2025.01.31 02:01 Realistic_Positive76 Canon M100 Lens Suggestions?
Hello. I've had a Canon M100 since 2018, so about 7 years now. I got it as a Christmas gift from my mom but because I didn't really have a use for it, I barely use it, and so I only have the base 15-45mm lens.
Recently though, I started going to events like festivals and music shows where I would like to use a camera to take photos of the artists instead of just using my regular phone. However, the 45mm zoom isn't cutting it. I need a lens that's capable of zooming more at times.
May I ask if you guys can help me out with what lens should I get for my M100? and how I should set up my camera for photography for events like those?
I know there's the EF-M 55-200mm lens that's built exactly for EOS M cameras, but I would like advice in case there are lenses that would be better, even those which need adapters. Budget wise, I previously looked at the prices for EF-M 55-200mm (second hand marker) and would like to have it around that same price if not cheaper. I'm not looking to buy brand new lenses, would just explore the second hand market.
I'm 100% a noob on this, and I would just want to start learning. 😅

 | My 2014 ford fusion, will start up, run, I'll turn off the ignition, come back 20 minutes later and it will stall two minutes after I start the ignition. After multiple stalling it will start running and be fine when I turn the car off. If it sits off for several hours it will start fine. And the same thing will happen again. It started off doing within 48 hours of getting new gas. Now it does it all the time. We have replaced the spark plugs, high pressure fuel pump, fuel line, and CO2 sensor. So, I'm graduating with a degree in Writing, after switching from Equine Management (My internship went very poorly). As you can see, I follow my passions, and I rarely make practical decisions. Any survival tips from more experienced writing or liberal arts majors? I'd ideally like to work in publishing, journalism, or copy editing, but realize that is hard to break into. I could get my Masters, although I'm unsure of whether to get a MFA or an MBA (decent amount of business classes), and I don't have a ton of money. I'm willing to do poorly paid work for experience. I suppose what I'm asking for is, how bad is it right now, and can I survive, and any advice in general?

I recently submitted a claim for GERD and IBS. For both claims, I provided a diagnosis, nexus, and DBQ. I also provided a recent endoscopy report for my GERD.
The VA started working on my claim within 3 days and moved me to step 6 of 8 (awardment letter). Today I received an email from VES for an ACE exam (no physical exam or Telehealth).
Had anyone had a similar experience? Was your outcome favorable?

At the end of last month a new team was formed at my company, to handle one specific customer story that's high value. The story involves multiple existing services/product flows, but is making them more amenable to this specific customer story. My team doesn't own a particular service, we are all working on existing teams' services and adding changes specific to this story.
My task is for let's say service A. I'm the only person on my team working on service A. I've been through the code, but the readme is brief and incorrect (followed the commands to set it up and it didn't work). There is a design doc but it's massive, and after stumbling through it I didn't have a better idea of how to accomplish my task.
Only one or two people on my team have surface-level knowledge of service A, but neither of them were actually part of team A or worked on it for long. I messaged people on service A asking for help or pointers but they didn't respond.
I feel like if I were a member of team A, I'd have more help and be in a better place to work on it. But at the same time, everyone else on my team (more relevant experience than me in this domain) is treating this as matter of fact. How common is it for multiple teams to touch different services like this?

Back again with another weight loss question! I’m wondering what your experience was with how quickly weight came off? Did you purposely go as fast as you could or did you take it easy? Did you find that your weight fluctuated with water weight and/or inflammation? Did progress ebb and flow? Did you need to increase dose to increase loss?
Since I took my first dose, I’ve found it pretty easy to eat fairly little and was pleasantly surprised when I saw that I’d dropped six pounds in five days, but there must’ve been significant water weight or inflammation happening because I stepped back on the scale today and I’d shot back up three pounds (despite not really eating much).
Trying not to be discouraged and trust the process. Today, instead of sugar I fairly effortlessly reached for a small portion of lean protein and veggies, which is crazy for me! I mean, if I’m making these changes the weight loss has to follow, right? I’m being absurd to trip about it a week in, right?
But still, I’m curious and I’d love to hear your experiences.

I've seen plenty of people here telling young folks to apply for the job in person, ask for the manager, and introduce yourself. Since I've already tried the online applications and got nothing out of it, I wanted to try something different. For context, I'm looking for a tutoring position and have a year's worth of experience.
Today I got up in the morning, went up on Indeed, and looked up applications that were recently posted (2-3 days). I found 5 different applications from 5 different companies. After applying to each one of them on Indeed (or the company website if they had one), I drove to their office to talk to the manager. Here are the results:
4/5 of those companies did not have an office. Among them, only 1 of them was willing to talk about the position on the phone. And the one manager who did pick up, sounded so uninterested about my inquiries; as if I was wasting her time. Why would a hiring manager treat a candidate like that, especially when they check off all the boxes and show initiative to fill in an 'urgent' need at your business? I don't get it, how does this make any business sense? If you weren't that interested in filling this role with someone who checks off all the boxes, then I don't think you're 'urgently' hiring.
That one company that did have an office, I walked in and asked for the manager. The manager said she was busy (which is fair, this was unplanned), so I asked her if I could come back when she's less busy. Again, just told me to leave. This is coming from somebody who just posted on their website that they are in urgent need of Math & Science tutors. What kind of business model is this? You can't spend 5 minutes with somebody to answer a few questions about the role (actual questions, not an impromptu sales pitch) to someone who meets all your listed requirements? What is going on?
