I'm struggling to bridge the gap from understanding into acceptance with a few things with my symptoms. I feel like with any mental illness there's a distinction with understanding symptoms and what needs to be done and actually accepting it- at least for me To be up front, I can't afford therapy and I'm still getting to my proper maintance dosage with Lamictal. My main issue is that I know i need to be alone. In my current state I'm still too unhealed from past relationship related trauma (just lingering insecurities from being cheated on, not feelings) and trying to figure myself out again at 28. I ultimately bring far more cons than pros to anything even remotely resembling a relationship to consider one right now. I'm neurotic, boring, paranoid, and i still often feel like im just observing myself say and do stupid shit with no proper control over my actions.
Still though, theres a small part of me that's so desperately lonely and craving attention that I know I dont wholeheartedly mean any of this. It's like I can't let go of a tiny shred of unwarranted optimism. My craving for intimacy and being cared about just overrides self awareness still. I've tried to put myself out there in the last year, but it just makes me worse.
Is there anything that helped you through something like this, or is it just another one of those things that comes with time?

Por si no me hice entender amigos, para viajar terrestre hay que comprar unos boletos y autenticarlo con documento, el problema es que como voy a tener los 18 recién cumplidos para entonces, no voy a tener cédula pero sé que hay que tener una contraseña para el trámite.
Mi pregunta es que si es estrictamente necesario obtenerla o si no le ponen problema a eso? Agradeceria su respuesta gente.

Has anyone else had this told to them? Hi let me give you a brief summary of my crappy situation, I was brought here at 1 year old not my choice but I guess I’m grateful. Im undocumented and at 17 I was orphaned and have been raising my little sister since, I even have a EMT license now, I got married March of 2024 I’m 20 now and after a few consultations with lawyers I’ve been told $10k and 6 years with no work and permit in sight ? I have no criminal record at all. Is this for real?

2025.01.31 06:42 WhySoComplicaded My mom is supposed to move out tomorrow but hasn’t even started looking for a place yet
My mom (45) is supposed to leave tomorrow and even after I (25) have sent her countless places and called her daily to encourage her to look at them in hopes of scheduling showings, she never looked at them.
She says that she has no will to live and feels hopeless as she has several evictions under her belt, no bank, and no current work history.
The last time her land lord had told her he was going to sell the place, she asked me to help pay for her airbnbs while she searched for a new home. I agreed to this. He ended up changing his mind about selling the home. Since then he has officially decided to sell and gave us 3 months notice.
Now, I’m in a position where I’m watching my mom not do anything to find a new home with months notice, and it makes me not want to help with the costs.
But she also seems to be mentally in a position where she isn’t capable of doing anything for herself.
If anyone were to have a conversation with her over the phone, they’d think she was a perfectly sharp, healthy, capable adult, but her actions say otherwise.
But in person? I don’t know if people would see her the same way. I haven’t seen her since her last eviction 2 years ago, as she is agoraphobic and honestly I’m afraid to see her because she doesn’t look like herself anymore.
What can I do / what should I do?

I am not speaking for myself, but I have seen attractive people who seem to suffer from BDD and its like nobody seems to have any time for them😭 they genuinely think theyre faking their crippling insecurity because anyone with eyes would find them attractive. So they are very rude and horrid when they voice any insecutity
Why do people think this is a mental illness that conventionally attractive people are exempt from? It reminds me of that old animated batman episode where that woman hides her face because she thinks shes hideous but shes actually beautiful. But she cannot see it
