RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU have suspended gender-affirming care for patients under 19 years old in the wake of President Donald Trump’s executive order that cuts federal funding for such care.
The following statement can be found on the Children’s Hospital’s webpage on transgender services as of Thursday, Jan. 30:
"VCU Health and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU have suspended gender-affirming medication and gender-affirming surgical procedures for those under 19 years old in response to clear guidance from the state provided to VCU. We are committed to ensuring that we’re always delivering care in accordance with the law. Appointments will be maintained to discuss specific care options for patients in compliance with the most recent guidance.”
This move would make the Richmond hospital one of several that’s put such care on hold as healthcare facilities consider the impacts of Trump’s order, according to the Associated Press."

 | I got my Strawberry Pac-Man frog (my first frog too) on New Year’s Day. I fed him about 12 meal worms and everything seemed to be alright, then the hunger strike started. I was advised to feed him like every 2-3 days, so when he started to refuse to eat at all for double that time I got scared for my boi and I brought him to the vet. They did an exam and found nothing to be blatantly wrong with my boi (healthy skin, good teeth, nice pink mouth colour, no bowel obstructions, given the all clear). I remember before the vet visit my mom did some research of her own and heard of people having to force feed their frogs at times and to do it with like a credit card, so I did that sparingly for a few days. My mom had gotten in contact with the original location that had the frog (he was shipped from downtown to a closer shop) and got what they’d fed him (I remember when I was there them telling me that he was a good eater, furthering my worries from the hunger strike). Although I can’t remember exactly what he’d been fed, I just remember the frog person saying that it was the equivalent of frog fast food. They apparently had experience with Pac-Man frogs that were picky eaters and said that we should just wait it out because the frog would not let themselves starve. So on about January 12 or 13th I’ve done exactly that. I’ve been monitoring his weight every so often, it hasn’t gone down drastically, although now we’re reaching the end of the month and he’s still not eating. Should I keep waiting? Should I get another appointment or smth? Is my special boy fated to die? Has anyone here learned how to moderate food? Particularly sweets? I just cannot with sweets. Doesn't matter how many sweets I've had, if someone brought in a whole cake, I'd eat as much of it as I could stomach. It's wild to me how much I can eat when it comes to cookies, cake, brownies, etc. I can moderate basically any other food in the world but my brain shuts off when it comes to sweets. I'd like to be able to buy a pack of Oreos and not eat the entire package within 12 hours.

I Am a senior recently turned 18 in January and I receive social security benefits from my father who is disabled. I have a very bad relationship with my father as he’s very manipulative and toxic and abuse. The system I have been left without medical care for the past year as he won’t claim to give my mother the insurance so that way I can get free health insurance as he makes too much not him, but my stepmother so I could not get free health insurance, but he refuses to claim that I live with my mother. I have currently a severely infected tooth and I have been wanting to get insurance but I’ve been denied from him, but he hasn’t been getting my money well technically his money but I receive benefits and he wants to go to Social Security to get out so he can still receive my benefits, which will not be going towards me. I am getting my license through my mother and my bank account open this weekend. How will that work with the Social Security and when I go to the building to get everything figured out for my father to confirm that I’m still in school to get my benefits will they give him the money or the money as I know other people who receive benefits get the money. I’m just really confused about this all on where to go and I’ve been debating on moving, but that would make hell from most of my family who live in my home if anyone has any advice, please I have no clue where to go and what to do.

Hello all. I live in Vancouver, BC. I just gave my 1 month's notice, and I'm moving out at the end of February.
The landlord surprised me by saying that they want to start viewing immediately on the 1st, and that if my stuff is in the room, they'll pull it out as they want to show the room "as is". Again, I'm not actually moving for one month. I said we could work out a time for viewing later in the month as I do slowly move my things out if they want to show an empty room, but they refused to budge. They implied that they would go ahead with the viewing this Saturday and just pull my stuff out if I'm uncooperative.
My question is thus: While I'm sure the Landlord can in fact negotiate viewings with a tenant, can they forcibly remove items from the dwelling, even temporarily? Further, is there a way to stop them if they attempt to do so? I'm almost certain they will damage something, they seemed incredulous that my PC is worth quite a bit of money and requires care to move.

So before I left my local park, I caught this Snivy. I was looking up the cp number for the hundo. I saw some were 600, then I saw one at 700. Is this right, or is this some weird glitch from the game? It still comes up as a hundo in the Pokédex, so I’m not complaining. Not to mention that Snivy is my favorite starter from Unova. I’m still trying to get the hang of the hundo and shadow knowledge as I’ve not been playing for sometime as my phone at the time would not load the game. Restarted back at early 2024. So I do apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Hey all, I have been listening to SheraSeven and the Slumflowerhour hour podcast for a while now and I'm interested in levelling up. I'm 19F and I am about to start university. I'm not looking to date anyone in uni honestly but I wanted some advice on whether I should wear makeup everyday for my lectures. Is it a good habit or is it a waste of time? I know Shera says to always look good, I just wanted some advice whether that still applies for a place like university where the type of men I want aren't present. For context, my type of makeup is fairly natural looking (foundation, colour Corrector, concealer, eyebrows, Kajal, mascara and a light amount of black eyeshadow from the middle of my eyelids to the corner or wing of my eye, blush and bronzer). This same question applies to my part time work where I will be working as a teacher aide. I feel good and I love putting it on, but just wanted some input.

Is it just me or does the army way overprioritize admin and other stupid bs over actually training our MOS? I'm a 12C (bridge builder) in the army reserves, and this last drill leadership says "we have too much admin, and we need to make medical calls, so we're cancelling our bridge building mission".
For context, we were supposed to train on a bridge that we maybe see once a year. A lot of guys were excited to finally get their hands on the equipment that they joined to work with, but instead we sat in the cubicle farm doing admin and making calls to QTC. Our schedule has 1 scheduled drill solely for building our primary bridge, then we mostly build bridges for 2 weeks over AT.
Is this what the army prioritizes? Checklists so that some major can say "wow look at how well this battalion is doing on their admin and medical" instead of being able to actually construct a bridge? Our unit is on the CRF list, and if something happened where a bridge needed to go up next week, our unit would absolutely not be able to construct it. It's frankly an embarrassment.

Today, I had my first date with a Scorpio woman. I’m really excited about how great it was to spend time with her. I believe she knows I’m serious about getting to know her, and it’s pretty obvious that we’ll have more dates ahead. I did some thoughtful things for her, like bringing her favorite flowers, drinks, snacks, and even some wound disinfectant (I'm a nurse) because she had no supplies and had scratches from her cat. We talked a lot, and I felt like she was really engaged, asking questions and all. I really appreciate that she’s an intelligent person, though I don’t think I’m that smart, sadly. Our eye contact was intense, and I mentioned it, which made her smile. Overall, she seemed to appreciate all the little things I paid attention to.
Since I’ve never gotten close to a Scorpio woman before, is there anything I should know or do to avoid messing things up?
