I (25F) have been best friends with this woman (36F) for six years. We met when she was my manager, and over time we became super close, hanging out outside of work and doing everything together. For the first couple of years, our friendship was really solid. She’s been there for me through a lot of big moments in my life, and I really do love her. Most of the time, our friendship is great, and she treats me well. But lately, things have started to unravel, and I’m feeling stuck on what to do.
The turning point was my 22nd birthday when she got super drunk, yelled hurtful things at me, and even drove drunk an hour away from the house we were staying at, making everyone worry about her. Fast forward to this past September, on my 25th birthday trip, and it felt like history was repeating itself. We were on a cruise, and while most of the trip went fine, there were several times where she just snapped at me for no reason—once in a bar in New Orleans, once on a beach in Mexico, and even on the morning and night of my birthday. All of these outbursts happened while we were drinking, and it felt like she was just flipping a switch. One minute everything was fine, and the next she was embarrassing me in front of others, making me feel worthless.
It’s hard to explain, but I’ve been really struggling with how unpredictable and hurtful her behavior can be. I haven't hung out with her since the trip, though we’ve texted a little. I miss her and the good times we’ve had, but I can’t ignore how much her actions have hurt me. The thing that stings the most is that she hasn’t even apologized. She recently reached out to go to dinner, but I’m unsure if I should just act like nothing ever happened. I can’t pretend everything is fine when I’m still carrying all this pain.
To make matters worse, her now boyfriend called me and told me that she’s done the same thing to him—lashed out when she was drunk and left him confused and hurt. He’s not sure what to do either. So now, I’m really torn. My family and close friends have told me to cut her off for good, but I really don’t want to lose her. I love her, and she’s been such an important part of my life. But I don’t know how to rebuild trust when it feels like she can just snap and hurt me without warning.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Should I try to have a serious conversation with her and try to work things out, or is it better to just walk away and protect myself? Any advice is welcome.

Second kiddo on the way, first is now four and only breastfed a few months. I plan on going as long as I can this time. Anyway…past 2 days my left nipple has leaked blood. For sure dark red blood. Same spot on the left nipple, just like a pin poke spot and amount. I’ll send a message to my doctor about it, but has anyone experienced this? I’ve had colostrum for a few weeks now, sooo this is new.

 | We live in AK so minimal opportunity to see boats, let alone try them. However, we can get Wenonah boats here and we have narrowed it down to the 16' Adirondack (specs in photo) and 17' Spirit 2. There are great multiday canoe trails up here and plenty of nice road accessible lakes but also mellow rivers. We would be <400 lbs with gear for overnights typically so trending towards the Adurondack. I have searched all over yet I still have questions with the Adirondack: 1. Does the lack of rocker affect maneuverability that much? Some lakes are connected with small, brisk streams of course. 2. Is there plenty of space for the bow paddler? My Minnesotan wife likes to take the stern so I'd be up front (6'). 3. Is the Spirit 2 much more stable and not much slower? We will be fishing out of it plenty... Hi everyone, I’m new here and have had many cats across my life, but have a special love for ragdolls. I’ve wondered about getting one down the road when I have time to raise a kitten. I know people would prefer that you take two instead of one, but I really only have room in my apartment for one cat. I also have a small middle-aged dog who is used to cats. Would it be better for me to get a different kind of cat or can a ragdoll survive as a Singleton? Thanks so much. I love all the pictures on here- they totally lift my mood every day.
