2025.01.30 22:11 Zombie-MkII Wireless bridge solution for external home office?
Finally after years of delay Openreach have installed a fiber run to the property I licenin.
The problem is they wouldn't install it in the kitchen OR my home office (in a converted brick utility room attached to the side of the house) because "the fiber cable isnt flexible enough to be bent"
So instead it's been installed in a corner of the living room where the router has to sit on thr windowsill. It's even less ideal than it was before. I can't do a cable run for several reasons (homeowner won't allow it, I don't have the right tools and cost) but will probably do so long term when the house undergoes a reqire in the next 5 > 10 years.
In the short term, I want to get a wireless solution in place so I can run ethernet to the devices in place which include x2 work laptops (with bad wireless/bluetooth cards) a printer and a media / file storage server which will be going in a tiny comms cab.
My office space is still in range to get a servicable wireless signal, separated from the router by roughly less than 10 meters, and 2 or 3 brick walls. The only problem is my signal dropping to negligible speeds when I go to the bottom of the garden which is around 20m away. So the two ideas that spring to mind
*Wireless bridge, ie a router in bridge mode *Mesh wifi which would also extend the range of broadband tonthe bottom of the garden
Any suggestions?

I’m notorious for buying cookbooks and never using them because majority of the recipes are too out of my palette, require too many one-off ingredients or have too many seafood or cold, raw ingredients based recipes.
We’re love warm cozy meals (classic meat, potatoes, veg household) but I’m looking to branch out into more complex recipes with more whole nutritious ingredients that I typically shy away from using. I love the vibe of the Half Baked Harvest cookbooks and recipes but see there’s a lot of mixed feedback on them so I’m hesitant.
So what would be the best cookbook I could buy to fit our tastes?

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice on how to navigate my path toward medical school while also working through my current college situation.
A bit about me: I’m 24 years old, currently in my first year of college at an online institution, majoring in Liberal Arts. My GPA is 3.3 so far. I plan to transfer to a traditional, on-campus school this fall to complete my biology prerequisites for medical school. I’ll be entering my second year of college at that point. I’m passionate about pursuing a career in medicine, but I’m not sure what steps I should take now or in the near future to strengthen my application and ensure I’m on the right track.

My business partner and I have been working together for decades and became partners 5 years ago. I have been GF for 10 years. We frequently meet at restaurants and he always wants something new and different but has no idea the work and anxiety this causes. He even tried to get his assistant to find spots but of course unless you are in our world you don’t know that Chinese restaurants are basically impossible, etc. He’s getting frustrated with me and telling me I’m boring. Normally I’m good at being assertive but this stings a little more because I would expect him to understand. Also his wife is vegetarian so it seems like he should be used to it! Any advice?

 | Hey guys, So long story short, I've spent 1 year creating a new app for the cannabis community called Halfbaked. The app allows you to track your use, connect with others and review different cannabis products. Where it gets clever is that the app allows you to track how effective different products are for your own medical or recreational goals. For example, if you suffer with arthritis then you can track how effective products are at helping you with your symptoms. Alternatively, if you have a recreational goal (e.g. something to help with creativity) then you can track that. It took us 6 months to get Apple approval. In order to get it published, we've had to disable the map functionality as well as dispensary profiles on iOS for now- we hope to get this decision reversed as soon as possible and we have a plan to get there. i want good world creative animes, where the theme and plot has good feelings. not thriller, horror, sadness, fight etc.
i remember watching one anime, where a woman enters a world of "gods"(?) who can take various forms like human, dragon, animals, trees etc. This "male god" had allowed her to stay in his home, he never really pressured her to marry or for anything, and i think most of these "gods"(? i don't remember if they were gods, or some divine beings) used to wear mask most of times.
what i mean is, at least this anime has some different world exploration, adventure, fantasy theme.
so need some good fantasy, world exploration etc. such creative animes.
google search showing the stupid action animes when searching for fantasy anime. (just like how ut shows superhero movies when you search for sci-fi movies. such a SMH moment really smhing right now)

 | General plan is to throw talos and wracks on opps objectives while mowing down units with the Dark weapons, scoring secondaries with kabs and mandrakes, and retaliating with Archon once Coven units are done. I have about 1000 points in other units available as well (sadly no wyches, lelith, beastmaster, or court). Last thing I'll add is that I'd like to keep the bomber for fun's sake. Ok so a backstory , I have a 15 year old son & a 10 year old daughter & I’m now 20 weeks pregnant with a son . Man talking about starting over . One minute I believe this can be the lil bundle of joy my small family needs & another minute I’m saddened because my life will never be the same . Where I can get up and bolt out the door no kids in tow at times . I felt relatively fine with accepting that’s just what it is now but today was my first out actually looking in the baby department & man I started to feel down and disappointed because it just feels unreal I’m back in the baby section shopping … anyone else felt this way ….
