2025.01.31 04:20 Caelflux Restriction to max number of skills should be removed
As a monk able to run many 'auras' with spirit, I still remember feeling quite abashed to realise this meant I had hit a maximum limit of the number of skills I could use, when I wanted to have some additional skills in my kit.
I believe this is bad and counter-intuitive to the envisioned core design elements of the game which were continuously promoted.
Which was to be able to have different skill options to use for different scenarios, instead of being in a POE1 like position where you are using a very limited number of actual active skills.
Instead I think it makes a lot more sense to be able to use as many different skill slots as you want to, with the only limiting factor being the support gems. This is already a significant limitor. Why not allow us the option to have a ton more variety and complexity.
Cause I mean seriously why not? Maybe then I'd actually find times to use some super cool skills in some special situations, and to feel like my Monk is actually this epic Invoker capable of using different abilities at different times. I feel like this was the initial design intention of the game, however due to the power of heralds and auras, this has kind of been lost, at least for monks and any class investing heavily in auras and heralds.
I used gathering storm on my monk for a time even when I knew it wasn't the best skill, purely due to how fun it was to use. Now I'll never get to realistically use it again despite it feeling so FUN. Sure I could...but it would be slow and crippling.
Alongside removing the limit I think unset rings could also be changed to something else as a result. An idea I had was something like 'ring of power'; which allows you to sync it to a single skill in order to boost the quality of the skill. Perhaps it can roll between 2-5% quality boost as its inherent stat.
Tldr: Max skill limit sucks, remove the limit and just keep non-repeating support gems as the only limit, more fun, more skill use options (which was initially a core design element of poe2), allows more complexity and potential use of skills that otherwise get mostly ignored

I made a recipe out of the Maydan cookbook (Amazon link: https://a.co/d/5pJtiA7), for Hummus with Meat, where you make a lamb shoulder with Syrian 7-spice, sous-vide-ed for 18 hours at 200F, then shred it, simmer with orange juice and harissa, then serve over hummus. Delicious stuff, wonderful flavor But the lamb seemed kinda over-done, kinda mushy. Fine in the larger dish with hummus, but I'd like to make just the lamb (a separate recipe in the book), so want to get the texture better.
Thoughts on how long to do ~4 lb lamb shouldeleg and at what temperature? Bonus points if you've made the Syrian 7-spice Lamb out of the Maydan book.

Hey all,
Returning user of the app, but really a newbie.
I'm mainly a Cyclist, and use a Garmin Edge Bike Computer, Garmin Power-Meter Pedals, and Garmin HR strap to log all my Outdoor rides. In the winter, (Central NY) I use TrainerRoad (syncs with Garmin) with my smart trainer to log my Indoor Rides. Pretty simple.
Then I use RunGap to keep my other apps in sync ... Strava, RidewithGPS, and Apple Health.
I own an Apple Watch Ultra 2, wear all the time for wellness data, and to log occasional non-cycling workouts like hiking, and swimming. Again, I use RunGap connected to Apple Health to send all activities over.
I haven't paid much attention to my workout data in Apple Health, but it's not showing any HR data or Power data. It shows speed and distance, and what seems to be a breakdown in laps.
So, when using Athlytic, obviously it's not showing HR under all my workouts.
Any idea how to fix this? The data stored in RunGap from Garmin does show HR and Power. Is there a better way to send my non-Apple watch logged workouts over to Apple Health so they show all the data? Or did I miss a setting somewhere?

Hi, I'm a basshead and I think I want Lost Lands 2025 to be my first solo festivall.
I've been raving and attending festivals since 2012. My first festival was Ultra 2012. I've been to Lost Lands in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
My second festival was Bonnaroo 2012. I fell in love with the farm. I've been to that festival 5 times and it's my safe place. It also holds a lot of memories with my newly ex.
We dated for 8 years and fell in love with the festival life together. We've been to Ultra, EDC, Imagine, Elements, Sol Fest, Okee, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Lost Lands, Infrasound, Wakaan, ....we did it all.
Sadly things didn't work out. Nothing bad happened, but sometimes people just grow apart. We split amicably almost a year ago. Sol Fest 2024 was our last festival together and we split for good after.
Through all our festival history, Lost Lands struck a special place in my heart. I've had the absolute best times at Lost Lands. The genre of music that is played there is just my fucking favorite and it hits like no other. She didn't care for Lost Lands too much. She preferred either the small homie wakaan type festivals, or the cream of the crop in EF/Bonnaroo. Bonnaroo was OUR place.
Skipping the details there, we also had a tight knit group of friends that would meet with us at certain festivals. Bonnaroo was the big family hangout. We'd all meet up individually randomly at other fests, but Bonnaroo was every year everyone goes.
I'm single for the first time in nearly a decade, me and the ex are on great terms as friends, and the whole group is going to Bonnaroo this year, including my ex.
But....I kind of want to go to fucking Lost Lands instead. I can realistically only afford one this year. But I've already bought my Bonnaroo ticket in full. But...I want to come home to Lost Lands.
