Hi everyone
My employer just received the DCOS after two weeks of waiting, which is such a good news. However, I noticed two minor errors: - They put a duration of 5 years when we mentioned 2 to start with (so I prepared money to pay visa fees + two years of Healthrcare Surchage, I cannot pay for 3 more years right now đ
). I think they just wanted to help and don't really know about the fees on my side. - Start date is sooner than we agree on. I have a huge personal issue I need to handle before leaving so I cannot go any sooner...
I will call HR today but does anyone have an idea if these changes are really impactful for them? They paid the 5 years fees for instance. I really don't want to be bothering them when they've been working on that visa process for so long already + do we have to wait another two weeks or so for this kind of modification?
Let's say I find a solution to keep the 5 years duration. Regarding the starting date, what happens if I come to the UK a bit after the written start date? (Not sure at all my visa will be agreed by then anyway, because the current start date is in 1 month).

2025.01.31 06:10 trizznizz New to notion still trying to get the hang of everything. Im using a second brain template with the para method, but im still confused on a few things and wondering if anyone can help me figure out the best way that would work for what i do?
So I basically want to keep track of personal stuff such as "home" for cleaning, take care of pets, etc. I also run a small business and would like to have categories for that such as products, content creation, etc.
So how should i set up my areas? Should i have areas be "Business", "Personal", "travel", and so on then keep it as a vague category with sub-categories like having "Content creation" under the "business" area or will that make things less organized in the long run?
Also used the "reference" database as just a place to put links, videos, and whatever i want to reference back on. not sure if thats the correct use of it but that works for me.
Another thing I'm confused about is when to use tasks vs projects. Right now, my tasks are things like "create a mockup for client," "ship orders," and "Go through the camera roll." I use a multi-select with contexts like "business," "computer," "phone," and "home".. Projects are things like "Gas cap covers," which is a product I want to make,inside that project i have tasks, but what I'm struggling with is, would I link that project and its tasks to a "business" area then add contexts for what I want for the subcategory like "product visualization" and "content creation" or just link the area to business? I hope some of this makes sense lol. I just feel like this is not a good system, so I need some guidance because I know Im definitely starting to confuse myself lol

As the text says, I have not finished a playthrough of the game yet, and with the time that I have off of work and school, I'm wanting to actually start a new playthrough with my actual character, and romance the wizard boy :))) And I personally just want the best ending for him and my character, as well as all the other companions, but I'm mainly focusing on Gale because he is who I'm romancing. I recently stumbled upon a reel of one of their sets, and it looked like a fucking blastâeveryone going crazy, bouncing off the walls, bumping into each other, with some push moshing sprinkled in. It looked beautiful. Itâs the kind of energy I wish the rave scene had more of.
These days, if you go even a little crazy at a rave, you get dirty looks or, worse, recordedâespecially in NYC, where, in my experience, the sound rarely goes beyond deep house or techno house. When I do find harder techno events or anything with a higher BPM, the crowd energy is usually dead. Aside from a handful of people really getting into it, most just stand around, acting like those who are fully enjoying the music are the odd ones out. Some even give disgusted or annoyed looks.
(Again, this is just my personal experienceâif Iâm wrong, Iâd love to be corrected and pointed in the right direction for the kind of energy Iâm looking for.)
Sorry for the mini rant, but Iâd love some recommendations for this vibe if it even exists in NYC. Honestly, for such a big city, the scene feels disappointingly narrow.
