2025.01.30 18:50 denierCZ Brand new WC DC HC560 Ultrastar failed after 5000 hours?
I bought 2x HC560 20TB, put them in my Synology in RAID1 and this morning I wake up to a beeping Synology. The 04 AM rsync backup task caused some kind of failure, the Disk 1 is now degraded. I took it out and I am doing a read surface test, while rsync copying the data from the remaining functional drive.
How is this possible? The disks were brand new, never used, not recertified or anything. I got them for a few months. How can one of them (seemingly) fail after 5000 hours?

2025.01.30 18:50 Creative_Golf5574 It's even just the little things I miss that make me love this game more
I stuck with the Definitive Edition for a little bit a while back but it's just not the same. I mean, it's fun, its GTA, but completelyyy different in almost every way giving you an entirely new experience that I don't entirely like anymore. The classic lighting did a lot to help it, but while they added fog and stuff, its still not GTA 3.
I re-played the PS2 version recently and fell back in love with this game. There's a certain quality to the PS2 version that the other ports simply just don't have, even with higher res models and textures. I love the eerie Gotham City-ish vibe. The Silent Hill like fog, the Matrix-like yellow and green tints, etc. Out of all of the GTA cities, I'd be terrified to walk around GTA3 Liberty City alone at night. There's just something weird about this place. I forgot how much I love this game. I played it on the week of release when I was a little kid, and the 2001 setting is just as recognizable today as it was to me then. It literally still feels like 2001. devs definitely the environment and visuals.
Like I mention in the title, its even the little things that make me appreciate GTA 3 more now. Little details that I didn't even remember. Things that the definitive edition lazily got wrong/weren't even bothered to be implented. The sign for Luigi's club glows at night with a light pattern. The xxx theater's metal garage door-like gate is shut during the day time and the place opens up at night into the wee hours of the morning.
I can't believe I even bothered with the Definitive edition. I finally got this game to work on one of my retro handhelds with the right tweaking and settings and I couldn't be happier.

I try to be patient and wait for the day when this will work itself out. I’m trying to be strong, trying to do the things I promised you I could.
Distraction only works until I sit. I try desperately to push you out of my thoughts, I try to distract with books, and when that fails with work, but they only remind me of you. I try to drive silently, hoping to loose focus, I try to listen to music , lyrics somehow write our story . I try to workout, fueled by the rage of not having you around, but it is all pointless, you are still present in my mind.
My love, you will never be gone from me. I will have days, days too busy to think about this. There will be those days for you too, it may even get easier as time goes on. But for me, it will never be gone. This scar that is left is beautiful, it tells our story. It serves me poorly now, a painful reminder of what I lost. In some unknown timeframe though, it will be less painful to look at. Our memories will blot out the painful times, smooth them over and the good will be all that remains.
For us, there was no grand ending, there was no final argument, there was no formal goodbye. There was just us, starring into each others eyes, both knowing it, both hating it, both trying to be strong for one another.
I have told you how much I love you, how important you are to me, and what it would mean to have you out of my life. The reality that we face dictates our choices and our lives. It is not up to us. We have to live now with what we choose. We both know it.
My heart fights against me, beating for someone just out of my reach. This perfect match, this beautiful love that would go unknown distances on a whisper of a request. You have become something special, something precious, something sacred, holding power in my life , a place in my heart that was undiscovered and now only your footprints remain.

thoryield used to, but doesn't anymore, none of the other trackers like pulsar finance or thorscan show accrued fees, just current balance in RUNE:CRYPTO and amount of RUNE:CRYPTO pool was entered with
being able to see how much in RUNE & CRYPTO fees have accrued let me keep track of APY over several years...
anyone know how to make thoryield display accumulated fees or an alternative that does? I use thorswap w/ CTRL (XDEFI) wallet so IDK if I can even migrate to a different interface that easily

Been on Triz since late July/early August 2024
Started at 247 now around 205 but I think I’ve plateaued.
Instead of going to 12.5mg triz I’m thinking of switching.
How long does Reta last in the fridge? I have a few more vials/weeks of Triz on hand.
Should I wait to try and order Reta or does it keep ok in the fridge?
