Has anyone ever been offered to work with their affiliation abroad if they were not selected as a finalist?
I'm a semifinalist who applied for a research grant. My affiliation is with a national research center. I really like the focus of group that I have been invited to work alongside. My research project is closely aligned with a current project there. The research lead said I am a good fit and they can see me benefiting their group because of my skills and interests. They do hire current university graduate students and young professionals often. If I don't end up a finalist, I would still love the opportunity to pursue research and work with them. I was wondering if anyone especially those in research was still invited to their host country to work on a project and get paid to do so, either for a regular Fulbright term length or longer?

I live in the states and currently work as a school occupational therapist. I have worked in schools with students with special needs age 3-21 for 6 years. I also have 12 years of experience working with adults as an OT.
At my school a teacher is currently running an ESL group daily that I could help with to gain experience.
I have a bachelors in health care sciences and a Masters degree in occupational therapy.
My husband and I are looking to move abroad but I’m struggling to figure out what to do for work. I’m considering TEFL especially since I have experience as an educator although not a teacher.
At this time I think I would prefer to work with kids but I may be interested in working with adults. I’ve wondered if I could work with adults who are healthcare providers wanting to learn English.
I would love any input on my situation and TEFL. Is it worth it? Or is the field over saturated? Are full time positions available? I had a friend that taught ESL online to Japanese businessmen but struggled having full time work.

2025.01.31 00:22 Lght_Spd How to bleed brakes when both M/C and ABS ran dry?
I’m having a bleeding issue.
I made a critical error (learning lesson) to completely let the system bleed out to the point that the master and ABS both ran dry. I know shame on me.
I have thrown about a gallon of fluid at it. I even went so far as to replace the master cylinder and a bench bleed prior to install in lieu of bench bleeding the old M/C.
I also opened up two of 4 ports from the ABS pump and got bubbles out of there as well. I have done 5 cycles of ABS bleed activations with a handheld Tech 2 via the OBD II Port.
I have solid streams of fluid from all four corners with no bubbles. I have filled 1 bottle at each corner when I bleed all four corners.
When the car is not on, the pedal feels amazing. Holds pressure the whole 9 yards.
As soon as the car is turned on and the vacuum assist kicks in from the brake booster, the pedal is like a wet noodle. No positive feel whatsoever.
The pedal does come back to its home position though
instead of I have now received from about 4 people that the lack of a positive feel when the car is on is an unexplained phenomenon but that I should drive it and that the issue will “work itself out”
Being that my house is on a hill with a 30% downgrade to flat level ground is not giving me confidence to drive the car with the hope things will work themselves out.

Every time I get Covid , In the weeks and months following, my mood drops significantly and my anxiety skyrockets.
I track everything , mood, anxiety, sleep, supplements, it happens every single time, usually starting around a week after Covid .

Been on the counter three years now. Work 2 stores that are completely different in every aspect had to learn CDK all on my own, and the catalogs. I had to teach myself a lot. I do all the warranty send backs/picture requests everyday. I scrap the scrap list. I was wondering if me making 42K a year is underpaying for what I have learned from the ground up. It kinda bothers me they said last year they were gonna give me a raise but I asked 3 weeks ago and it got denied by the GM supposedly. I just feel extremely overwhelmed and overworked at times.

Squatting 2 days ago, usually feel a bit of pressure on rear delts during squat but nothing concerning, re racking weights I used my left arm a bit (I know) and felt some discomfort which subsided immediately. Next morning rear delt area of shoulder is sore to rotate and aches. Sounds like no big deal but stupid me researched this and everything comes up as rotator cuff and l'm screwed. It's possible as rear delt doesn't hurt when flexed just rotated. Anyways I'm scared honestly and don't want to lose any/much progress, anyone have any experience with minor shoulder injuries/ strains? Will I be back to 100% soon? Full ROM w/ some pain. Pain subsides slightly with motion and stretching
