Hello dear community, I wanted just to share the situation I have just been through and ask about your opinion. I am not from the US, resident in Denmark, where pits are banned, so today‘s situation came as a total shock.
I am currently on a research fellowship in Newport RI. I went to the gym where I usually go to here, and started my routine. Later on as I went into weightlifting section I saw a pitbull sitting there, not even with a restrain band on its jaw. I am absolutely fine with pets in public spaces, but such a loud and fairly crowded environment as a gym doesn’t seem to me as an ideal place for a big dog, let alone this one.
I fairly freaked out, and asked its owner to put it away. First I got no response. Keeping my distance of some 2 meters, I asked again, a bit panicking, just to hear that it is me who should get away. I went to the gym manager and he explained me that this is a service dog (it had a vest but any truly recognisable big mark on it) and he legally can’t tell these people anything, even if he himself might find this situation not ideal and can relate to my feeling. Apparently, as always, new calendar year, many newcomers to the gym, so he told me he saw it himself for the first time.
Keeping my routine is very important for me, and it is difficult for me to make time for it other than evenings. I feel so disappointed that I might meet these people (of poor culture, as they didn’t even try to explain anything to me) again and will have to leave half through like today.
Is it normal in the US? How to go about such situations in a more culturally sensitive way? I feel really upset about me not recognising the animal as a service dog in the first place, but I am not sure if this fact would help me to feel comfortable around it in a gym environment.
I appreciate your thoughts.

Hey so, a few days ago i posted about my cousin wanting, and how all her Bridesmaid to wear white and red dress, (for card theme) and how i was half right about it being stupid idea. Because my + 1 (male friend i bring too wedding, so i don't get hit on) saw me at are match check and panicked.
He understood and we have been laughing about it. His girlfriend even told me that she couldn't blame him, becauses it would off been to awkward to say no.
Cut today my cousin wanted too see us, so, she knew my friend suit would math her Grooms theme. It was going well until The Groom said he was upset about the plying card theme only haveing 11 options, becauses he had 12 to pick between his dad and brother, haveing good numbers
Then my friend, because he is an idiot. Looks the Groom dead in the eyes and says. "Shame you can't do Chess, that has 12 spots." then point out to him 8 pawns for his friends, the bishop, knight and Rook for his family and the groom can be the king.
This one off line off his has sent my cousin into panic mode, because now she thinks her husband too be doesn't like the theme anymore, and is full on blaming me for inviting my friend.
She's pissed at me and now my mum is pissed at me because my aunt is pissed at her.
Like her boyfriend hasn't event said anything yet. At least talk too him about it, before yelling at me.
Also, worse part is my friends actually really sensitive, so i can't give my cousin his phone number, or tell him. Becauses he will full on go mad from guilt.
So, it's all my problem.

I dont know what happened , i played normal every other time this game , neither lag or anything , today i entered a game of zombies , i ended the game , after in the zombies menu i cant access any settings , it just forces me back to the zombies menu , and when i start i game the game , i can start it , but its like in 5/10 fps and i dont see anything on screen , just the weapon and the zombies all with s*** graphics and i cant move with 20 seconds delay … can someone help me on this ??

Hey guys i’ve used the Hyper x cloud 2 (Kingston version) and the Hyper x cloud alpha. I would have to say that Hyper X Cloud III is a decent headset. The mic quality is good on the ps5 and the sound is quite good but just lacks in bass. The only problem is bass. You can hear clear dialogue in story games and it has great environmental sounds. So if you’re playing games like Witcher, Skyrim Call Of Duty Bo6, Lego games you’ll be pleased. So I recommend these headphones for someone who plays FPS and Story games and other games is well but if you’re into your bass and stuff then go with something else maybe the Hyper x cloud alpha and Hyper x cloud 2 it’s just because I wanted a break from the bass from the other headphones that I mentioned but yeah. If you have questions ask me. This is based on the Ps5 side of things just a disclaimer.

Long story short and as much as it sucks to say, I haven't really experienced much of anything. I'm going to intentionally beat around the bush as to what category that "experience" falls under but I think most people should be able to figure it out lol. In other words (and if you play games), I'm a complete noob when it comes to all things girls. As for why those things haven't happened and why I want that to change.. There's a few reasons, but the main reason why I'm putting such an emphasis on this is because I'm a huge homebody and I dont go out much at all which makes it difficult to meet people. That's where Reddit comes in! The message I'm essentially trying to send is becoming physically and emotionally close with a girl is what I want the most. I want to experience it all; the laughs, excitement, curiosity, intimacy, hanging out, fun. Blame all the Disney movies I watched as a kid for that lol.
Finding someone would be a dream come true, but I'd love to find friends too if that's all you're looking for! Local or international, just let me know if that's what you want instead :) We could end up being really close friends and you'll introduce me to a friend who I end up being with? That may or may not be the plot from a romcom 🤔 So that means I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a relationship! I've obviously never been in one so I'm not exactly sure how to transition to that, haha. I totally wouldn't mind finding out, though :) Also someone to say good morning and night to, too. That would be the best even if it's incredibly cheesy.
Anyway, it could be someone with a lot of experience or someone with no experience like me, or introverted or not introverted, etc. I don't have a preference either way :) But if I were to be reaaally picky: they'd be sweet and down to earth because just cuddling on its own would be all kinds of cool. A bit about me: I'm shy, caring, kind, sweet and am normal in the weight and height categories. I want to say I'm cute in the looks department? 🙈 I'll let you decide that though lol. I think it's super fun learning about people through conversation so I'll leave the following hobbies section blank. Then again, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give a small hint to something I love.. My username should provide clues to that! I Siriusly need to re-watch the movies again. Maybe with someone I meet through r4r?
Alright, I can't hold it in anymore. I pretty much like a little bit of everything. For example, when it comes to music, I go through Backstreet Boys phases to Disney song phases (Moana is awesome and I haven't even seen the movie 🙊) to something like Linkin Park, Paramore or 50 Cent. What I'm trying to say is I like a little bit of everything! So there's a good chance I'll like whatever you like when it comes to hobbies and interests and that means connecting with each other should be relatively natural/seamless. Or maybe that's wishful thinking on my part, haha.
I'm not the best with openers and if you're also in the same boat, then how about this: If you could have any superpower what would it be and how would you use it? Being out of this world smart like Tony Stark is an acceptable super poweanswer, by the way.
Hopefully my first impression is a good one! If anyone is even remotely interested, then just let me know and I'll get back to you asap!
I forgot to mention I’ve been really into kpop over the past week so someone to talk about it would be fun lol.
