2025.01.30 23:12 Low-Reflection-9767 Removing knots on piggie bottom?
Hi all,
One of the piggies I adopted yesterday has a decent sized, very compact knot on her backside between her legs. I’ve never dealt with knots with my other Abys so I’m a little nervous and unsure of how to approach this.
I don’t think it’s possible to brush it out plus I don’t want to put the little one through that experience.
I’m giving her a bath shortly and was hoping to address it at the same time but I’m also terrified of the idea of using scissors to cut it off 😬
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to do this, or should I just wait until she see’s the vet and have them do it? I just feel like it must be so uncomfortable for her 💔
I’ve had a search through previous posts but couldn’t see anything related to removing very matted knots on Abys, so sorry if this has been asked discussed before! Also, I have checked and am certain it’s not a growth/lump 🙂

I’ve been working in middle office at a large utility for the last couple years. I have about 6-7 YOE total, mostly in the gas and power markets. I’ve currently got a great reputation with our current power trading desk, but turnover is very low.
I recently got an offer as an origination/structuring manager at a startup IPP. The job focuses not only on the market side, but all aspects of the commercialization of their projects including financing, transmission interconnection, etc. This would be directly “client” facing for negotiation.
Should I hold out to try to be a trader or move over the origination?

2025.01.30 23:12 NixesMate Mt Baker sidecountry guide options
I'm a yearly visitor to Mt Baker and have always wanted to try Shuksan arm. Problem is nobody in my party can handle it, and I don't have avy gear. Can anyone think of or recommend a guide, or any way to safely try it?
I'm in good enough shape, have done a bunch of light-duty splitboarding and can handle anything inbounds at just about any resort. When I'm at Baker you'll find me in Gunner's or under Chair 5 for example. I just can't do big drops - need to keep the board on the snow. From what I've seen there are reasonably easy routes down towards looker's left. Maybe I'm wrong about that.
Also interested in general splitboarding guide recommendations - would be a solo day trip. Any advice welcome!

2025.01.30 23:12 Same-Ad-3389 Recurring Tonsillitis After Two Rounds of Antibiotics – Worried It’ll Come Back Again
Hi everyone,
I could really use some advice because I’m worried about my tonsillitis coming back again. Here’s what’s happened so far: • January 9th: Went to the ER with inflamed tonsils that had white patches. The doctor diagnosed me with strep throat and prescribed a 10-day course of amoxicillin. • During those 10 days, I visited my parents and used my toothbrush there. After finishing the antibiotics, I used that same toothbrush again. • Three days later: My tonsils became inflamed again with white patches. I went back to the ER, and they diagnosed me with tonsillitis. They gave me IV antibiotics, did a CT scan to rule out an abscess, and prescribed another 10-day course of amoxicillin. • Now: I have three days left on my second round of antibiotics. My tonsils are a lot better but still swollen, and I’m scared the infection will come back again once I finish the medication.
Things I’ve Done to Prevent Recurrence:
✔️ Replaced my toothbrush (after realizing I might’ve reinfected myself the first time) ✔️ Staying hydrated and resting as much as possible ✔️ Doing saltwater gargles and using honey for its antibacterial properties
My Concerns & Questions: • Since my tonsils are still swollen near the end of my antibiotics, does that mean the infection might not be fully gone? • Should I be worried about chronic or recurrent tonsillitis? • If this keeps happening, should I ask for a referral to an ENT? • Has anyone else dealt with something similar, and what helped you?
Any advice would be really appreciated! I just want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to avoid another recurrence. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been told that I’m very intimidating to men by the way that I am, along with the things that I have.
I’m a single mom of 3 divorced with house cars and good job.
Most men tell me I’m too aggressive and demanding then others say I have too many kids. There’s a few that will say I want too much or I’m too needy.
My girlfriends say I’m intimidating and most guys don’t want to be held accountable for their actions.
I’m easy going and find myself in situation-ships where we’re together today and to me your my boyfriend but to others I’m ur friend or u hide me all together. Then when I notice things I cut the guys off and move forward. I just want to know if I’m truly intimidating to men where I need to lower my standards ( not happening I will choose the bear) or lie about my living situation/ finances?

It’s difficult to say because she didn’t use magic even when they were stuck in the Summers home due to Dawn’s wish and hunted by that demon. And Buffy does naturally heal very fast so there’s a chance it wouldn’t even be necessary.

Thousands of years ago some tribes wrote down their moral codes along with their current understanding of universal origins (remember we weren’t even long into farming at this point so things like science were less robust than now)
and everyone since has decided this is the correct and best moral system along with the stories about how we got here. and that it’s correct because the scripture proclaims itself to be so, a scripture written by our early ancestors trying to make sense of the world. Human nature compels us to question our existence. Was it aided by agriculture which enabled us more free time to ponder and speculate things? If we suddenly had a steady supply of food and resources, we could focus more on philosophy.
And god was just one of our first attempts at this, the idea of an ultimate creator or creators, is a very human centric belief which is exactly what you’d expect in humans.
I reckon cows would have a cow god and snakes a snake god.

2025.01.30 23:12 PlanMaison bathroom refresh: Rainshower options when existing showed head pipe is about 77-78" high?
I want to refresh my bathroom a bit and also need to replace old shower valves (by a plumber). I like to end up with a rain shower head.
My current pipe height is 77" - 78" from floor. I am told that a rain shower head should be at 80". This means that the pipe need to come out of the wall higher than the 80" to allow for that L shaped "pipe".
What options should I consider?
1.) redo plumbing int he wall for pipe to come out higher. In my case this woudl be above tile line..... I could possibly add matching tile
2.) getting an adjustable rain head like this: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/52687-PK.html
However, I seem then often pictured attached to a regular bent (150 degree) or so pipe. I don't that look. I wonder if it could come out straight of the wall?
3.) shower head from ceiling
