2025.01.31 04:59 Key-Alfalfa-4376 What is the cheapest VMware subscription package for small business that includes vMotion?
We currently own and run vSphere Essentials 7 across two ESXi hosts (1 socket each). We want to introduce vMotion to help simplify introducing a third host (also 1 socket), so we tried to buy Essentials+. I was told it has been discontinued, and vSphere Standard cannot be purchased either.
I asked a licensing advisor at Dicker Data (AUS) what we should buy, and after a long wait, she sent an email saying, “I can confirm Enterprise Plus does include vMotion.”
Is this right?! Do we really need to jump from Essentials to Enterprise Plus simply to get vMotion?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It felt weird that the Greek Interpreter's sister straight up admitted to Holmes and Watson that she'd still stay loyal to Latimer despite knowing what they did to her brother. In the book, she took revenge on the kidnappers after learning about the full extent of their crimes. It felt like the Granada show went out of its way to portray the sister as absolutely reprehensible. The way Brett's Holmes looked on at her at the end with utter disgust and hate.

To give you guys a little context on the resources that I'm using: I have been doing my practice for CR and RC from LSAT, OG and Verbal review as major sources i have gone through the Powerscore CR bible and some of the GMAT Ninja CR videos.
Now when doing my practice I'm not timing it but majority of it i'm able to mark it right except for RC hard:

I have not been following any particular method when it comes to CR or RC i just plainly read the passages try to grasp as much as possible and move to the questions to mark the ans either by process of elimination or by referring back to the passage. But recently, i gave my GMATCLUB mock in study mode but was being mindful of the timer and that panic/anxiety may have crept in and i could not follow the same approach in my mock. I realized nothing is sticking to my understanding and I'm re-reading the passage which wasted alot of my time.
Coming to the point i want to understand how important is to understand the passage for CR and then to jump to the questions is it possible that i just read the passage with rudimentary understanding of what it says and not actually making notes for that and tackling question or will it serve me well that i start taking notes and then tackle question (for all questions easy and hard to build the habit) or i can continue the same approach that i have been following and just tackle the time pressure ?
For RC i think i need some help or suggestion how you guys are approaching and handling it i'm facing similar issues with RC as well. But here i feel the questions don't generally ask me things from the passage but rather what i have understood from the passage which makes me wonder what exactly is the point of writing it down. For e.g. in most of passages i see it start with some topic x > its details/advantages/usages/criticisms are discusses > the next passage provide either alternate/support to the previous passage/different view point is discussed so I'm able to grasp the flow of the passage but don't necessarily write it down in detail.
I want to understand what changes in my practicing for both CR and RC habit can i bring in to get a more better result at any the difficulty level during my mock/exam

So I'm doing to Trotsky Mexico achievement. Everything goes alright, I join the Axis and took UK out with Germany before US joins. Now I suppose we focus on the USSR together. No. Germany decides to still go to war against the US from Canada, which they took in the peace deal. They got slaughtered and I can't push USSR by myself as Mexico.
I started another game. I puppeted Canada myself hoping they don't take the focus to go to war with US. Initially it went alright. We made it to close to Moscow together. And then Germany declared war on Canada, while Canada was my puppet and we were both in the Axis.
Is Germany now coded to take out everything that is, was or should have been in the Allies now?

2025.01.31 04:59 ryno_shark Convert SHR2 ext4 to Btrfs ... with a 6-drive unit that is already full ... crazy?
Background: I have a DS1618+ built long ago with one SHR2 volume, 6 drives, that is 27.3 TB total capacity (7.3TB, 5.5TB, 7.3TB, 14.6TB, 7.3TB, 7.3TB). It has a single ext4 volume1 with 21.1TB used and 5.7TB free.
I would like to move over to Btrfs, on SHR2, notably to run something in VMM which requires Btrfs.
I've been researching to come up with a strategy.
OPTION 1: My original plan was to buy a 8-drive DS1825+ (when it was released) and setup a new volume of three 20TB+ drives (using the 2 empty additional bays and pulling 1 drive in the SHR2 array). First array would be running in degraded mode (still could lose 1 drive and be ok) until the second 3-drive volume was built with Btrfs. I'd move everything over to the new volume...and then delete the old array and add some additional drives to the Btrfs. However, the DS1825+ has not been released yet. I didn't want to buy a DS1821+
OPTION 2: My other thought was to buy a DX517 (temporarily) and creating a new volume of 3 drives with Btrfs like above on the external DX517. Then shutdown the NAS, swap drives from DX517 into DS1618+ (moving 5 of the 6 drives from DS1618 to DX517), then restarting and again moving stuff to the new Btrfs volume. After moving everything, I'd remove the old volumes, the remove the old drives, and sell the DX517. In a few years, I'd buy the DS1826+ (or whatever year it comes out) and move all the drives over to that.
Thoughts? Seems like there aren't huge gotchas to the above plans, besides being slightly degraded in the SHR2 array during the process.
Before doing all the above I would buy an external 22TB+ HDD and backup the entire system to that...just so I have a complete backup.
