This week I’ve thought a lot about you. Ive become more aware of my catastrophic thinking patterns, and see how at times, I may inadvertently self-sabotage.
Did I do this with us?
It saddens me to think that maybe I was wrong in some of my thinking. However, as I’m writing this, I’m recalling the things you did that made me doubt our love.
For example, you stalking that one girl at the bar that you hit on before … and bravely telling me … your then wife … then eyeing her the whole night.
That was an awful experience and I never want to be with any man who’ll put me through that.
All the times at the gym when you’d smile across the room at women … I was your then wife, was right next to you.
The times when you started trying to get to know women right in front of my face.
See, I keep trying to somehow think that I was wrong for not trusting you … then I remember all this.
Sigh!
With that said, all of your behaviors could’ve led me to become more hypervigilant.
I just hope you’re on your best behavior with your woman if you have one now.
In two months our baby boy would’ve been one years old and he’s not here. Wish he was here.

I am looking for some insight from the pros/or someone who has been in this position on how to handle a salary/ raise discussion when returning from a long maternity leave (almost 2 years).
A bit of context: I joined this company while I was already pregnant and had only worked there for about 6 months. Everyone was very understanding and seem happy to have me back soon. This was a mid-senior Project manager role in a small company (about 50-60 staff).
The role I will be returning to is NOT the one I had when I joined ( so the salary I get is based on the old role as a project manager) but this role will be more in a strategy/client-facing vs internal like my old one. Industry salaries for both roles are higher than what I negotiated when I joined but we settled on more vacation and some minor perks.
A part of me feels that I should just leave it until I really understand the full scope of my new position. But on the other hand, /I would like to have this discussion sooner than later. Maybe I should start off by asking if there has bee an cost of living increase all around?

2025.01.31 01:00 Langbardr The Real Reason Why Nobody Plays Tanks
Most people don't like to play the role of tank. That's it.
Always have been, always will be, in any game with the tank role.
Why people doesn't like to tank? They don't want to be in front, they don't want to lead anyone.
Also people like simplicity and explicit tasks. Tanking is the most abstract role, you can't summarize like Damage=kill people, Support=fill the bars. Tanking is putting pressure, drawing attention, protecting mates, choosing where/when to go, etc. Things that can't be measured, like damage done or healing which people like to compare.
If you know a genius trick that makes tanking a popular choice then please tell the devs or make games. That discussion have been on every forums/chats of multiplayer games since they exists, people trying to figure why is there a never-ending shortage of tanks, writing wall of texts of arguments and making theories, but I believe the answer just lies in the human nature.
Now, the problem is with hero-shooters like Rivals and Overwatch is that they encourage 2 tanks for 4 players. That's just too much. In other games finding tanks is less a problem because you need less tanks for a number of players. In a MMORPG party you have often 1 tank for 4 players, for a raid group you need only 2 tanks for 8 up to 18 players most of the time. In MOBA only 1 tank or bruiser is enough for 4 players.
That's why 2-2-2 is not viable in the long term, you can't demand the same amount of tanks as for the two other roles while the amount of players willing to tank is way WAY less than the players willing to play support or damage. That's why Overwatch 2 choose the 5v5 route and why they can't bring back the 6v6 role queue.
I don't believe there is any solution to it, we just need to acknowledge that and stop designing games for the 2-2-2 ratio.

In the first game, there are mirrors all around that can be interacted with using the gameboy horror. It teleports you back to the first room. Was there any explanation of this whatsoever? I can't seem to remember the game ever telling you that this was possible, why it was possible, or what the crazy animation was all about. It just worked and I never questioned it until now.

The smell almost reminds me of nail polish. It's a strong, not really unpleasant, chemical smell. It's coming out of the cap and barrel of the pen and I'm wondering if it's uncured/fuming resin?
I haven't experienced smelling raw/uncured resin before but I noticed it after uncapping and immediately writing with my face close to the pen and paper.

I have found a method that will allow you to hit a PR on any lift you’re attempting, every time you go for one. Now, this method has NOT been patched yet so me posting this could cause the devs to release an update, but hopefully not.
The key is to ask the hottest girl in the gym to spot you. Just the other day, I hit a bench PR because I asked some clone of prime Pamela Anderson to spot me. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping more than having a girl that probably would have made fun of you in high school trying to spot you, as you attempt a weight that will indefinitely kill you if you fail.
Don’t ask some 25% body fat but “I’m on TRT bro” guy, or the Indian guy in a polo shirt who hasn’t showered in a week to spot you, ask the girl who you stare at for way too long in between sets that you’re too afraid to talk to. Even if she weighs 1/3 of what you’re about to lift, I guarantee the adrenaline from 1. going up and speaking to her and 2. actually having her spot you (if she says yes) will make that weight feel like a feather.
That, combined with the $45 pre-workout that’s making your cock itch, there’s no way you fail your PR attempt.
And if you somehow find the courage in your body dysmorphia riddled brain to ask her to spot you and she says no, well then ask the hottest guy at your gym. Good luck.

So I'm having trouble starting the autophage quest line, I've completed the Artemis quest line, I've found the echo locator and have also cleared a dissonant camp, and I even have an extra echo locator in my inventory and I keep warping and still no message to start the quest, what am I missing? I'm looking forward to checking out the new update but I've read that you have to complete the Autophage quest line to have access to the purple star systems.
