What is the "Stick"? The "Stick" is no longer a tool of enforcement or is it a badge of popularity. It’s a symbol of recognition for community leaders who naturally guide by example and contribute positively to our shared space.
A Journey to Forest Guide We’re proud to announce that our current Community Moderation team will be the first to carry the "Stick" in-game as Forest Guides. While they are no longer moderators, they are honored as role models and leaders within the community.
In Discord, we’re introducing a new role: Forest Guides. These are community members recognized for their positive contributions. This is not a role you can ask for, but one that’s earned through natural, consistent actions that uplift our community.
How Does It Work?
- 🏅 Positive Recognition: The "Stick" is awarded to players who embody the best of our community values.
- 🤝 Not a Popularity Contest: Selection is based on actions, not status - there’s no application process, so just focus on enjoying the game and helping others!
- 👀 Discreet Moderation: In game Moderators no longer carry "Sticks" or stand out in-game. They work behind the scenes to support and guide, blending seamlessly into the community.
🌟 In-Game: Mentoring new players, organizing fun events, and spreading positivity. 💬 Online: Welcoming newcomers, sharing helpful content, helping with support issues, and fostering a respectful environment.
What It’s Not Being a Forest Guide isn’t about self-promotion, token gestures, or creating issues to solve. The "Stick" celebrates genuine contributions - not fame, clicks, or popularity.
Why This Matters The "Stick" represents our collective commitment to a thriving, positive community where everyone can feel welcome and valued. Let’s celebrate the Forest Guides among us who make this possible! We want more "Sticks" in-game. This opens up our ability to recognize more people in game and we are introducing new ways for us to identify people who make a positive impact everyday.

What’s Happening with Discord Moderation? We are introducing a new team of paid moderators who are excited to provide 24/7 moderation and support. This team will allow us to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring our community thrives at all hours.
This is not a demotion to our Volunteer Mods that have been absolutely amazing and who in their new role will still have as much impact and influence in the future of Gorilla Tags community. TLDR: Sticks are no longer moderators in Gorilla Tag or the Discord. They’re pretty much guides with a cool cosmetic. Moderation is now controlled by a team on Discord 24/7 and in game.

How do you make peace with always losing, or always doing a bad job? I always question if I'm working hard enough, or smart enough, or maybe I'm too hard on myself.
I just feel like I'm always two or three steps behind everyone else. That they see things far more clearly than I do. Often times, I have the lingering feeling that something isn't going to work out. It's almost like I self-sabotage or make things more complicated than they need to be.

 | So I downloaded this app the other day and made my first ever order at a sushi place. I was very pleased (I was expecting a minimum of two rolls, as that is what most places go for closing specials at that price) and even tasted new things I’ve never tried before (kimchi, purple rice and sweet potato tempura)! The rice was a bit hard but that was to be expected. I was not a fan of spicy kimchi roll but everything else was delicious (my favourites were the sweet potato tempura, grilled salmon and purple rice). Hello Everyone! So I recently purchased these two color ways in the same size and I noticed a slight difference in size and thickness in each. The cream multi plaid seems to be longer on the sleeves and looser on the cuffs as well as a bit thinner while the red ombre black plaid is a bit puffiethicker as well as a bit shorter on the sleeves and more snugged on the cuffs. I was just wondering whether that's normal or is it a possible defect? Thank you!

Did you know that CPVC will fail if touched by caulk or a Ethernet cable?
Data cables, painters caulk, acoustical caulk, even all fire caulk but one will cause plasticizers to leach into the pipe causing it to become bridle and crack leading to pin hole leaks.
All of the high rises in my city are gutting their sprinkler lines and replacing them with steel after multi million dollar lawsuits on the GC.
Stop using CPVC. Refuse to bid it. Please for the love of every person after you finish. The million dollar rebuild is not worth the 100k savings.

Hi!
I have 5 small tanks that I would like to aquascape. They have been mostly empty, a couple have had bettas and each tank has at least a couple live plants.
There are two 5 gallon longs, and three 3 gallon cubes.
The cubes have sponge filters that take up a lot of space in the tank and just look ugly and clunky.
The longs have HOB filters, one of which came with one of the tanks as part of a complete kit, but they also look too big and bulky, and have really powerful flows that push the substrate and plants around, even on the lower setting.
I just think the main issue is that these filters are so big. What small, quiet, gentle filters would you recommend for small tanks like these?
I think making sure I have the proper set up, and that the equipment itself doesn’t look ugly, is the first step towards making these tanks look more beautiful!
