Hey Everyone, as someone who wanted to get into AoS and loving the whole Chaos vibe, I purchased in the UK the Darkoath box, rule of cool and all that, but it seems from research (mainly here haha ) that they're pretty crappy.
Now I'm back in New Zealand where the Darkoath box retails at nearly double the cost I purchased it in the UK, so I might be able to get a decent price and make my money back….so
Is Darkoath ever going to be good? I'm not super invested in them, and they are still in their box/package, I don't plan on being massively competitive, but I don't want to be squishy once I actually get into it.

In a purely hypothetical scenario you have an aircraft on an instrument plan cleared for the visual. There is also a VFR traffic in the vicinity, approved for the visual separation from the aircraft on approach.
When the collision alert sounds the VFR traffic is approximately on a head on course and closure rate of 200kts or more.
Do the rules specify what must be done next:
Verify that VFR traffic still able to maintain visual separation
or
"Cancel" the visual separation and issue an immediate turn instruction to to de-conflict.
Or there is no prescribed procedure and the next action is left to the controller best judgment?

When I was in high school, I started a charity fundraiser. The school encouraged community service, and I thought it would look good on my college applications. I picked a cause (disaster relief) and started collecting donations at school events. I made posters, gave a speech about “giving back,” and had teachers praising me for taking initiative.
At first, everything was completely above board. People donated cash, and I kept it in a box in my room, fully intending to send it all to a real charity. But the problem was… no one was watching. No one asked for receipts, no one followed up. I had complete control over the money, and the temptation was just there.
It started small. One day, I was out with friends, short on money, and I thought, It’s just $10. I’ll put it back later. Then it became $20 here, $30 there. Before I knew it, I was using the money for myself—fast food, new clothes, even part of a concert ticket. I kept telling myself I’d replace it before actually sending the donation, but of course, that never happened.
The worst part? No one ever asked about it again. The school didn’t check, the donors didn’t follow up, and I let the whole thing fade away without ever making the actual donation. I walked away scot-free, but years later, I still think about it.
I feel disgusting knowing that people gave money thinking it was going to help others, and instead, I just… kept it. I know I could donate that amount (or more) now to make up for it, but it doesn’t change what I did. I wasn’t desperate, I wasn’t struggling—I was just selfish.
I don’t know if posting this makes any difference, but I needed to admit it somewhere.

2025.01.31 04:41 Ok_Zombie_891 Wanting to switch clinics. Clinic delaying IVF, wanting up front payments.
Hi, we completed an egg retrieval last beginning of last month, at our clinic. The clinic immediately said to proceed with the next stage, they required an up front payment. We haven't had any issues with our insurance at this point, and neither has the provider stated they have had any issues. My insurance confirms they will cover the procedures. My state has a 30 day maximum time frame for insurance companies to pay clean claims. We decided to wait for the insurance company to catch up, because the up front payment was not worth speeding up 30 days.
Turns out the provider sat on the claim for 3 weeks, before even submitting. Insurance company paid them the beginning of last week, and they still claim they haven't been paid. Am I unreasonable for wanting to switch clinics for the FET? Is this even possible / normal?
We are approaching 2 months since egg retreival. I feel like I am in an urgent timeframe due to just getting a clear to go after a year of treatment due to severe atypia.
