Hi all, I often look for specific examples and can’t find them therefore I’ll give one in hopes it helps the next guy out.
Who Management… Anybody know anything on them? I went through a multi interview process recently and when they offered to sign me, a few things stuck out as odd.
From IMDB showing only a handful of clients with no photos, to not listing all of their agents (including those I met with), I definitely was unsure. So after looking into their website and socials I noticed plenty of typos as well as followers and likes being by seemingly fake profiles. The last alarming piece was they asked for me to get headshots printed (an outdated ask in the industry today) - sure enough after looking into the printing company the packages ranged from $400-$2800 and naturally they recommended the premium option.
I typically hold myself to the standard that no agent or manager should require you to pay anything in order to sign with them or prior to booking a role, but given the professionalism of the interviews, I gave them some grace. Anyways, now going through the contract, I reviewed all the odd things I noticed, and decided to play it safe.
This is mostly to inform people, but also to ask if anyone else has had any sort of experience with them or other “agencies.”

This is my first ticket and I am in need of some advice! I don’t know whether I should mitigate or contest.
I got a speeding ticket in the los Banos area going 94 in a 65. The total came out to be more than $600 since the officer said my tint is barely legal and gave me a citation for that too. In a financial position, I’m undergoing some hardships. I was told that I can write a mitigation letter to the judge asking for a reduction in the fine and no points to be put on my license since that will increase insurance.
I was also told that I have a slim chance to contest the ticket since the officer put the wrong model of my car. However the make and license plate was accurately put.
If I was to write a mitigation letter, this is what I have so far:
I am writing to respectfully request your consideration for a reduction of the fine and the elimination of points being added to my license in relation to the speeding ticket I received on {date}. I fully acknowledge my mistake and take full responsibility for my actions. However, I am hoping that you might consider my financial situation and personal circumstances when reviewing my case.
I am a first-generation college student supporting myself financially. As such, I am facing some financial challenges. The cost of my education, along with my basic expenses, leaves me with little room to cover this fine. Adding points to my license would also increase my insurance rates, placing an additional challenge on me that I simply cannot afford.
This is my first offense, and I deeply regret the incident and understand the importance of adhering to traffic laws. I assure you that this was an isolated mistake, and I have learned from it. I am committed to being a safer and more cautious driver going forward.
Given my financial hardship, I kindly ask for your leniency in reducing the fine and allowing me to avoid having points added to my license. This would significantly help me with my situation without the added stress of financial hardship.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I truly appreciate any leniency you may be able to offer, and I remain fully committed to learning from this experience.

I’m burnt out. I’m in my 3rd year as a therapist but feeling like a CF. I switched settings into what I thought was my dream setting and have never felt more incompetent. My supervisor and principal are severely micromanaging me. I’ve hit my breaking point. I feel like I can’t make any clinical decisions without being doubted. I had my CF in the public schools and got thrown in because of being a COVID class and only having virtual school experience. I loved it, though. Other than the paperwork, I loved my students and helping families as much as possible. I left because it was short-term. I felt terrible that I couldn’t help my students as much as I thought they deserved, so I started with the mod-severe instead of going to another public school. I’ve been in this population ever since and always thought it was my dream, even when I decided to be an SLP at a young age. But I hate it. I like AAC and working with children but miss interacting with them. I feel like I am not in this position. I’m getting comments like “You need to be more animated” and “Think outside the box.” In my CF, I got comments like “You’re my kid's favorite” and “You’re so animated.” Am I wrong for hating the population I thought would be my dream? As much as I hated artic, I do none now and miss it. I miss feeling like my students are making actual progress. I’ve thought about leaving the field entirely because I’m so exhausted, but being an SLP is the only thing I see myself doing. Please send words of encouragement and prayers. I’m struggling.

I’ve been ordering Uber a lot to get to work because my car keeps breaking down. I’ve had the same Uber driver a few times now. He seems like a normal guy and we have great conversation for the entire ride. Today, I was talking about dealing with less-than-stellar drivers. He offered to drive me outside the app for less money than I pay on Uber and gave me his number. It felt odd but I still agreed. My friends are telling me that this isn’t a safe idea and as much as I’d like to have him drive me, I get where they’re coming from. For context, I’m F23 and the driver is M49. Is this a normal thing for an Uber driver to do? Am I an idiot for even considering this?
