This is one of the left’s favorite taglines to lean on in any situation that resembles a debate or political conversation, but it’s evident that the people who say this don’t actually believe the statement despite how often it’s repeated.
This statement implies that there’s a subset of Republicans whose views they deem acceptable and believe that Republicans or otherwise right-leaning people can disagree with them in respectable ways.
Saying this communicates that there’s a “correct” way to disagree with the left wing in a way that won’t anger and upset them, yet, I’ve somehow never run into any of these mythical Republicans that leftists claim to be able to tolerate disagreeing with.
Even recently there’s been a huge push against the concept of libertarianism, which you would think would be the perfect template for an “acceptable disagreement” in the eyes of left-wing people. But no, now even if you hold a right-wing economic idea and still support all their social causes it’s “you can’t claim yourself to be socially progressive while endorsing the system that holds back the people you claim to support.” Don’t tell me nobody says this, I’ve been seeing it frequently.
Disagree about the border? You’re a horrible person who wants people in cages.
Disagree about big tech censorship? You just want to say slurs with no punishment and support the spread of medical misinformation.
Disagree with sending billions overseas while our own citizens suffer? You’re complicit in the suffering and death of children in the Middle East.
Disagree about how citizens should be taxed? You’re a boot-licking, horrible person who hates poor people and wants them to suffer.
Disagree about children being exposed to certain topics in elementary school? You hate everyone not exactly like you and you want them all dead.
I could go on.
So, if someone who repeatedly says this line wants to tell me what these mythical political topics are that we’re allowed to “correctly” disagree with left-wing people on, it would be incredibly enlightening. I’ve spent years searching for them and I’m all out of ideas.

I am a player in a 2 year ongoing campaign and have an opportunity to run a 1 shot while our regular DM is away for a session.
I was hoping to have it run as a side mission to our existing campaign so we can use the current PCs without wasting time creating new characters etc.
Is there a decent pre written 1 shot that I could run that would fit this? I dont mind buying a book at all, just want it to be something that can work as I am short on time but keen to take the opportunity before I start running my own campaign down the track.

I had a bad bronchitis attack, which caused me to have a heart attack. A few stents later, I'm doing great! Better than in 20 years or so!.
However, my boss decided it was inconvenient for the business, so she visited me in the hospital and fired me.
How nice!
So. Having convinced her to pay feb rent out of my upcoming pay, I am not homeless. but the hospital visit took all my money. I mean, I'm alive, so it's worth it.

2025.01.31 04:49 sailink Empty gyms thanks to bots!?
I live near a park with 2 gyms with team harmony amongst the blue, red and yellow teams. Recently I’ve noticed that a lot of the times when I go for my morning walk or take my dog out at night that the gyms suddenly become left empty. I would typically put my pokemon in the gym and within 20mins it gets kicked out.
This has been happening for over a month now and it’s constant. Any words of advice on who I talk to or how to report this would be helpful. I suspect it’s a yellow team player because less than 2 blocks away the yellow team immediately kicks people out at all hours of the day as soon as the gym gets taken over.

2025.01.31 04:49 Responsible-Wash1394 Someone told me that I looked like I’ve lost weight today and I almost wanted to cry.
I have been overweight for almost 10 years, and it really accelerated when my mom passed away young earlier last year. I came to the conclusion around the holidays that I don’t have to eat from grief and hate the way I look in photos. Eating comfort junk all the time made me feel gross, and knew I had to make a change. The grief eventually turned into motivation to change my relationship with food and to be mindful of what I eat and to take basic care of myself.
I am a 6’4” male in his early 30s that has gone from 287 down to 280 since New years. I eat around 2,300-2,500 calories a day with yoga (that I need to be more consistent with) along with strength training three days a week and inclined treadmill walk twice a week. I also recently started an 8,000 daily step goal but bumped it up to 9,000 since I was surpassing it pretty consistently. I wouldn’t say I’m perfect with this regimen, but I don’t have to be.
Today, a friend I haven’t seen in a few weeks noted that I looked like I have lost weight since she’s seen me last and I felt like breaking down. I have hated my weight for so long and this finally felt like a desperately needed win after my mom died and I was laid off from my job. Since then, I went to the gym and sweated my butt off on the treadmill and am determined to keep going.
Sometimes grief can become fuel for motivation. I’m very excited to see where it takes me.

My husband and I have been mixing them up when we are super tired and I’m now worried this will be an issue. I see a lot of people saying that the rugby ball heads of some of the new EC models are very much shaped like the eldar helmets, but what if that's intentional? Isn't the new Fulgrim model weilding one of those super important Eldar swords? I think it'd be quite cool if those new EC heads were made just to be a mockery of the Eldar.
