My wife of 5 years has left me after a year and a half of living together. (I am from UK and it took a long time to immigrate) since she walked out I’ve found out she cheated multiple times throughout the relationship yet she’s telling everyone the reason we split it that she felt she was taking care of me too much and felt she had no life of her own even though I’ve never stopped her from going out with friends, rarely ever asked her to clean or cook (I’ve asked her to make food maybe like 5 times times in the last year and a half). I just have no clue what to do I left my whole life for her and shes just thrown me away.

I LOVE all of the kids i babysit for and they all get excited when I come over. But i cant stop thinking if I should give my families a couple weeks notice and stop babysitting in total because of my mistakes and overall personality.
Ill tell u guys some of my failures and let me know if I am not suitable for childcare.
- Just tonight me and the boy I babysit were messing around in the kitchen after eating dinner. We were dancing and kind of bumping into each other on purpose. I kind of bumped into him way too hard, and he ended up, hitting his head on the countertop, and there was a HUGE bump, he cried for about a minute and seemed fine after but when I told the mother. She seemed very scared and I realized how bad the situation truly could’ve been, he could’ve gotten some sort of concussion or it could’ve hit blood. He could’ve hit himself in the eye, I just should’ve been the one responsible in the situation and told him we can play, but just not in the kitchen. The problem is, I don’t think of those things in the moment, I just feel horrible. I have this horrible feeling of guilt,gnawing at me.
- About a year ago, a boy that I babysit for had staples in his head from an injury that he sustained during vacation. ( not involved with me thank god🙏) But honestly, I was not aware of what Staples really were and I hadn’t seen them and so I just didn’t think to make sure we weren’t messing around or tickling each other or doing anything of the sort, I ended up playing with him in the hallway and tickling him. He jerked biscuits head backwards from laughing, hit his staples on the wall, and there was blood everywhere. I had just turned 18 when this happened and I didn’t even know what to do. I was just completely shocked. I stood there frozen for about two minutes. The younger sister came and helped me. I just I froze and I have nightmares about it to this day. I’m just thinking I could’ve taken some precautions and I didn’t and that whole situation wouldn’t have happened in the poor boy wouldn’t had to deal with that sort of pain.
- I once picked up one of the boys on the wrong day, i felt like something was odd and called the mother while we were driving. the parents told me it was alright and it was just because the schedule was changing a bunch, but honestly im imagining how bad it could of been if I hadn’t called the mother and the other nanny came to pick him up and he just wasn’t there.. like can you imagine the horror,, if you go to pick your son up from school and he is just not there
Just let me know what you guys think if I should quit being a babysitter
I have some more stories, but those are the major ones .

2025.01.31 03:12 atrophied_bat08 I’ve barely slept in 4 days- is there anything I can do?
Hi. I’m 17f 5’6.5 and 105lbs. I take Prozac. I just got out of treatment for anorexia Monday. I discharged to a foster home, which I haven’t been in before, and this is relevant because since I’ve been here I’ve barely slept. I can’t. I’ve been trying and trying but I’ll start to fall asleep and then get this feeling like I’m falling and wake back up, or I’ll fall asleep for maybe 20 minutes and then I wake up sweating and anxious. I feel on edge and I can’t relax.
I’m exhausted. I feel really emotional and I keep crying over little things and making mistakes. I accidentally messed up the dishwasher and filled half the kitchen with bubbles. I forgot which room was mine for a minute. My body hurts and I feel so anxious. I left a message at my doctors office asking if I could talk to her but that’s not going to help tonight and I can’t go another night like this, I’m going to lose it. Like I’m afraid I’m gonna end up falling asleep at school or getting hurt on accident.
Is there anything I can do to make sure I sleep?
