I don’t wanna grind anymore, it’s so demotivating honestly. I also keep seeing people with insane pulls that rarely play the game and it makes me feel like I get punished for playing the game. It’s absolutely incredible to me that we continue to get shit rewards when we’re investing hours and days to hopefully improve our teams. 2025.01.31 01:10 uppr_dckr Changing Resistance/Cardio Days Everywhere or Just My Gym?
My F45 studio just announced they’re switching to a new schedule: MWF will be resistance, and Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday will be hybrid/cardio.
I’m kind of bummed about this because I mainly go for the resistance days. I’m on the heavier side (6’0”, 260 lbs) and have some joint issues that make a lot of the cardio-focused movements tough—sometimes painful, sometimes just a little embarrassing to attempt in a group setting. The new schedule doesn’t really line up with my work availability, so I’m worried I might have to cancel, which sucks because I really do love the workouts.
I plan to talk to my studio manager to see if there’s any flexibility, but I was wondering—is this an F45-wide change, or is it just my location mixing things up? Anyone else’s studio doing this?
Would love to hear what others think!

The world threw itself at him. It wasn’t unfair— the world pounced on anyone naïve enough to ask for their own birth.
His tender childhood, the most sacred time for a being like him, was wasted learning what some suited elders deemed appropriate. Five, six, or more hours a day spent absorbing the basics of this world—counting, adding, and strangely, never learning to laugh.
They didn’t teach him to laugh, to love, to cry, to imagine, or to suffer. They took his childhood and used it to mold him into just another cog in the machine. They played with him, believing themselves to be gods.
But he grew tired—not, unfortunately, when his flesh was still tender, but when he had already matured enough not to depend on two tutors who, in their pursuit of his greater good, had unwittingly destroyed his life. It wasn’t their fault. It wasn’t the fault of his mechanics, whom he was expected to worship as demi-gods. No.
It wasn’t really anyone’s fault, and yet, it was everyone’s.
He had no choice but to move forward—no real choice, at least. He had to pay bills, compensate his girlfriend, progress at work, enjoy himself, reach maximum productivity, fulfill his role in that twisted mechanism that suffocated him.
And so, there he was—on that rooftop, 45 years old, a bottle of cheap whiskey in his hand. His throat burned as he watched the soft lights of hundreds of cars passing beneath his feet.
Damn. Had the infernal noise of tires against asphalt always been this grating? He wondered as he took another sip from the bottle.
Tomorrow was his birthday—he would turn 46, a respectable age, halfway through the average lifespan in that wretched country.
He had some modest health issues, a wife, two children, and a stable job where he would soon be promoted to a position that would finally let him leave that disgusting working-class neighborhood behind. He even had a loan pre-approved with the bank…
He hated it all.
He looked down once more. Everything was just colorful lights in that central street where his office stood—an ideal location for attracting more clients.
He made out a young couple in the crowd. They were holding hands. The boy dragged his feet reluctantly, led by the girl’s enthusiastic pace.
He smiled. He had lived that, too, many years ago. Not with Briseida, of course—she was too uptight to go out in public.
He sighed again, thinking of Briseida.
Too uptight to go out for a meal with him. I don’t have time, she had repeated more than once.
But she did have time to fuck her boss. In their bed. The same bed where they had conceived two children.
After seeing them, he said nothing. He simply closed the door, sighed—as he always did—and walked away to his office.
And now here he was, staring into the void with a Glock in his pocket.
For a second, he almost thought he saw his younger self beside him. He wasn’t smiling. And he knew why.
At the very least, let’s give them a show, he thought, glancing once more at the young couple, now moving further away from the building.
Without further hesitation, he left a brief note stuck to a loose slab on the rooftop.
He looked down one last time. How beautiful the city's light seemed to him now…
At 22:22 on an ordinary Thursday night, another death was logged on a website.
However he time was wrong. He had pulled the trigger at exactly 22:21. No one would ever know.

2025.01.31 01:10 Acceptable-Wash-7675 Small ships, medium ships, large ships.
I just recently looked at the stats of fully upgraded small ships and compared them to fully upgraded medium ships I was surprised of how close they were.
I know small ships were buffed to make them more effective against medium ships. Which was definitely needed it made my bedar useful again. But I think that the strength in smaller ships should also focus on acceleration and. maneuverability. So hearing about the river rat perk I thought it was perfect for a small ships. But the reality is, it's kind of useless. When you're in a river, you typically go on one out of two directions and if you're in a small ship, you're gonna take a huge Debuff while turning into the wind which completely negates the river rat perk because your acceleration and maneuver speed means nothing if you forced to go 9 knot. Every medium size ship in the game can outpace you without trimming.
River rat should just negate the negative into the wind debuff completely while in rivers. If my small ships literally takes damage just by being in the open sea I should at least be able to out pace medium ships in my domain. If smaller ships have better acceleration and maneuvering speed along with being an overall smaller target they wouldn't need nearly as much health and brace strength as their medium ships counterparts.
The strengths of every size shape should be
Small ships- pros- fastest acceleration and maneuverability, smaller hitbox Cons- less hull health, brace strength, less broadside cannons ports.
Medium ships- pro- fastest top speed, standard health, acceleration and brace strength Cons- none jack of all trades master of none (besides top speed)
Large ships pros- should be a literal floating fortress, most gun ports, highest hull health and brace strength medium top speed cons- slowest maneuverability and acceleration, largest hitbox, inability to traverse rivers.
If they make large ships with close to the same stats as medium and small ship I don't know how large ships with bigger hitboxes will work in PvP.
things I want to see with large ships
Dhow deployment, change out the boarding grappling hook with a broadside harpoons for easier boarding. If I'm in a larger ship and I manage to catch up to you it should be easier for me to board you.
I have zero idea how they'll balance these large ships seems like an impossible task to try to appease everybody. But good luck

Started playing DBD in April of last year and fell in love with it. It's always been a bit frustrating but I enjoyed learning all the ins and outs of the game and mostly enjoyed my time with it. Took a little break over the holidays and just started getting back in. But every time I load up the games are beyond bad. Chalked it up to just bad luck and ill try again another day. Had some time so figured Id pick it up tonight since the new tome is out.....
WTF. I played 10 games as survivor until I was like..."nah F this". 4!! of them i was left on hook by teammates. 3 times tunneled out immediately and the remaining 3 everyone was slugged and I sat there waiting to bleed out. Has something happened recently that has changed the game? Ive been frustrated with the game before but tonight was insane.
