I just broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years, she constantly would tear me down and just if the last few weeks she has, texted other guys that she used to talk to then hid the messages and lied about it, told me she lowered her standards for me, told me Iām not masculine, and yelled at me then apologizes days later saying she will never do that again when she realizes Iām nothing but good to her. Hi, I was admitted to UNC like a week ago + honors carolina. I'm aware that being a part of honors isn't worth a whole lot (from what I've gathered here), but I figured I would want to dorm in Cobb if given the opportunity since it seems like a really nice/clean dorm and is closer to classes.
I have a couple of questions about it though, and whenever I try to look it up I just keep finding the same threads I've already read.
- How is the roommate selection process if I were to try and dorm in Cobb? Can I request a roommate from outside of honors for cobb, or would that not be allowed/I'd have to find another honors student? Is random roommate assignment worth it?
- Is there any other website apart from Instagram to use to find roommates with similar priorities? Is there an option to find another roommate in Honors in that website (considering the first question)?

Hi! I am currently living in Canada (Canadian and British citizenship) and have been toying with the idea of moving to Aus (Brisbane maybe?) on a 1 year work VISA. I am a soon to be BSW graduate, however I donāt believe I meet the qualifications to be a registered social worker with the AASW.
Iām a young woman in my mid twenties and am very open to working in entry level social service positions to gain a bit of experience in a new place (thatās warm and sunny :-)). I worry about how realistic it will be for me to find work, and would love some insight.
I have tons of serving experience and have been a barista since I was 15 but I am really hoping to enter the SW field while Iām eager and fresh out of school.
I have tried reaching out to universities to get some clarification about the AASW and how to practice as a social worker, but it hasnāt been super helpful.
I would love to connect with social workers in the area to discuss my options!

Hey everyone I have been wanting to get into BMX for a about a year now and I realize I might as well get into it now. I watch videos from time to time so I know I want to do it.
Some back story. I ride motorcycles all the time and Iām not too bad at it. I have quite a few bikes but mostly dirt bike at the moment so two wheels isnāt new.
I say this because I am looking for a bike to start that isnāt junk but isnāt expensive that I wonāt have to replace quickly. Iām not assuming it will be easy because I know it wonāt. but it wonāt be as hard as someone completely new since Iām used to jumping over things and hard terrain. I just donāt want to get something that needs to be replaced ASAP and I donāt want it to be too expensive in case I hate it which isnāt likely.

Iām conflicted whether to go into a political career (e.g: poli sci, econ, and/or international relations) or into med (honestly only considering it cause i do well in bio and it makes good money). I wanted to ask if itās really worth it to major in one (or more) of the politics majors i listed. So many people tell me iām going to end up unemployed but im really passionate about it.

So Tuesday and Wednesday was interesting especially Tuesday so Iām going to jump straight into it. My first post I forgot to mention that Dirt Girl picks and chooses when to listen and Tuesday is an excellent example.
So Tuesday afternoon we helped out on the farm (my college has Agriculture courses) and as some of farm lecturers was off ill we helped out as itās lambing season and it can get hectic. Well, we were told at the beginning of the lesson that weād be mucking out pens, topping up hay/straw and moving sheepās/lambs around. Well Dirt Girl didnāt listen to any of this and she thought that we were helping the sheep give birth by sticking our hands in their rear end and pulling the lambs out which caused her to have a complete meltdown as she didnāt want to do that and the lecturers were reassuring her that we wasnāt doing any of that but she wasnāt having it so she sat a classroom for 3 and a half hours.
So Wednesday afternoon, we collected trail cameras that we placed last week and on the way there Dirt Girl found a branch and carried it around with her until the lecturer (he doesnāt take any of her crap) saw it and told her to put it down but she said no but eventually she did put it down and when we got to one of the trail cameras (we put 2 down in separate spots) she was still complaining to our lecturer about him telling her to put the branch down. She wondered ahead of us back to the classroom once we collected the trail cameras and the LSA asked where Dirt Girl went and once she was located, someone in my class said āshe makes everyone worryā and me and two others responded āwe donāt worry about her as we hate herā fell on death ears but I didnāt care at least I managed to a tiny bit vent about her and itās obvious why she wondered ahead of all of us

Iām thinking of getting a banjo because I love the sound but oddly enough Iām not like a massive fan of banjo music and much prefer it when the banjo is used as something more similar to a guitar rather than it doing bluegrass solos.

Like I said, I do enjoy the sound of the banjo more than y that of a guitar but if doing this on a banjo would be too hard because of the difference these instruments have, then Iāll bite the bullet and get a guitar.
