Hello! I'm sorry if there is a recent answer or info on this, the browsing I did everything was fairly dated or didn't apply to my situation, which is mostly simple but I'm new and confused to all this. I have a LVN license in CA but we are making plans for a move to GA and I'm getting confused with how to get my LPN license by endorsement there. CA doesn't allow the endorsement via nursys, they do for RNs only, so I have the printed form and was going off the information I saw on the GA SOS website, do I need to have a permanent address in GA before I can go through this process? I was hoping to be able to either immediately job hunt or look at potential jobs prior to leaving. If anyone has any advice I'm super grateful!!

2025.01.31 06:19 TheCold0ne Latest PC update causes freezes in every battle
I booted it up after downloading the latest update and now most spells/attacks cause a 30+ second freeze in battle. This is mostly seen with spells heavy in 3D visuals, like Ice, Knight strikes, etc.
Has anyone else seen this? It's virtually unplayable now. I'm on Steam Deck, btw.

For years it used to work that hovering over the cover would open up the manga and you could mouse-wheel scroll through the pages. Now it shows just the thunbnail cover over hover over.
This is on imagus mod. I already tried deleting and updating the sieves.

2025.01.31 06:19 HopefulSprinkles6361 Should I split a story into pieces?
I’ve been working on drafting my story. One thing I am thinking about doing to cut down some of the work is splitting up my story. That way I can finish drafting faster with less to do. I am curious what people think of this practice and if I should attempt to replicate it.
Something I’ve noticed is how some authors will have a single major conflict. Then they would split up that conflict into multiple parts each as separate novellas. Each part is about a major plot point of the overall conflict. The main character will win or lose that part of the story. At the end of each part they would leave it on a cliffhanger with something like “to be continued…” The final part being a conclusion to the conflict with “the end.”
Then after all parts have been released, they would put it all into a single volume. Each part of the volume being around 3-5 chapters.
I am curious what people think about releasing stories this way. How do you feel about splitting up a story into multiple parts like that?

So, my (17nb) long distance partner (18nb) and I have been dating for a while now. They're in America, and I'm in Canada.
Recently, ever since the inauguration, they've been depressed. Understandable, since they're nb and transitioning mtf and are very androgynous. We haven't been talking as much as we used to, and when we do it's "I'm so scared" into "I miss you so much". I'm always there to comfort them and make sure they're okay, checking up with them throughout the day.
Still, I feel so lonely and almost useless. There's only so many times I can say "it'll be okay" in so many different ways. And I don't have any friends besides them, so I've been going to my mom for my interests, most of which she doesn't understand or can't engage with me with on the level I need.
Just now, when I expressed to this to them, they said I needed to "do what's best for me". I don't want to leave them, and that seems to be what they're implying. I love them but I feel so lonely.
I can't stop crying. My pillow is soaked. Please, I need someone to tell me what to do. Is it okay to feel this way?

This happened last month during a Christmas lunch, I made the huge mistake of mentioning my migraine at a family lunch. One of my aunt was talking about her "headaches" and was actually explaining an aura episode she's had, without actually knowing what it was. I felt bad for her and a sense of connection, so I mentioned that I struggle with some form of migraine too and that I've been working with neurologists, and the discomfort I feel on the back part of my neck.
I didn't go into details at all, but it was enough for my ~40yrs old cousin to intervene, he of course gets migraines too BUT he has this set of stretches he does which totally block the migraine. I pretend to acknowledge it and let the discussion die straight away.
After a while, he sends me a message with this set of stretches. It's a random super muscular instagram influencer, who is literally just stretching/pulling his arms :(
