I wanted to share a wonderful experience my mom had on her recent flight with Delta. It was her first time flying, and on her return trip on January 25th, she had a particularly pleasant interaction with one of the flight attendants. He was a kind and helpful young man who assisted her with her light. She also felt that he was genuinely happy to see someone of Middle Eastern descentâshe sensed that he might have been missing his family and found comfort in the connection.
My mom has been thinking about him all week and even prayed for him after hearing about the plane crash in DC this past weekend. She was especially worried because her flight was arriving around the same time at the same airportâuntil she learned it was an American Airlines flight.
We would love to express our gratitude to this flight attendant and, if possible, invite him over for tea. Please let us know if thereâs any way to get in touch with him.

I'm now 40 years old but in 8th grade I was very close to this girl we will call Meghan. Meghan had a crush on this boy and she asked me to talk to him you for her to find out if he liked her back. So one day during lunch, I went over to him to feel out what he thought of my friend. I asked him and he didn't know who I meant when I said her name so I started to describe her and he said, "oh. You mean that Benjamin Franklin looking girl you hang out with?" And I had never thought about it but she DID look like Benjamin Franklin so I started cracking up because it was funny and I had no self control. When I went back to the table to join her, she asked me why I had been laughing so hard (I was laughing so hard I was crying), I told her that her crush had just said something stupid but that he told me he likes someone else. We left it at that but then our classmate Andrea (who had been sitting near us when the laughing incident happened) told Meghan that I had been laughing at her with her crush because we were saying she looks like Benjamin Franklin. :(
Meghan confronted me after school and I told her we weren't making fun of her but that I had asked him about her, like she asked, and that's how he described her. I assured her she's beautiful and I was just laughing because it was stupid but she told me she saw how hard i was laughing and refused to talk to me again. I really loved Meghan and I wish I hadn't laughed that day. I've always missed her. In our early 20s I found her on MySpace and tried to apologize but she ignored me. You live, you learn.

There's been a bit of chatter on the board about $NVDY, the income (YieldMax) derivative play on $NVDA, specifically about the dividend payouts.
I purchased a bit of NVDY in November at a price of $26.01. To date, I have received two dividend payouts for a total of 8% of the underlying purchase price. If this performance continues, the extrapolated payout will be about 48%.
I purposely kept the investment low so I could track the performance of the instrument into its dividend payouts. As it stands, the position is down 25.6%. I have been close to doubling up the position to capitalize on the lower price of NVDA.
We'll see, but I wanted to chime in with the experience.

India currently has roughly 200 Mk5/7 Centurions in service and another 100 in reserves. These tanks have performed exceptionally in the latest war, but are at risk of becoming outdated. They need some serious upgrades, but could still be a formidable part of our forces for years to come. This comes on the heels of concerns regarding the 300 Vijayanta tanks that we have in service currently. There is a growing desire to reduce the number of tanks that we have in service as we currently have 6 different types of tanks in our service.
Utilizing our knowledge of the British tanks, and our growing experience with the Soviet technology, Project Samrat will begin prototyping upgrade packages on Centurions in our reserve.
Centurion Samrat Mk I
The Mk I variant will be using the V-55 engine from the T-55. While the Rolls-Royce Meteor petrol engine has 20 more horsepower than the 12-cylinder diesel, 580 hp V-55 engine, the V-55 provides better fuel efficiency as it is a diesel engine, and will have better logistics with our T-55 tanks already in service. This engine will require a new engine compartment design as the mounting and cooling systems differ significantly from the Rolls-Royce engine. This is why we are going to prototype a reserve tank to test this.
Centurion Samrat Mk II (If we can eventually acquire the engines)
The Mk II variant will be using the V-46 engine from the T-72. The V-46 has significantly more horsepower than the Rolls-Royce engine and the V-55 engine at 780hp, while also being a diesel engine. This will increase the mobility and speed of the Centurion, while also being more reliable and compatible with our existing supplies. These engines are also known to be reliable and durable for harsh conditions. This engine will require a new engine compartment design as the mounting and cooling systems differ significantly from the Rolls-Royce engine. This is why we are going to prototype a reserve tank to test this.
Unified Developments
For both variants the transmission is going to be difficult, and require significant investment. The Centurion currently uses the Merritt-Brown transmission which is robust and adaptable to more powerful engines, but pairing it with a Soviet engine may require a custom coupling mechanism or a completely new Soviet transmission. Soviet transmissions are simpler than the British one, and they are considered rugged but might not fully utilize the Centurion's advanced drivetrain design. Compatibility would need to be engineered. There will be a lot of work in this effort to have a proper transmission developed for the Samrat variants.
In addition, add-on armor and slat armor will be added to the variants in the hopes of providing more survivability for these tanks. We will continue to have smoke grenade launchers mounted on the turrets to provide smoke cover for the tanks. While the T-55 turret traversal will not work on the Centurion, we will take the upgraded system from the Vijayanta, which is also a hydraulic system but will be upgraded for better reliability and performance. A Soviet Luna L-2 infrared searchlight will be mounted on the tank along with a TVN-1 infrared driver's periscope and IR headlight to help with night operations. In addition, there will be a turret mounted NSV-12.7mm and turret mounted PKT. This provides the tanks with enough supporting fire and anti-infantry capability.
The 105mm L7 gun is already better than the standard armament of the T-55, but we can upgrade the fire control and optics with the Soviet systems. This would be a cost-effective modernization of the system which will hopefully drastically improve the tank. In addition, we will take more modern Soviet electrical systems and from the Vijayanta in order to upgrade the Centurion systems.
Depending on prototype testing that will occur after these developments, we hope to see how effective these tanks are, to then conduct mass upgrades for the Centurions in our service.

My band is playing our first legit show (not an open mic or showcase) we play alt rock/indy type of band. We get a lot of good response from crowds at open mics and showcases but now weâre opening for 2 bands. We have 18 monthly listeners on Spotify. They have 7k and 16k. Both rock/hardcore bands with more screaming vocals and heavier riffs but they do a lot of clean vocal singing as well so I donât think vocal wise were too far out. Anyways looking for some advice on the subject to settle nerves and what not. Have you ever had an experience similar?
