I’m starting to feel like I should just lie about my flight attendant experience. I’ve been a flight attendant for the past two years with a low-cost carrier, and my goal is to transition to a mainline airline. I’ve been to multiple face-to-face interviews with different mainline carriers, but I still can’t seem to get a conditional job offer. It’s frustrating because I feel like I’m wasting my time—especially after my last interview, which I thought went really well.
I answered all the questions clearly and concisely, stuck to the STAR format, and didn’t ramble. My group bonded well, and we were even told we were one of the best groups in the interview process. Despite that, I still wasn’t selected. From my experience, it feels like mentioning that I’m a flight attendant actually works against me rather than helping. You’d think my experience would be an advantage, but it seems like airlines prefer to hire people with no prior flight attendant experience. Because of that, I try not to mention my current role unless directly asked. But even when I do, I keep my response brief and professional.
Trust me, I know—I’ve been to training before, and there’s always that one person who constantly mentions that they were a flight attendant or worked at a different airline every five minutes. It can be annoying, especially when it’s unprovoked. But that’s not me. I don’t bring up my experience unless it’s relevant, and I make sure my situational answers are balanced between my flight attendant role and my previous jobs in the theme park industry.
Another thing I’ve noticed is a disconnect between the video interview and the face-to-face recruiters. The video interview recruiters seem supportive of my experience, but when I get to the in-person interview, it feels like a different mindset—almost like they don’t want anyone with airline experience. The worst example was a United Airlines interview a few months ago, where they walked out a group of us. In the elevator, we realized we had all previously worked for airlines. Meanwhile, most of the people who were left behind and moved forward in the process came from completely different industries. I know for a fact that one of them was a registered nurse.
And that’s what’s so frustrating—why even invite us to the interview in the first place when our experience is clearly listed on our résumés? It feels like a complete waste of time, especially when they seem to favor candidates from completely different industries. If they don’t want experienced flight attendants, they could easily filter us out during the application process instead of making us go through the entire interview just to walk us out early. It just doesn’t make sense. If anything, having experience should make us stronger candidates, not the opposite.
My last interview felt like my strongest one yet. I passed the jumpseat and reach test, answered all my questions in a professional and structured way, and I think everyone in my group assumed I would have gotten the job that day. And yet, I was one of the first names called to walk out. That’s never a good sign. At this point, I don’t know what they’re really looking for.

I officially got a job, you guys! After thousands of job applications, 17 months of unemployment, $300+ in gas and interview clothes, and $50 in certifications (for this job), I finally got a job.
It’s not at all in my field (I used to be in banking and could not for the life of me find a single job that was hiring at the wage I was previously making, ~$28/hr). My degree is in business. Even the LOW paying jobs weren’t hiring me.
But this job pays $29/hr and has fairly decent wage increases. No more unemployment for BTT 🫡🫡

Forerunner 645 with an attitude
Hey guys, My watch has been acting weird since yesterday. I absolutely LOVE this watch and I use it daily; indoooutdoor, biking (Spin, road, mountain), swimming (pool/open water), gym, running, etc.. I even use it as my alarm clock. Long story short, I cannot live without it. Over the past six months, my run, bike, and swim distances have been inaccurate. When training with friends, my watch would sometimes register significantly shorter or longer distances during longer rides or runs. About a month ago, I looked for an update and installed it.
Last night, after an indoor swimming, the screen on my watch started flickering. As shown in the video, I have to press down on it for the display to work. Otherwise, the watch itself seems to be functioning fine. I plan to go to the gym tonight and record a training session to see if that works. I also tried turning the watch off and on, but that didn't resolve the issue.
Since the watch is three years old, I don't believe Garmin will take any action regarding it.
Have you experienced a similar issue with your watch? Do you have any suggestions?

I didn't care that he "died" in marbles, and It was even kind of irritating that he was stalling. And I don't know why Gi-Hun seemed to have the best relationship with him, that's the only thing I didn't care for in season 1.

Luke forgives my MC then has a change of heart because he gets thrown off the team and it's all my characters fault, she does however have a go at Groff finally goes home and finds out her parents are seperating and she's been kicked out of her own house. Ah why can she not stay with her mum or dad instead of getting shipped off to someone else's house. I'm ready to burn this who thing to the ground. It's not gotten to the point where MC is constantly bullied and made to feel like shit for everything. Yea wellbeing for the mental health of those playing this game has not taken into consideration.

Ok I've tried n i think I'm done ive made all the posts in communities I've joined random disc servers. Ive gone out to social interest clubs but I'm never interesting enough and struggle keeping a conversation going its like tryna turn on a car engine that just won't start. At first last werk, I notice the freezer is not in high freezing state like ice cream is not hard but it is still had ice. I clear the setting and do the Power Freeze mode and it was able to get it freeze again. Then today, it is thawing out again with puddle of water at bottom. I open and the ice was melting and the food was soft and thawing out. I open the back to vacuum the dust, the freeze inside was open and it doesn't look like it the coil was frosted that much to make it shut down. When I open the fridge side, the fan is still going or the noise but on the freezer side, it would stop the low humming noise when I open but no cold air was blowing. The temperature outside the house is -5 F and you can feel it is cold, but inside the freezer, it is cool like when you running a fan. How would the fan noise or how to check if it is the evaporator fan not working? One thing I noticed is before my refrigerator would make a large vibrate humming sound once in a while on the freezer side like it is running. It doesn't do that anymore and I have no ideas what make those large vibrate sound. I turn the auto energy saver off since it doesn't freeze but it shouldn't be a problem if it work.

Hello,
I've been trying to implement this paper in simulink. The idea is that the feed forward compensator should counter the input position such that the output is zero. In other words the compensator needs to output a value that is equal and opposite to the input angular position. The problem is that when I implement it based on this paper, It doesn't behave at all as mentioned or maybe I've done something wrong in simulink. Could someone take a look at it. For context, my background is in mathematics but not control system engineering specifically. T
