2025.01.31 02:21 BananaBerries0 My Wife Was SA'ed by a Resident Today
As the title says, my(21M) Wife(21F) was sexually assaulted by a "mentally unwell" resident this evening. She's currently a shower aid/N.A. or something like that, and about a week away from getting her CNA certificate through the nursing home she's working at.
I won't go into too much detail, only what I know right now. In short, while she and a coworker were cleaning this guy, he had soiled himself and was using his own waste to jerk himself off. He was very physically violent, and was screaming slurs and swears at the top of his lungs. He was saying stuff like "I could show you bitches what good dick feels like" and "I'm going to fuck you bitches up against the shower wall." He was rubbing himself on both my wife and her coworker. He ended up grabbing her head and forcing it towards his penis, though, she thankfully was able to resist and call for someone to restrain him. Yes, she and about a dozen others have reported this and gotten it written down. As far as I know, the man proceeded to claim he was going to kill himself, so now he's at some hospital.
The only thing I can ask is, what is her next move? She has no idea if this man is going to be brought back to the nursing home, nor if she's going to have to continue to deal with him. She has a meeting scheduled with her DoN tomorrow. Is it worth filing a police report? Will she get fired if she refuses to care for this resident? Note that this guy has supposedly had MULTIPLE issues with making sexually inappropriate comments towards female aids. He's also been physically violent before. She cried in my arms saying she didn't want to work with this man again, but she's afraid they'll make her or threaten to fire her.
For those worried, my wife is/will be okay. Or, at least as okay as she can be for now. She's strong and beautiful. As I type this, she's singing in the shower. She was very shaken when she got home, and people have been checking up on her at work all day, but she will be okay.
Thank you for reading, sorry for the mess of words above. I just don't know what to do in this situation other than hold her and tell her it'll all be okay.

Really just a vent, but…bought a new home last January. Cabling was a complete mess with old wiring mixed in with newer wiring from a recent (2021-ish) remodel and 2 main distribution points. Electrician wrote nonsense on the cables that were wired, let most others unlabeled so it’s been a lot of running around the house testing.
Amongst all the other goings on in life I have been able to clean it all up quite a bit but I’ve now got my most infuriating moment, a cable that can’t easil be re-run and I can’t find the other end.
It’s a Cat5e from a box at the front gate (for and intercom or doorbell plus electric strike gate door). Logic tells me it should be either 1) where the wiring for the lock comes in at distro 1, or 2) where the label wired “Int Uplink” is at district point 2. I assume that means intercom because a lot of the old alarm wires are here..
Alas none of the distro 1 cables check out. There’s one matching cable in distro 2 and it’s the only one I can find that tests for a similar length but it’s not it and it shows a short on wires 3 & 8. Great.
So where do these two cables come from/go?!?! Part of me refuses to believe these are two different cables.
There’s also about 6000 coax cables all over the place. Never seen so many.
