2025.01.30 19:00 Roy-Sauce I am writing a script about Narcolepsy. What would you like to see included?
As the title says, I am writing a script centered around my experiences with Narcolepsy and Cataplexy. The main character will have both and, as a horror film about dreams, it will be a center point of the film if I ever get it produced.
That said, my experiences are my own and do not necessarily capture the true breadth of what it means to be Narcoleptic, so I was wondering what people here would like to see in terms of representation in film? Itās such a debilitating affliction and seeing it tossed around as nothing more than a side joke or bit in most media can be infuriating, so gathering peoples opinions here feels important to me.

Hello, my employer (Ontario) is trying to institute an on-call shift and we're confused as to whether the pay they're offering is fair.
Currently, I'm a salaried employee making $50k working 9-5 Monday-Friday. My job wants to institute an on-call shift for overnight coverage - 2am-7am, all 7 days a week. They're offering $300/week flat rate for being on call, with no extra if we actually receive a call and have to get up to work.
Is that fair under the ESA? I read through the relevant sections of the ESA, and my instinct is that they should be paying us for three hours per night, plus time and a half if we get a call. Is that accurate?

I have been on the mini pill desogestrel for years and i never bleed, for years and suddenly a few weeks ago i started bleeding and it was just spotting, never enough to go into my underwear just enough that i could see it when i wiped after the bathroom and i assumed I'd dropped a pill while taking it or something because i only ever bleed when i miss a pill so that's usually how i tell when i have missed one but its been weeks and i have definitely not been missing them i KNOW im taking them and today the bleeding is worse to the point where it is in my underwear now, like a light period and im really scared because i know that something cant be right, has anybody else experienced this? and if you have what ended up being the problem?!

I have a 2.000 credit limit on my CIBC Dividend card. I havenāt made any purchases for 2 weeks with this card, always paid everything in full. The usable credit limit dropped down to 1995.40 today and I donāt pay any fees for this card nor the account. AND THE STRANGE THING IS THERE ARE NO TRANSACTIONS WHATSOEVER.
I think my bank is robbing me. Because of previous stuff like these I locked my card and stopped using the card but well, it happened again. When I call the customer center or go to a branch they give me the same bullshit; take your statements and calculate themā¦ No, Iāve done it already your bank is robbing me! And itās frustrating to hear no clarifications after waiting more than an hour with the call center.
What should I do? I think CIBC has robbed me $50 already monthly. Iāve already switched to Scotiabank but I donāt want to close this card as this was my first credit card. What should I do? Report it as compromised and get a card with new numbers from CIBC and lock it again?

 | Iāve lived in this new house for over 2 years. Weāve heard occasional noise and dealt with LOTS of washing machine issues only to learn that our pressure reducing valve was installed backwards, as indicated by the arrow. This was a new construction home and Iām worried about the integrity of the plumbing as a result of not having this valve functioning properly. Should I be concerned? I was quoted $1,100 to replace it (Florida) which seemed absurd, he said the valve was $500. I paid the $39 callout fee and thanked him for his time and sent him on his way. I plan on making the builder fix it, but I want to know if there could be long term implications. My area is known for having high water pressures. Any gray haired designers in the house? Iām trying to get a feel for the productivity increases brought on by the use of computers in design. Did any of you do old school designing before the digital design revolution of the late 80s-early 90s?
Iām of the opinion that we can produce designs at least 5 times quicker than we could before computers came on the scene, from concept to ācamera ready.ā I didnāt do much old-school design before the switch though.
Does a 500% increase sound reasonable to you? Itās probably more. Any opinions?
