Vi opções de como fundos de renda fixa sem prazo, mas não entendi bem todas as regras.
Mais alguns detalhes: atualmente invisto no Bradesco e na Agora, pois tenho uma boa relação com o gerente e ele me ajudou com toda a problemática de criar a conta, mesmo não sendo mais residente fiscal no Brasil.
TL;DR: procurando boas opções de investimentos conservadores para não residente fiscal no Brasil.

I do creative work so I'm not familiar with the media side and hoping to gain clarity on what would make something a no-brainer for them to try out. My impression is one of the main risks would be if creative assets they paid for aren't quality and/or don't perform.
From previous experiences, I stand behind my work and can put my money where my mouth is with confidence when there's a good fit.
I'm now trying to figure out how feasible it would be to partner with media shops to test and find winning creative assets, and only then do I put food on my table. Incentives are as aligned as it gets.
I imagine the predetermined benchmarks would be case by case, is there a good way to determine what these benchmarks are / should be for each case?
If you can benefit from an experimental trial run for this, definitely reach out.
