2025.01.30 23:42 shnanogans Does anyone else have to pee SO FUCKING MUCH during a flare up?
Considering all the other stuff we have to deal with it’s not even close to the worst symptom but it’s incredibly annoying. ESPECIALLY if you’re on a road trip.

2025.01.30 23:42 RelevantSalt3231 What is heavy alcohol use withdrawal like when in a detox facility?
Dropped my hubs off at detox this morning and cant stop wondering what he’s going through. He tried to stop drinking several times on his own unsuccessfully so Im really proud of him for making this step. He drank at least half a handle daily so I take comfort in knowing he’s in a facility that can help prevent seizures and other associated risks. Does anyone have experience they would be willing to share? Is he comfortable? Is he crappin’ his pants? Is it emotional? Is he in pain? Sleeping? If someone could paint a picture Id appreciate it.

2025.01.30 23:42 firefly317 What can we do with eggs with Omega3 (they taste like fish oil)?
We accidentally bought a two pack of eggs with added Omega3 - and if you boil them the yolks taste disgusting. I don't want to risk them in something like baking in case they contaminate the taste, but any ideas what we can do to disguise the flavour? Or any ideas for things we could make that would be strong enough to hide/overpower the taste.

2025.01.30 23:42 Helpful_Career_3898 LA water quality
Hi MGMs, I live in Los Angeles and am pregnant with my first. I have gone down a bit of a rabbit hole re: water quality after the fires. We are in Hollywood Hills and do not live near the Boil Water zone (ie Palisades, Altadena, etc), but I bought myself a dinky water quality meter and just tested our water. Our unfiltered sink water is 180ppm (100-200ppm is hard water, 200-300ppm is marginally acceptable tap water). The water from our alkaline spicket (filter was just replaced) reads 52ppm. Ideal drinking water is 0-50ppm. I'm trying not to lose my mind here....what would you do, moms?!

The Kings are known to covet Stephon Castle, but there is serious skepticism in league circles that San Antonio will be willing to include him.
Per league sources, the Kings continue to navigate a flurry of interest that has come their way as a result of the revelation. One league source indicated that more than half the teams in the NBA have inquired. 2025.01.30 23:42 Hydro_Land The Weeknd's final Trilogy has seen me grow
It's incredible to think about how After Hours - Dawn FM - now finally Hurry Up Tomorrow has all seen me grow from a teenager into an adult, as a fan of Michael Jackson, Prince and plenty of past RNB/soul artists this trilogy has been special for me, from the use of the Linn drum in Dawn FM inspired by Prince and 80s radio, reviving the 80s sound into mainstream, the cinematic experience from the albums, and the vibe of After Hours during quarentine, these are all once in a lifetime experience that I don't see happening again for a very long time.
I was a sophomore in high school when After Hours was being rolled out, as a young boy, of course, I had experiences with putting on masks, smoking w33d and talking to girls, although his music will never be something I fully relate to, the character he put on reflected to me during this time, school being cut short, quarantine being such a dark yet bittersweet time in my life, it was amazing, I vividly remember being broken up with during 2019, finding another person to talk to, and sometime in February hearing the song After Hours that released as a single
"Wow, this isn't poppy like the other songs; this is kind of dark," I thought as I played through the song after my math class.
It was so different, a dark song comparable to BBTM or the mixtapes/Kiss Land but poppy like Starboy, it essentially opened my eyes as I was captivated with the lyrics, it struck a few nerves cuz of my childish situation back then 5 years ago lol. The album came out in March when school was ending, seeing the weather brighten up, clear up and get warmer, it felt like a fresh flower blooming, something new and something to indulge in as I started my fitness journey in 2020, I hyper fixated on this album.
Fast forward to Dawn FM's rollout, music started getting boring, and there were no good releases, I was already a high school graduate so I was jobless, stuck between quarantine and restrictions being opened up, no car, I had nothing but my group of friends to talk to, I was severely anxious, an insomniac and somewhat depresso espresso, I was excited for Dawn FM, he was releasing a single in the summer and the feature with Kanye on hurricane, it was exciting. The album was released, I pressed play... and then 20 mins later I thought,
"what the fuck is this shit, this isn't After Hours 2"
like many listeners on this sub, I was one of the people who thought Dawn FM was bad at initial listen, but as I digested it the next day after my first day of college, I understood, that it isn't meant to be a repeat of the last album, its meant to continue, yet it was darker and freeing. Dawn FM became my most listened-to album on Apple Music, and the album taught me more as I got older, I've never been in a serious relationship at all during this time, I was a fresh adult when this album came out, I was getting into more serious situations with my partners at this time, experiencing adulthood, indulging on edibles to help my anxiety, but the message from Jim Carrey and Abel saying "this part I do alone" as an opener was already the next step into my development as a man.
Now we're here during HUT, in a healthy adult relationship, no longer relying on recreational means to help myself, healed as a person, essentially being the person my 16-year-old self wanted to be, successful in my fitness and combat sports, thanks to having Abel's music to relate to.
Thank you, Abel, for the music, the last two albums have been incredible to experience, hopefully, now I can afford to see you on this tour.
Cheers to everyone who waited this long, I'd love to hear your stories as well!
TL;DR: The trilogy's music helped me through tough times, hbu guys?

2025.01.30 23:42 gooniegon Family's Business Going Under
Howdy,
I’ve been debating whether or not to post this. I’m not even sure if it’s okay to share, but here it goes. I graduated from Texas A&M last spring with big hopes and aspirations. After seeing my parents work tirelessly since I was born, I decided to hit pause on my own plans and open a restaurant to help them out. It’s a small mom-and-pop place, and I was hoping this would be our chance to support my family. We opened in November, and it’s been brutal.
I started working 3 jobs to pay off everything the sales don't cover. I have put in my blood sweat and tears into keeping this open. I started my doctoral degree this past fall, and I’m struggling to see the end of this tunnel. We’re a Mexican restaurant, and I would love nothing more than to keep our doors open. I just don't know what to do. If you're an Aggie and you have any advice, please share it with me. If you have none, I still appreciate you taking the time to read this.
Thank you for your time Gig 'em
A defeated aggie

2025.01.30 23:42 Designer_Lecture_219 A few more minor details.
Tank is completely installed now, kill switch moved up front, lights installed. Ran the valve cover vent up high and added a check valve to keep it from pulling in outside air.
Have the battery box built, just need to install. Also picked up a cheap solar battery tinder to try out. I’m just going to zip tie it in place for now and see how it works out before I add any tabs for it.
Thoughts?

2025.01.30 23:42 avid-learner-bot A Mysterious Note and Gift
This morning, I found a small note taped to my front door along with a simple but beautiful potted plant. The note didn't have any signature or explanation. It just said 'For you.'
I've never received anything like this before from anyone in the neighborhood. Has something like this ever happened to you?

2025.01.30 23:42 briancalpaca Who flies from San Diego to LA?
I love murder by the book, but every time I watch it (like just now) I'm shocked that the key thing that kept bugging columbo was that Franklin drove back from SD instead of flying. I've made that trip many times and even twice had to make an urgent return home unexpectedly, and never did we ever even consider flying. I've taken the train a couple of times for fun, but it just doesn't seem in any way to be that much, if any, faster to deal with airports and parking and then not having a car when you get to LA etc.
I'm working on writing down rankings, reviews, and musings on all the episodes now that I'm happy with the things I want to cover for each, but this one always bugs me more than just about anything else.
I'd get if it was a commute, so you were doing it all the time, you'd have everything down pat, but you'd also be flying both ways. For the occasional trip when you are already there in your car. I just can't make it work as something that would bug me.
Maybe you just assume most people watching dont really know that trip well and would never think about it. Like anything in TV and film, if you know enough about the subject, you just see everything they did wrong.

Ive been feeding my cat Tiki and she LOVES it. But now looking for alternatives to start getting her used to other brands. She’s not the biggest fan of Weruva and Nulo unfortunately..
Looking to see others experience with ACANA! Their reviews are good BUT they are paid promotional reviews so I don’t really trust them.
