We refinished the floors and painted the walls a year ago and I am having a hard time decorating this room. I bought 2 new chairs, got rid of existing furniture but now I'm not sure if the chairs work for this space. The whole thing from dining area to living room seems so off with the furniture I have. Looking for ideas with pictures if possible please. My kitchen opposite this area is a cherry kitchen. I erased all the furniture in first pic.

Just looking for recommendations for a restaurant or bar to go to for dinner or drinks solo while in the area of Rene-Levesque and de la Montagne? I was going to visit my niece but she's got plans... 😆
I'm used to wandering around the Plateau, St-Denis, St-Laurent and the like but figured it wouldn't hurt to throw a feeler out there since I can explore a bit.

I am set to have an orientation for my new job tomorrow afternoon. I just got hired on Tuesday. On Saturday, I injured my knee snowboarding. Thought I'd be alright, but went to the doctor today and was told I should not be walking around much and should be resting it. Currently awaiting an Xray and MRI, as it seems I tore something. I got a note from my doctor, stating that I cannot be on my feet for long periods of time. This job is a fast paced kitchen job. What do I tell my boss?? I feel so bad, but realistically, I don't believe I'll be able to safely work at the moment...do I express this to her, but still convey my desire to work there once cleared, or will they just let me go? I'm located in Connecticut.

Last year, I signed up for a membership at a local boxing gym but stopped attending due to frequent work-related travel. I haven’t been there since early October, so they’ve received at least $390 from me ($130 per month). I initially tried to cancel via email with one of the owners, but I didn’t get a clear response.

Get up before him, let the dog out, get ready, feed the dog, go to work, work a full day, get home, take the dog for a walk, make dinner, help clean up and prep for the next day... sometimes it all just feels like too much and all I want is to hit pause for a few minutes, get lost in each other, create our own little world of physical touch and sensation.
But, that's not going to happen, so maybe I'll just take a bath instead.
