I have had a Maytag freezer with an automatic ice maker that has now failed twice in a little over a year. I have replaced the ice maker unit each time, but the part costs $50. How can I refurbish the faulty unit, so that if it fails again I don't need to buy another unit. In the pictures of the failed ice maker, you can see on the circuit that there is burned connection in the circuit associated with the heater.

Did anyone else get a cancellation notice from Fidium about back payments?? Fidium bill from cancellation notice was $104.17Fidium site showed 208.37Bank Account statement last few months showed Fidium was only taking half of which the bill was supposed to be.Calling was no help, the support agent simply said it was my problem to solve and to go to my portal website than to have a good day.I would advise Fidium users to check their statements to make sure the company is actually taking out the full amount each month as I suspect autopayment has an issue.

Might be a long shot but I need a knee injury consultation and possibly an MRI, I have no idea how to navigate the medical system in the city outside of a covered primary care visit. I've never had an injury like this before and am totally overwhelmed. Is there anywhere on the UES (or that I could get to by uber) that has a reputation for relatively more "affordable"? Or anywhere that's uber-fancy that I need to avoid?
I'm out of the country so I can't call around which makes things worse, but my work won't give me time off unless I submit a doctor's note ASAP upon returning

2025.01.30 19:16 Entire_Clock5150 32 male just diagnosed at 5.7 a1c, need some guidance please
My doctor didn’t tell me much besides “go easy on the carbs and exercise more”. However she did tell me I’m in a good spot to reverse it. I was a heavy drinker and quit alcohol 7 weeks ago, so I’m hoping that helps as well and the lab tests in 3 months will hopefully reflect that.
So I’m googling different things and getting WILDLY different advice. I’ve seen some people say limit total carbs to about 130-150 per day and others say limit carbs to 20-30 per day. I will be getting 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day but I’m lost on what I actually need to limit my carbs to. I’ll be eating lean protein and healthy vegetables often as well. Am I allowed to have a cheat day once a week? I don’t mean going crazy, just like a slice of pizza or something. I’m just totally lost on how aggressively I need to react to this. Any help is greatly appreciated

2025.01.30 19:16 InterestingJob2069 People working in electronics how often do you need to learn about new stuff?
I do something not related to electronics. Not much changes in my field.
I do electronics as a hobby on the side and I have not really noticed new stuff being used. It's still the same components no revolutionary semi-conductor thingamabob getting used in hobbying.
I know that in RF-field stuff happens a lot. So excluding that.
I was wondering if stuff changes often in the line of work for someone doing electronics (non RF) as their job?
I guess things just get smaller and more efficient mostly?
