Good afternoon, everyone!
Now that I have nasty blisters forming on my hands from wringing a bathtub's worth of clothes that I hand washed, I feel the time has come to seek sorely needed advice on my washing machine dilemma! I HAD a Maytag MHW6000XG0, which broke right around Christmas with the whole family home for the Holidays. The repairman feels it would cost between $600-$1,000 to fix this awful machine, which has taken a LOT of babying throughout its entire life.
I turned to Reddit and review sites to pick a replacement washer. I decided on the LG WM4200HBA. It met all of my requirements, which I'll list in a minute. When my mother and I went to our favorite local appliance dealer, they claimed they had one in stock at their warehouse. If we could wait 2 weeks, they'd deliver it. That was a month ago. Now the salesman claims they don't have any in stock, but HomeDepot has some, so surely LG is just behind shipping it to them. I just went to HomeDepot and they claim it has been removed from their inventory. I've tried texting and calling LG about the inventory and can't find anything out. Has this been discontinued? Because it's been a month and things are starting to smell fishy...in more ways that one!
If the LG WM4200HBA has been discontinued, what on earth should I get? Here are some of my requirements:
* Front Load
* 5.0 cu.ft.
* 27" Width or smaller
* As little AI stuff as possible. Seniors will be using this, so simple is good. Plus, we have an old home in the Lightning Capital of the US. Even with a house surge protector, surges are still an issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any thoughts on the Sidekick, I'd appreciate it. I'm the main one who would use it. (Do they break easily? If they do, are they hard to repair?)

 | We are all fans of the series, with me being the bigger fan and getting them into it because of this collab, and it's just odd to see nobody else playing as them at all. We play a lot since this is the main game we can all play together and after so many matches we just aren't seeing any whatsoever and it sucks as a fan to see this collab be so… “controversial “ for lack of a better word. Either way I’m personally really happy with this collab and these three (mainly Kikoru) will be my main skins for the foreseeable future regardless. 2025.01.30 22:22 mommaMD16 Walkolution alternatives?? (for US-based student)
I have been eyeing the Walkolution 2 for almost a year now. I think I would get loads of use out of it, but between the crazy high price and shipping to the US, the price point is just too scary / simply does not seem justifiable.
I have a walking pad right now, but I don't use it because (although I think it is one of the quietest motorized ones you can find) it is loud enough that I worry about it (I have a roommate who I don't want to bother) and also the motorized nature makes work much more difficult that the ability to start / stop / speed up / slow down on demand. My apartment gym has a curved non-motor assault fitness treadmill that I adore for walking on while doing med school flashcard reviews on my ipad (decent # hrs / week), and the Walkolution 2 seems like the only home version of it that is made for home and is high quality, quiet, reliable, etc.
I've done a little browsing but wasn't very successful. Is there a similar alternative that is 1--available in the US and 2--more affordable?

2025.01.30 22:22 MadEquinox Covalex Hauling Senior/Master. What ship are you using?
I am currently midway through the Senior rep level for Covalex which currently is a a major grind. Most Senior (and even some experienced) missions require you to haul well over 300 SCUs while Experienced ones having you flying all over the place. I am currently using the Caterpillar, which has a bug blocking the storage at the front of the ship (nose). The way the cargo fits, you have to have specific cargo boxes to reach the max 576 capacity of the Caterpillar. Senior missions use mostly 16 SCU boxes with occasional 32 SCU boxes.
There are a number of Senior missions available but only 1-2 that will fit the Caterpillar on a single run. I have no idea what Master missions will bring from a SCU capacity.
So to my question... Those of you at Senior or Master rep level, what ship are you using? Currently your only options are Caterpillar (576) or C2 (696). There are several missions that look to be made for the Hull C but from what I have read/heard, you cannot use the Hull C for hauling missions (only commodity trading). Not sure if support for the Hull C will be changed but there are several Senior missions that want you to haul 2000-4000 SCUs. Not sure if CIG wants you to make multiple trips?
Thoughts? Feedback? Advice? Thanks in advance.

 | I have a few things to say about this. First of all, I wrote my personal statement in 2 hours literally right before I sent it off. Safe to say I am FLABBERGASTED it was good enough. Secondly, I am surprised they responded so quickly?? I literally sent off my application yesterday morning. THIRDLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY: this has given me so much hope and motivation for the future it’s genuinely brought me to tears. I was so severely depressed and hardly going to Sixth Form because I just didn’t think I was going to make it anywhere in life. Now I’m so determined to change my life around, and although I’ve not been given the best circumstances, I am so determined and hopeful for the future. So this game runs quite flawless on the steam deck except multiplayer. Given it’s an old game the servers are long shut down, I’ve heard people mention gameranger to play online which I have yet to try. However this game has LAN as an option on my friends window pc he can create a lobby for lan just fine. I can’t host one or join his, it just gets stuck on a screen or will say an error has occurred. This also results into a bug where the mouse disappears even when I have one plugged in. I’m forced to tab out or Alt f4. I’ve tried many different protons but it still doesn’t work please if anyone has fix or any ideas please help! And thank you so much!

Literally every other post is, if I don't get a good offer in 30 minutes, I'm going home. I mean, sure you are your own boss, but some of you need to have more discipline. I have sat for 3 hours without an offer, but in general if I put in a full day I will make between $150 to $250.
It may not come right away. Stop looking for a reason to go home. Or: well, do do that. Cause more for me.
