So i just noticed that Uber does 2 different checks with Checkr ones a motor vehicle check and one is a general background check. Has anyone else experienced the general background check taking forever? My date has been changed 2 times now, are they just going to keep changing it? What gives all these other side hustle jobs use the same company and all of them come back in 24 hours why does Uber take so long? What are the requesting that these other companies are not, because I do know that they must be doing something different for them to take infinity longer than literally any other side hustle ive applied to. All of them come back in 24-48 hours not Uber.

We're in the US and have never been officially diagnosed. I'm self-diagnosed after seeing signs in my now 7 year old daughter and realizing that she's basically the same as me when I was a kid. We're both low support needs so getting a diagnosis isn't super necessary, but my therapist thinks having an official diagnosis will be beneficial, especially with my family and my daughter's school. We're both on wait lists for assessments. With everything happening in the US in the last week I don't think I want to go through with it. If we really do spiral into a full dystopia, I don't want an official diagnosis being on record and used against us. I'm probably just being paranoid, but I know enough history that I don't want to take extra risks. The assessments really were more for peace of mind and not feeling like an imposter.
Obviously as an adult there's not much benefit to having a diagnosis. My daughter does amazing with the school counselor and I don't think they'd provide any other support if she was diagnosed since she does so well in school. Would there be anything beneficial to having a diagnosis on record for her?

I've never posted here, but when I was looking for solutions to this problem, I came across this subreddit-The picture highlights my problem. This is the third the pipe has broken in this area. It was raining the last time (November) so we weren't in the yard much (and it isn't easily visible from inside), we lost about 40,000 gallons of water before we noticed the leak. My husband thinks that is due to earth movement. I spoke to a neighbor who is a commercial landscape architect, and she thought it was most likely caused from high pressure (the house is at 85 psi, we need to measure the irrigation line) going into a turn. Hubby wanted to put in a flex pipe (you can see a tiny bit of it in the photo). However, upon further investigation, the flex pvc is not meant to be under constant pressure. Does anyone have any idea as to A] WHY this keeps breaking at this particular spot (the high psi sounds like a good of an explanation - our neighbor didn't think it was due to earth 'movement' because the pipe is down so far -about 2.5 feet); B] HOW to repair it so it doesn't happen again. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, sorry for being a sudden frequent poster, this has just been a difficult road.
My (24f) partner (33m) and family have been pushing CBT books, telling me this isn’t harmful and won’t hurt me, and even joking about me being dramatic to me. I’m aware they’re trying to lighten the mood and help me, but I don’t know how to properly communicate how I feel with any of them. I feel like something is different in my brain and body, and I am having episodes of dissociation and seizures at random intervals multiple times an hour. I was only diagnosed the day before yesterday, and we haven’t given me time to adjust or see out my symptoms, but it just feels different now.
Are they right, am I overreacting? Will everything ease out, is CBT all I need? I have seen so many different statistics on success rates of FND/PNES (eg 1/3 gets better, 1/3 stays the same, 1/3 gets worse) and conflicting information. I’m so lost and nobody in my support circle seems to see how I feel.
