2025.01.30 23:41 subminbeginner date questions to keep him talking about himself
i like that shera stresses keeping the conversation on him at all times and really listening to what a man says (because most of the time they rat themselves out lol)
so, ladies.. what sort of questions do you ask a man to keep the conversation on him?
i feel like i don’t really ask a lot of questions (interview type questions, if you know what i mean) but i just keep bouncing off of what he tells me so, if he says something like “i enjoy this type of relationship.” i’ll say “what do you enjoy about it?” he answers and then i’ll say “tell me more about XY&Z.”
but i do feel like there will be awkward pauses and that leaves room for him to ask me things about myself and i keep my answer short and sweet (and i’ve heard from a few men that i’m extremely hard to get a read on which i like and will be keeping it that way)
do you ask questions? or do you just see how he replies and follow how to steer the conversation? do you share a lot about yourself on dates/text or do you keep your replies/answers very minimal and bubbly (like i try to do) typically when a man asks me a personal question (sex, money, relationship, family) that i am uncomfortable to answer i will say “a nice girl never tells.” super cute maybe laugh it off and usually (depending on the man) he gets the point to move on or i’ll just tell a white lie (lol)
thank you for the advice just want to make sure i’m operating the way shera tells us too!

 | I did have a pretty large algae bloom last week due to the bright white light that came with this tank. I’ve been keeping the light off (I know it’s on right now but I just turn it on to see my shrimp, snails, and fish to make sure everyone is okay). I still see a slight green tint to the water, but noticing more of a cloudiness to it. Do we think it’s bacteria and if so, is it harmful?  | Seeking some help! I’ve had my dogface puffer for a little over a year now. He had an ich outbreak about 7 months ago- fins were covered in it! He recovered fairly quickly and has been healthy since. But these two white spots have remained on the edge of his eye and I can’t figure out what it is. Other than that, he’s been super happy, playful, and continues to eat like a pig. I’m grateful for anyone that can clue me in or offer advice on what’s on his eye. Spouse reaching that magical age.
We openly talk about the celebration. Family flying in etc. doesn't have to be a surprise necessarily.
I thought it could be cool the have a pic of each of her years - until she told me that would be more for the family, not her (since she has seen them and has to help gather them).
Always we put on the correct amount of candles on the round cake. So much light.

ok so im just really in a state of confusion, i was completely blindsided. there are so many details that i missed that led up to the break up but ill tell you the ending of our relationship. so the weekend before my ex went away (mid december) for a holiday everything was perfect like he was saying sweet things, we were having fun times but on the sunday he said something like this years gonna be hard, it’s gonna be hard to balance us and his career an uni etc but i was like we can work through it, ill make time for you but also let you live your life. i guess this was just foreshadowing the days to come. but he leaves and the second night he doesnt text me goodnight which he always does. the next morning i call him out for it and we go back and forth and then i said can you at least tell me you love me and then hes like “its getting hard” like what??? this is over text btw. anyway we continue to go back and forth and he says he doesnt want this relationship because he cant balance his life (this is one of three reasons). i think he just wanted a way out of it. anyway after this he ghosts me for three days. on the third day he is back at home and i send him a long paragraph abt how im hurt and if he doesnt respond then i know my worth to him, but he responds saying to meet up w him at 7pm. i reluctantly agree and the first thing he does is get out of his car and hug me so tightly. then we get into his car and i say he looks so tired and he says you look so beautiful. bruh. anyway we drive to this park and we just talk and watch the sunset. he tells me hes breaking up because we go in circles about this same issue (second reason) that is just so simple to fix i dont understand. i cry and he tells me ill always be in his heart, all of the cliche. then fast forward a little and we are side hugging and he turns to me and starts ugly crying. he tells me i always blame myself and that its not my fault (third reason). i dont really get this because how is this a reason to break up with someone, like if he wasnt gonna take accountability who was?? we cry and we hug and then we head back to the car and just keep talking about our lives and its like we dont wanna leave each other and everything we talk about is just so nice because we havent talked this deep in so long. we drive and park in front of my house and continue to talk and then he asks if i want to kiss him. i was hesitant because obviously i wanted to but i knew it was a bad idea but i gave in. when j tell you this is the most romantic kiss i have ever kissed. i felt the spark reignite like holy fuck. so that lasts for a bit and then i go back to my house, very confused.
the next day i text him first talking about how i failed the IB (not actually) and he told me he was so proud of me. bruh. anyway since i was still confused i asked what we were and he said he was set on breaking up with me but seeing me in person changed that idea. bruh. he then suggests we go on a break until new years (suggestion) then i respond hmm if you want a new years kiss hmu (ik cringe) and then he completely ghosts me and doesnt respond. its now been SIX WEEKS and i havent heard anything from him. so he basically just left me in the deep end to drown.
but yesterday was the first time in 6 weeks ive seen him or heard his voice bc he was at the same trials as me. but we didnt talk we jsut made eye contact and i deadpanned him and turned away. i really wanted him to come up to me but idk what i wouldve done because im so mad but im also yearning. i have trials next week so i will bump into him again, do i talk to him or pretend like his absence means nothing to me?
im just really in a state of anger, confusion and saddness. all my friends say to block him on everything, delete photos, get huzz but i really dont want to. he wasnt the best boyfriend but i really loved him and i guess im holding onto the good parts of him. ive had three boyfriends and this is the only one that ive truly wanted to give my all and marry and i still want to marry him after all this bullshit.
so does anyone have any advice or words of comfort/encouragement. i know i should let him go but i really dont want to.

After watching the plane-helicopter crash announcement today, I have to seriously consider safety and need your input. Reason I’m asking in the first paragraph. Specific questions after that.
I often drive myself but regularly spend extra time to recover from the journey. I go to work, the doctor, and hardly anything else but sometimes necessities like clothes or haircut. I load and unload in a van with a lift. It’s not very easy to “Grey Man” my presence unless I park in the back which makes me feel more vulnerable. I often wear a mask. I can fatigue easily if I have had to push hard. I worry that if something were to happen I need to know modified self defense techniques. I did martial arts long ago, but that was another lifetime and body ability is far different and varying moment to moment. I could technically run but I don’t know how long before falling. I’m scared and I am looking for logical solutions in a world where people with disabilities are to blame for planes crashing before the evidence even exists.
Have any of you had experiences of using self defense with CFS? Severe sudden pain? Basically anything that comes on strong without much ability to contain the symptom? What would be your advise based on that experience(s)? What worked and what didn’t?
If you don’t have answers, that’s okay. In fact if you are able to think of more questions please share. I hope we can come together to provide safety in this community. Maybe this can be a post that we update as a resource. Maybe I’m too hopeful, but I don’t want to “just go die” like some people think we should. I want to survive to be seen again like the human I am.

After a few days, may nagpapop up na message “This card has no supplementary accounts” sa ESTA. After repeated calls and countless follow ups sa CS, naayos din. Working ulit si supplementary.
