You may know me from such threads as getting the TA03RS I built in 8th grade back on the road so my kids can play with it. I succeeded in that, then realized things that were expensive back in the day are now cheap and have modded it. Super stock rz motor with bearing mod, 25T pinion, lihv 2s battery, aluminum rear axles. When I was a kid I changed it to RWD to be more fun and get the most top speed out of my 13T motor (ironically with the modern 23t motorn it's faster than the 13t was). With the mods it is crazy fast. I don't know how fast but I would estimate 20mph faster than it was before. However, it is impossible to control at these speeds. Any braking immediayely spins the car. Going to full throttle even from 30% of it's top speed will cause it spin out. I just have no grip. It uses 26mm wide tires, so not a lot of choice. Im using the HPI spec grip tires.
What suspension mods can I do to get more grip? Softer springs a good idea? Lighter weight shock oil? Sway bars? I guess I should give it more front toe in? Is there a better rear diff I could install? I don't want to restore it to 4wd because rwd is more fun... or at least was until I made it this fast.

So I've narrowed it down the hate to jealous dudes with their girls, meathead jocks and road cyclists. These are the demographics of ppl that I've been observing the most hate comes from. All the college kids love it when I ride downtown, surprisingly the ppl that are handicapped with wheelchairs and scooters are the most intrigued by the unicycle and tell me "that sure looks like a lot of fun" as I drive by 😄. This is honestly too much fun, I'm gonna hit 1k by the end of the weekend I'm sure of it!!

2025.01.31 01:04 Bocabowa What’s the proper way to animate a character interacting with another object? (Ex: character reloading a gun)
Let’s say a character is reloading a gun, the player pulls the magazine out of the gun. Would you create a separate animation for the gun, and the character then play both animations at the same time?
What if the player is reloading a bazooka? Is there an animation made for each gun in the game? I assume you could mix key frame with procedural animation but that seems tedious for finger placements, etc.
Another example is an NPC rocking in a chair, would the chair be animated and the characters root bone is just attached to it while they have a sit animation? I’m curious how this is handled.
TLDR: Does a weapon have its own animation on top of the character having their own reload animation for that specific gun? Are they played at the same time?

President Trump on Tuesday granted a pardon to Ross Ulbricht, the creator of the Silk Road drug marketplace and a cult hero in the cryptocurrency and libertarian worlds.
In doing so, Mr. Trump fulfilled a promise that he made repeatedly on the campaign trail as he courted political contributions from the crypto industry, which spent more than $100 million to influence the outcome of the election. A Bitcoin pioneer, Mr. Ulbricht, 40, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in 2015, after he was convicted on charges that included distributing narcotics on the internet.
“I just called the mother of Ross William Ulbright to let her know,” Mr. Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, misspelling Mr. Ulbricht’s name and making a reference to federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York. “The scum that worked to convict him were some of the same lunatics who were involved in the modern day weaponization of government against me.”
In its nearly three years of existence, Silk Road, which operated in a shady corner of the internet known as the dark web, became an international drug marketplace, facilitating more than 1.5 million transactions, including sales of heroin, cocaine and other illicit substances. (The site generated over $200 million in revenue, according to authorities.) In court, prosecutors claimed that Mr. Ulbricht had also solicited the murders of people whom he considered threats — but acknowledged there was no evidence that the killings took place.
Despite his crimes, Mr. Ulbricht has remained popular with crypto enthusiasts because Silk Road was one of the first venues where people used Bitcoin to buy and sell goods. For years, his supporters have argued that his sentence was overly punitive and adopted the slogan “Free Ross” online and at industry gatherings.
“It’s hard to argue that Ross Ulbricht wasn’t the most successful and influential entrepreneur of the early Bitcoin era,” said Pete Rizzo, an editor at the news publication Bitcoin Magazine. “This is the industry banding together and saying, ‘We’re going to reclaim our own.’”
Mr. Ulbrich’s pardon was eagerly anticipated by crypto enthusiasts. On Monday, after Mr. Trump granted clemency to nearly 1,600 people charged in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, Elon Musk, one of the president’s biggest supporters, responded to a concerned post on X, writing that “Ross will be freed too.”
Mr. Ulbricht, who grew up in Austin, Texas, was arrested in 2013, after the F.B.I. tracked him down at a library in San Francisco. At his sentencing in Federal District Court in Manhattan two years later, a judge called Mr. Ulbricht “the kingpin of a worldwide digital drug-trafficking enterprise” and said that his actions were “terribly destructive to our social fabric.”
At least six deaths were attributable to drugs bought on Silk Road, prosecutors said. Addressing the court, the father of one of the people who died said that “all Ross Ulbricht cared about was his growing pile of Bitcoins.”
But the life sentence struck many observers as harsh. In 2017, the federal appeals court for the Second Circuit, in affirming Mr. Ulbricht’s conviction, acknowledged the severe nature of the punishment.
“Although we might not have imposed the same sentence ourselves in the first instance,” the court said, “on the facts of this case a life sentence was within the range of permissible decisions that the district court could have reached.”
Mr. Ulbricht has been serving his sentence at a federal prison in Tucson, Ariz. Supporters in the crypto industry, in calling for his release, have noted that he was convicted of a nonviolent crime and was never tried on prosecutors’ most explosive allegation that he paid to have people killed. At a Bitcoin conference in Miami in 2021, Mr. Ulbricht’s supporters played a recording of him speaking from prison.
“I had so many big dreams for Bitcoin,” he said.
Last year, Mr. Trump embraced Mr. Ulbricht’s cause on the campaign trail, first in a speech at a libertarian event and later at an annual Bitcoin conference in Nashville. He doubled down on social media, posting the hashtag #FreeRossDayOne on Truth Social, the site he owns.
After the election, a message from Mr. Ulbricht posted on X said he had “immense gratitude to everyone who voted for President Trump on my behalf.”
“I can finally see the light of freedom at the end of the tunnel,” the post said.

First off, she’s absolutely gorgeous. Like, she has that effortlessly regal and striking beauty that makes you believe she could be a warrior princess from Themyscira. Wonder Woman isn’t just about strength; she’s supposed to have an almost mythical presence, and Ilfenesh has that in spades. Second, she’s a damn good actress. She’s got range, screen presence, and that cool, confident energy that would make her a natural fit. Diana isn’t just about fighting—she’s wise, compassionate, and carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. I feel like Ilfenesh could bring a lot of emotional depth to the role while still making the action scenes look badass. Also, she’s kinda tall, which is a big plus. At around 5’11”, she already has that Amazonian stature, so she wouldn’t look out of place towering over bad guys or leading an army of warrior women. The only "drawback" (if you even wanna call it that) is that she’s on the skinnier side compared to the traditionally more muscular Wonder Woman look. But honestly, that’s an easy fix—plenty of actors bulk up for superhero roles, and with the right training, she could absolutely add some muscle and look the part even more. Long story short, Ilfenesh Hadera as Wonder Woman? Huge yes. She’s got the looks, the acting chops, and the height. Give her a solid training regimen, and she’d absolutely crush it.  | Hi TTers! I am now 12wpo, wow that was fast! To refresh your memory, I had a standard TT with MR, no lipo. “Drainless suturing method with a drain” technique. My 1 drain was removed at 1wpo. My DR was 4 fingers wide and is quite obvious in my before photos. Recovery was easy and smooth. I had Exparel. Wore compression garment provided by my surgeon for 4 weeks, experimented with shapewear for about another week, then nothing since. No scar tape or gel yet - I’m a busy mom and just can’t be bothered since I’m healing so well anyway. But I’ve bought some and might try it eventually. I’m completely healed and feel like I never had surgery (well, I feel BETTER than pre-op, that was the whole point of having surgery!). My only lingering reminders of surgery are a mild numb strip down the center of my abdomen that is becoming less by the day (sensation is coming back, especially in the last 2 weeks!) and of course the scar but I am very pleased with how it’s healing. Meeting with a trainer next week to get back into weightlifting! Have been walking on treadmill since 2wpo. Here are some new photos for you - before vs. now at 12wpo as well as morning vs. night at 12wpo. I believe that most of the “swelling” in the night picture is mostly just normal nighttime bloating that I always experienced pre-op and not true surgical swelling so I’m not expecting that to stop any time soon and it doesn’t bother me. In fact, I used to “swell” even more at night pre-op than now! I feel like I’m ready to “graduate” from this group but I enjoy supporting you all on your journeys so I’ll probably stick around! I’m finding myself strangely nostalgic for the early days of recovery. Like many of you, I was very anxious going into surgery and I’m so thrilled that I did it!
