 | I bought a Wavebird at a retro store and after playing with it I notice the thumb stick feels a bit mushy, I can't move it as precise as my brand new wired controller while playing games like super monkey ball. I know for sure the thumb stick cap is aftermarket and can cause some mushiness, and I'm definitely going to replace that. But I want to know if the stickbox itself is OEM because if not I will replace it. From what I read the Wavebird uses a T2 stickbox. I’ve been a fan of The Weeknd since 2015 when I started high school (7th grade here). When Dawn FM dropped, I had just started my first full-time job, and now I’m in a much better position. Listening to BBTM always hits me with nostalgia—I can’t believe this era is coming to an end. I got to see him live in Melbourne last year and even flew across the country for it.
His music has helped me through so many rough times, especially After Hours. 2020 was a messed-up year for me with the pandemic and everything, but that album got me through it. Now, I’m stocked up on drinks and more than ready for the album.

Currently using a Forerunner 945 and after almost 5 years looking for an upgrade. I really like the look of the 965 but it seems that we can expect the 975 to be released this year. Very little info online about it so just wondering if people using the 965 could chime in. What I really care about is accurate GPS/HR and decent battery life. Features that dont really matter for me would be stuff like wireless charging or music.

2025.01.31 02:16 PsychonauticResearch Small-Scale LSA extraction
 | This is a small scale sample of a crude LSA extract(still containing some oils from the seeds). I did this relatively quick just to test a hypothesis and I’m sure more time with an NPS would remove most of these plant oils. A small bit of LSA seems to be in the oils as well shown by the dimmer but still clear glow under UV of the oil sample. Not as bright as the primarily powdered sample but still present and the oils themselves are likely not enough to provide as much of the negative side effects compared to raw seeds. Starting material was ~160 morning glory seeds, powdered and dissolved into 91% IPA, shaken in a sealed container every 5-10 minutes for an hour to hour and a half. The seed mush was filtered and the IPA was kept. Initially naptha was added(it’s what I had on hand since I ran out of heptane) but the layers didn’t seperate as expected. I decided to increase the acidity with lemon juice(a common component in CWE and a weak acid so it seemed like a nice and food-safe option). Once the acidity was increased slightly, the layers separated almost immediately. In hindsight, I would probably add a little lemon juice to 91 or 99% IPA for the initial extraction, then I’d have more rapid extraction and I can immediately use a NPS after the filtration. In either case it seemed to not matter too much since it worked. The solvent layer was tossed and the IPA/lemon juice layer was kept. This was then evaporated which took longer thanks to the lemon juice, but the result still was far better than I expected. Samples were used specifically due to LSA being destroyed in light and heat pretty quickly. The extract was done in a dark room(setup like a photo development room), and all was done between 57-61 degrees F, no heat added.
