Note: By giant robot, i mean a humanoid bipedal robot over 3m tall at least. Think Tetsujin 28, Giant Robo, AV-98 Ingram (Patlabor), RX-78 (Gundam). Wether controlled externally or piloted from inside would also be an interesting debate.
Giant robots are inherently an impractical idea. Most of the jobs a giant robot would do are already done by tanks, and tanks don't need to crawl to hide from danger, they have a lower silhouette.
Giant robots are useful in their versatility, in military situations they can destroy buildings, fortifications, even cities, using their arms and legs, without wasting ammo that can be used when it is more needed, and lowering overall burdens on industry and logistics.
On industry and constructions, giant robots are not specialized, and can do multiple roles when adequately trained or controlled, so they can be switched around the production line instead of having to stop it when a specialized robot breaks down.
Is it worth developing giant robots for any tech company today? What are the key chokepoints to a future where giant robots are common?

Getting straight to it: Karen needs to stop behaving like a victim. She WAS driving drunk and she COULD HAVE killed others (had anyone been around on the road at the time) due to her recklessness, selfishness and irresponsibility. The entitlement is through the roof with her!
1) She plays victim even though she could've victimized others. 2) She doesn't think she has a problem even though she's been through a similar moment in the past. Not admitting a problem makes the issue worse. 3) She had the cringe audacity to USE her deceased parents by saying she's so distraught over their deaths that she wasn't thinking clearly. No, Karen. You did what you did because YOU WERE DRIVING DRUNK. I think it's awful that she put her deceased parents into her lie and as a way to avoid total accountability. 4) The other ladies were right to tell her she was wrong, that she endangered others, that she has a problem and that she needs to take responsibility for it (I can't stand Mia and I will gotta say she was right). Despite that they said Karen still takes no accountability and now acts like they're attacking or bashing her! HUH!? So no, accountability and also you don't like your friends to be honest with you. Gotcha. 5) She just LOVED her daughter telling her that any friend who didn't support her is not a friend. Firstly, the daughter is dumb to coddle her Mom. Just because she's your Mom doesn't mean you need to play into her hands so she can "feel" better. You can tell her the truth while still being respectful about it. Like, "Mom, what you did was dangerous. You've done this before, but I know you can stop. I know you're really a good person, you just did a bad thing. I'm here for you to help you through this. But we gotta get you help." Something like that. One can still be supportive while being honest.
I guess entitlement really is a mental drug for many people. I remember I disliked Karen at the start of RHOP. I thought she was full of herself (she was). But then she became more likeable after her parents passed on (it's just too bad it took her parents passing away for her to look into herself about her negatives) and she became somewhat more warm, advisory, apologetic, empathetic and even more humble. But then this happened and since then she's going right back to being a jerk, basically. Being a jerk never really left her. She just put aside when she wanted to be a better person. But that didn't seem to last too long.

I just wanted to say how sad it makes me to see so much division, name calling and politics in the Minnesota sub the last week or so. I realize that Reddit is largely a very left leaning platform, but in Minnesota 1.6 million voted Democratic, 1.5 million voted Republican- nearly an even divide. It’s too bad to see so many want to continue down the path of polarization, rather than to respect each others differences.

The bottom row of icons. The app window selector, the home and the return icon. Also, minor annoyance, but having to swipe left to close out all apps. I miss just hitting the "close all" at the bottom.
Gonna try to get used to swiping and whatnot, but is there anything I can download that mimicks the Galaxy UI in case I never get used to it?

beginner betta keeper here. I am currently cycling a tank and do not currently have a betta, only a tank. I’ve noticed as i was refilling some of the water cause the water levels were low, lots of debris flys around. it’s a bit concerning and i’m wondering if this is normal. there is some algae on the rocks which i’ve been trying to clean with a gravel vac but im not sure how. (advice extremely appreciated.)
tank is 5gal. i plan on upgrading when i can.

I have been experiencing some rough idle and shaking in my 2016 VW Tiguan 2.0 tsi. Was told about 5 months ago that it was my timing chain by a friend of my brothers, but could I last 5 months on a loose or bad chain? I did research and saw it could be plugs or coils so I just replaced both, and still same problem. Could it be the MAF sensor? O2 sensor? This car has 167k on it and if it really is the chain then I’m not sure I wanna put that kind of money into it knowing it’s on its last leg. Any advice would help or if someone had/has a similar problem to me
