Hi everyone, any help would be amazing. The last couple month my OCD switched for health worries to contamination/harm OCD. I get thoughts that if I don’t do something that I’m purposely trying to get my loved ones sick. For instance if I put my water bottle down my will say it touches a spec on the table that it’s me trying to get my loved ones sick. It makes it feel so real. Before I could get over contamination because I knew nothing would happen but now I keep getting thoughts that if I don’t wash my hands that it’s me purposely trying to get someone sick and it feels so real.
Any thoughts or help would be amazing!

I ruined my marriage. No I did not cheat.
I had a hysterectomy and went in for my one year check up. I had a bump down there, but was told almost 7 years ago it was ingrown hairs from shaving. Dr never swabbed it then. I went on my merry way never questioning it.
My OB swabbed it even though she didn’t think it was anything and even said it was an ingrown hair. NOPE. HSV2.
I am married with two wonderful kids, so obviously I had to tell my partner.
We haven’t talked much since. We are currently waiting his results.
I’m just heartbroken. I hate myself for all my mistakes. I hate the person who didn’t disclose to me. Everything I have prayed for is about to vanish.

As the title says, this is a DOD job, and the clearance requirement is: position sensitivity 2- noncritical- sensitive (NCS) national security risk (IT level 2). I don't even know what this means, but I assume that the clearance level required for my job is not high.
I submitted SF86 three days ago, and the security specialist contacted me in the past two days to ask me for more infomations and some questions. Then today he emailed me that the review has been completed and sent to the security director for final review... Shouldn't this background check take months? Why is it so fast? And none of the contacts I provided were called to inquire? Does anyone know why this is?
I'm new here, please help me understand what's going on here，Thank you!

This could be false or at least misleading advertising depending on consumer protection laws in your area. If the poster shows a different graphics card (GeForce RTX) which are way more expensive cards than what is actually included (RX 580 D), and there’s no disclaimers this one doesn’t, it could mislead customers into believing you are getting a more powerful GPU than they actually are.
Many consumer protection laws require that advertisements be clear and not misleading. If someone purchases the PC shown expecting an RTX card based on the image, you might have grounds for a complaint, refund, or exchange.
If you’re considering purchasing it, you may want to ask the store for clarification. If they refuse to correct the misleading ad, you could report it to a relevant consumer protection agency.
Not to say the pc is bad just consider clarifying if your store has similar issues/advertisment

Gather around and hear my tale of woe, and misery. This tale involves human feces, and Dave Mathews Band...
Feel free to spread my tale of woe.
I want to preface that the band and its crew had nothing to do with this situation and the roadies were at the mercy of local hands. It just happens to be involving Dave Matthews Band.
Ok! It begins one fine summer morning, and I was a over hire local hand for one of my local concert venues in town. I was on the lighting team, and everything was going swimmingly. The yellowjackets that normally plague us, and disrupt the peace, were at a minimum. The breeze was gentle, and the air was a comfortable temp, a rarity at the time of year that this concert fell upon.
Front of house was being setup, and we achieved this quickly, and efficiently. Things were looking up! The concert gods were smiling upon me. I felt at ease, and no need to sacrifice more to appease them.
But alas! I should have known the clouds of darkness were soon to descend upon us!
The snake needed to be run out to FOH, and the crate sat on the stage. Like a mimic, the crate was not all it seemed.
From the darkness, of the furthest reaches of the stage, the crew member who was guiding us, came bearing cleaning supplies, and a demented look of dismay, and guilt.
The words he uttered next still haunt me to this day...
" The last city we were in, someone fucked up." His gaze grew dark. " Someone had shit in the lawn area, and the locals up there, while coiling it, let it run through the pile of shit."
Those last words, he couldn't have said that!? Who would do such a thing!?
" They put it back it the case, and it was loaded on the truck." He whispered somberly, his eyes looking for some sort of humanity in the news he just spoke to us. " They didn't tell anyone to it was too late."
The crate was loaded deep in the truck, its contents bound for my city.
We hoped maybe it was a fluke, that the crew in the previous city were making a cruel joke!
We donned our PPE and opened the case.
Nothing visible, and our hearts leaped!
We continued the uncoiling, and then it appeared,
Brown shit on the coil. It was smeared on the cable, and in every nook and cranny the coil had.
We groaned and cleaned the cable till nothing remained. Only memories will keep this tale going.
I hope the cities after us appreciated us defeating this feces beast.
We normally with everyone, but they gave us meal tickets as a thank you.
We dined like kings.
Thank you for reaching the end of my tale of woe. Please spread it like the crap on that cable, so that Dave Matthews may be enshrined with another story of human shit.
TLDR- Cable was coiled in previous city through a pile of shit. It was loaded on to the truck without telling anyone. We as the next city, had to clean it off.

so i got into both ucsd and uci for pharmacy school, but i have no idea which school to choose. i know uci is a relatively newer school and has not been completely accredited yet, but they did give me a large recruitment scholarship. i haven't been offered anything as of yet from ucsd (i'm not sure about financial aid from either school yet), but i do already live in san diego and have a great, affordable place to live + most of my support system is here.
i do want to pursue a career in the clinical side of pharmacy and am planning on applying for a residency, just not sure if a school's prestige has a lot of weight in terms of me matching. all in all, just not sure what choice to make considering the pros and cons. any advice or help would be appreciated :')

I’m 18. Just gonna let my head go.
I’m sure at least half of you reading this scoffed when you read the title, then my age, but I only ask you cast aside bias reading.
Writing this is hard as I keep deleting and revising what to say, even reflecting is difficult. Where to begin?
I’ll start by saying I’m in good shape, my diet is extremely strict, I live a good life style. But that’s where the pros end, as most would see it.
I’ve started to realize I don’t really care about my friends in fact I find most of them to be a burden, all I want to do is succeed. I’d be in the 1% for people my age for “revenue” made because I capitalized off lust a while back and haven’t had to work all through high school. My brains flowing now. I realize that any women I talk to really in the long term I’m just trying to get in their pants. I dated a girl last year for a few months and tried to convince myself I loved her, but I realized I used her just to practice charm and see what would make her jealous to apply it to other women. I find myself walking past individuals making a face of revulsion unintentionally.
I can’t read anyone’s mind but there are a few individuals (if you read this far) who likely think I’m just trying to call myself a narcissist because I find it exciting, or cool? No.
There was a point in my life I believed everyone was equal, no man better than another. But that was when I was at the lowest point of my life; when I felt weak
I believe a true narcissist tries to avoid blame and attempts to always be “right.” Though if I’m being honest, I try to do the opposite to build rapport with those around me to become more “likable,” mostly women for obvious reasons i’ve stated already.
If you read this far, feel free to share. I don’t have anyone to impress or reason to lie writing this, I don’t know any of you more so than you guys know me. I question myself as to what i’m really looking for in this post anyway…

2025.01.31 02:36 smithurs Would this be fixed with a fixture replacement?
Ceiling light flickers and eventually turns off for less than a second then back on, flickers again about 8 seconds then back off and back on and so on. FWIW the fixture is pretty old, bulb is new and it’s above a shower. Is this something that would/should be fixed by replacing the fixture? Any help is appreciated.

Basically, I'm a ftm transgender person. I am passing as a man, and very few people I have met since having surgery know that I am trans. I got a passport with the "correct" gender marker of male the day after the election, just in case I would need to leave the country. However, I have yet to go to the DMV to update the marker on my driver's license. I'm worried that if I go, they may take my passport from me for being "wrong" and then (if I try to leave) I would be flagged in some form or another. Would it be safe to try to go, or would it get held up in paperwork? The federal law is pretty clear that I wouldn't be able to put an "M" on the gender marker for a passport anymore, but would Kentucky licenses be under the same law at this moment?
