Being in the EU, why are my X battles against Japanese teams more often than not?
Yes, they’ll always be better and more experienced and more competitive. I know it. That’s why I rarely play Anarchy anymore.
Thanks to communication issues, they also can kill you one minute after you’ve killed them or even kill you from afar and by pointing in the opposite direction. I get it. They’re f*cking gods.
But I thought I wouldn’t face them AT LEAST in X Rank.

2025.01.30 18:19 Dangerous_Reaction Success Stories, or Failure Stories from the over-50 crowd?
It seem like there is a disparity on this sub from 50+ members. Some of the stories have been "Dude, leave now. I left at 54 and I'm the happiest I've ever been." Some stories are "Dating after 50 is a desolate wasteland of broken dreams--sex isn't that important. Don't leave. It doesn't get better."
I realize there can be a lot of differences in people and you don't know what someone's situation is from a post. I'm sure it's just like dating in your 20's in some respects. If you take care of yourself physically and mentally, and you aren't a drag on society, you are going to have much better luck in the dating pool. But, are things really that bad out there? It seems like people are quitting the dating apps in droves.
Also, I know leaving a DB isn't just about sex, or lack thereof, at least not for me. There is an aspect of rediscovering yourself and your freedom after having spent the last 20 years raising children and being a husband/wife. But, I would be lying to myself if I said that the thrill of finding someone that was attracted to me or that wanted physical intimacy wasn't a part of the equation of leaving.

I (50m)am in a two year relationship with a woman(51) who is currently separated from her husband and lives a state away from him. Moved out because she was tired and unhappy with the marriage. Stayed married because of medical issues which I understand. Recently she told me that they want to try and work things out between the two of them. Hurts but I understand. My only question and this is where I would like comments or insight to, they do not want to move back together. They want to do the long distance relationship but at the same time she still wants me to be in her life. She wants to live alone but also stayed married along with me being with her as well (as a friend). My heart hurts and I’m totally and utterly confused. She has said that she loves me and we have an undeniable bond but now this. Is this a test for me or am I just the backup incase it goes wrong.

19F. Title isn’t entirely accurate. She thought I “might have” murder-suicided her.
I bought a shotgun to shoot myself in the head with. I threatened nobody and did nothing illegal. I didn’t even pick up the gun from the store before I was detained and forcibly institutionalized off a tip from my roommate. A week in the psych ward, but no legal or academic consequences (besides having to make up missed classwork).
My mother had no idea about any of it, until my brother told her. She freaked out, which is reasonable and expected. I do feel bad about putting her through this— about putting everyone through this. She was shocked that she “didn’t see this coming”. I mean, does anyone? It’s a very private thing. But anyway, as a prophylactic against further suicidal actions, she wants to FaceTime me once or twice a day every day. I acquiesced. Spending eight minutes a day on the phone with my mother is trivial, in the grand scheme.
Anyway, during the first FaceTime, she confessed that when she heard what had happened, she was scared that I was going to kill her first. This came out of left field. I’ve never laid a hand on my mother. I’ve never even threatened to. We’ve had our fights, but we’ve lived together in relative peace for five years. Her admission hurt me, and I quickly excused myself and hung up.
She texted a vague apology (not to say I didn’t appreciate it— only vague in the sense that she wished she had “listened more and talked less” during the call). But something about the comment stirred up resentment I haven’t had to face in years.
When I was fifteen and my little brother was thirteen, our mother moved out of the family home despite our begging. We were wounded— it felt like she had abandoned us completely. Of course, as an adult, I know it wasn’t quite so cut-and-dry. But anyway, a few months after she left, she came back to the house planning to repossess the dog.
The dog is, ultimately, my brothers’. We all love her, but he’s her number one. So when she came into the house unannounced and grabbed the animal, my brother moved to stop her. I witnessed the whole thing unfold. No punches or kicks were thrown— just body-shoves and a tug-of-war with a very frightened little dog. She eventually retreated in defeat.
She ended up pressing charges for domestic violence. My brother was (obviously) acquitted, but it was one of the last fifteen or so nails in the coffin of his relationship with her.
This story is to demonstrate that my mom fears for her personal safety from both her children. I’m not sure why. Her ex-husband/my father never struck her, never destroyed property, never even drank. And while my brother and I are physically taller and stronger, we have never— and I do mean never— physically intimidated, threatened, or hurt her. My brother punched a hole in the wall once after she’d left the house. That’s it.
I know I’m not the victim here. I am the prospective murder-suicider, not the murder-suicidee. But it still stings that she would think that of me.

Prophetess [266 pts] (Hand weapon, Level 4 Wizard, Bretonnian Warhorse, Lore Familiar, Sword Of The Stout Hearted, Sacrament of the Lady, Illusion) - immune to psychology with 2d6 slap action and a sacrament to make sure she gets it, illusion and familiar for spectral but also crystal column to protect your Grail bus. Miasmic does something similar if needed.
Paladin [132 pts] (Hand weapon, Lance, Heavy armour, Shield, The Grail Vow, Battle Standard Bearer [Banner of Châlons], Bretonnian Warhorse, Virtue of Noble Disdain) - the Grail vow to join the party and the banner of Châlons to avoid the peaky s&s
