2025.01.31 03:11 Pagal-Aurat A1C 5.9 What are the changes I should make right away?
Hi All
10 months ago I was at 5.7 I didn’t take it that seriously but today it is 5.9 and I’m panicking. I’m not obese, I don’t even have a sweet tooth, I don’t understand why this is happening.
I’m 5.2ft, 63kg and 33F. Since Covid my activity levels dropped but in past 4 months I have been doing cardio. I’m Indian so my diet is full of carbs.
I’m actively trying to lose weight down to 55kg. What are some immediate steps I must take in order to regain my health? I want to clean up my diet sustainably and then do a blood check in April end.
What foods can I eat, what can I avoid, how much exercise I need? I have no history of any illness so this prediabetes is bothering me.

2025.01.31 03:11 AnimeSoupDraw Geforce driver wont let me reinstall, studio driver keeps saying to install even though already installed
I have a geforce 3070 pc, and a new driver update came out and gave me a grey screen, so I hard reset my pc but the option to reinstall the driver is just completely gone, and the studio driver says “install” even though I already installed it. Everytime theres a driver update it always glitches out and it gets on my damn nerves. Please help me out.

2025.01.31 03:11 GGEuroHEADSHOT Feeling like I missed out
I just appeared for my first jury duty summons. My wife is pregnant and due in June and we have an 18 month old at home.
I was asked to be juror #12. The case looked interesting and I told the judge about my situation, and the fact that I may be sequestered over night had me worried about not being at home to help my wife. He said I was to be put on standby, not to leave the courtroom until they filled the spots.
The spots were filled and we were all let go. I immediately regretted my decision, knowing sequestering doesn’t usually happen over night and if so, not for many days. I think my wife would have been fine by herself for a night or two, our child goes to bed around 7 PM.
I now see I really did want to experience the justice system from the point of a juror. The case seemed interesting and it would have lasted, as far as the judge and lawyers were concerned, three weeks.
My work would be fine with me being off and we don’t have any big vacations planned in the period it was meant to happen. I feel like I let myself down and our community.

Hello, was recently laid off from IBM consulting (worked there 5 yrs). it was my first job out of university and I wasn't a very good fit for it despite getting promoted once. the industry took a bit of a dive and here I am unemployed for the first time in my professional career and feeling lost.
I went to school for business (uofa) although the jobs I took through coop and after graduation were never too specialized (besides my SAP job at IBM which I didn't enjoy). other than that I worked at a not for profit (business analyst), a startup (business admin) and AHS as a procurement analyst.
I feel like I actually look pretty good on paper but still aren't sure where to go for work next. the work from home model was comfortable but I feel like I didn't engage well at work esp since I was a consultant just starting out.
I'm considering trades since it would be more hands on and tangible but ideally I would build on my education and experience - that being said I wasn't deployed on a project at IBM for a good portion of my work there so I'm feeling very dull, unmotivated and useless compared to when I first started out.
This has all led to me becoming pretty depressed so it's been tough to make clear decisions on a career path or even places to look for jobs.
any ideas/suggestions for a career path?

My step father had a major stroke in October resulting in the loss of 2/3 right side of his brain. He is completely disabled down one side and is still in rehab.
I worry that he is being taken advantage of by his accountant / financial advisor.
He is still quite there, but he forgets a lot. He very often gets confused in the afternoon and thinks it’s a new day. And at times it seems as though he is suffering delirium.
He has not had a cognitive assessment done yet, his medical team advised they would a few weeks ago.
His accountant visits him regularly and has him sign things. Most recently it was to pay his tax bills. Since paying these bills my mum & step father’s account has almost been emptied.
Now my mum and step father are low on funds as liquid cash went elsewhere to whatever it is the accountant paid…
Prior to the stroke my step father was self employed and has a SMSF. Prior to the injury my step father excluded my mum from all the financial management, but since she has stepped up to take care of everything full time.
The accountant still maintains everything is confidential between her and my step father. Which I don’t understand how that can be true when he is quite disabled?
The fact she doesn’t advise somebody else to be present to ensure my step father understands what’s going is concerning. Is this even legal?
