I met my husband fresh out of college at 22 years old and we were married and had our 1st child together by 23 and my 2nd by 25. I am currently 27 years old and my husband is 30. We grew up completely opposite. I was raised in a house by a single mom who was educated and not male centered. We had a routine schedule and my mom is also a teacher so she is pretty organized and patient. I have 1 sibling close in age and we always grew up sharing a room, clothes, etc due to the fact that my mom only had 1 income we were not always in the best financial situation. With that I went off to college back in 2016 in hopes to have a better financial outcome then my single mom. Fast forward right after graduating, I meet my husband. He was raised by his mom and step dad in a house with 4 other siblings. His mom is very codependent with all her children since my father in law was never around much do to working 12+ shifts daily to take care of the home. They are super religious and traditional so he is the only person who works in the home. When I came around my MIL instantly did not care for me. She would call me super quiet and just felt like she couldn't figure something out about me and since she is the head honcho in the family his siblings followed behind her with any dislike towards me. My husband and all of his family are all high school drop outs and could care less for education and working. We are all just different but out of all them my husband and I are most similar, but still different. My end goal is to be comfortable and to enjoy a job in my career field. I got my first job, healthcare working from home, and my husband just doesn't seem to understand the importance or no background noise, the seriousness of my calls and also an app as simple as LinkedIn. Im always asking him to wake up (he works about 32 hours weekly 3rd shift) but he feels that's his "me time" and when I asked him when do I get my me time he looks puzzled like I deserve me time and I believe it is this way due to him seeing his mother being a stay at home mom for over 20 years. To make a long story short, it's either my mothers in laws way or the highway with my husband. If we are on vacation we do what she does. If we are choosing a restaurant we eat what she eats. She wants to choose the schools my kids attend, church, etc and if I don't choose the same option as her it's like I'm an outsider. It's scary to ever speak up or even get close to my in- laws due to the fact that my own husband and his siblings act like they fear them or can't ask them simple questions. They never got to know me and my mother in law is so hostile it's driving me crazy and I feel like as long as I'm with my husband they I have to deal with them. Where there is any drama he wipes his hands and says "that has nothing to do with me". I'm always having to alter myself to make her feel comfortable....Any advice? Please....

2025.01.31 06:51 Common_Belt Day 42 and I can't deal with getting little to no sleep.
TL;DR- Seroquel didn't work. What next?
As I am technically, apparently, not even into long covid, I am very new to this.
I have a lot of problems (it seems like), POTS, PEM, insomnia, tinnitus, etc. The insomnia seems to be the worst problem because without sleep, everything else is so much worse.
My doctor thinks getting me some sleep is the first step and so he prescribed me seroquel. Two friends who are doctors agreed it was a good option and told me not to read the Reddit horror stories and know they've had dozens of patients have success with it.
I wasn't one of them sadly. It made me have these bizarre sensations like waves of pain were rolling up my body from my feet to my head. It lasted about an hour in which I laid there and then it finally stopped and I did fall asleep for like 5 hours which was nice. But, I just can't do that again.
Strangely, I can seem to fall asleep for 30-90 minutes each night (maybe quick or maybe after an hour) but then it's awake time with usually no more sleep.
Any thoughts as to what I should try next? I'm hanging on by a thread. Thanks in advance and good luck with your recovery.

I do apologize as this is for benefits but I’m curious and don’t know where else to ask. I just got a letter stating I’m summoned for jury duty this 5th of February at 0815 when just previously about 4 months ago had filed an online document stating I couldn’t be part of jury duty due to my mental health. I am diagnosed with sever ptsd, Schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. That being said would that be enough of a reason to get out of jury duty? I’ve only been summoned once my whole life and mentioned i had just lost a family member a few days prior and they let me go but idk if this time my mental health would he of factor. Any suggestions or ideas?

Hallo liebe Sparfüchse,
mir ist letztes Jahr beim Suchen nach einem neuen Stromvertrag folgendes aufgefallen. Wenn man bei einem bekannten Vergleichsportal seinen geschätzten jährlichen Verbrauch höher angibt, dann werden auch die Boni der Anbieter höher. Natürlich steigen damit auch die monatlichen Kosten, aber das meiste würde ich ja zurückbekommen, wenn ich es nicht so viel Strom verbrauche. Ich habe das mal für mich durchgerechnet, wenn den Stromverbrauch von einem 4-Personenhaushalt angebe (4250kwh). Da würde ich monatlich zwar 150€ zahlen, aber nach dem einen Jahr Vertragslaufzeit und nach der Rückzahlung und Auszahlung der Boni komme ich auf Gesamtkosten von 75€ für einen Verbrauch von 600kwh. Das ist jetzt sehr auf die Spitze getrieben, weil die Kluft zwischen angegebenem und tatsächlichen Verbrauch gigantisch ist.
Jetzt die Frage: Ist das so erlaubt? In den AGB auf die schnelle habe ich keine derartigen Ausschlüsse gefunden.
Man muss es ja nicht so übertreiben wie in meinem Beispiel, aber vielleicht kann man ja einfach seinen Verbrauch beim Vergleichen großzügig aufrunden und so einen größeren Bonus kassieren.

4.4. Predlažem da se napravi "stub beskičmenjaka", sajt, folder, šta god - gdje će se stavljati slike ovih plaćenih huligana, jer internet ne zaboravlja. Oni će zbog svog bezobrazulka i oholosti najviše najebati, prema njima ne treba biti milosrdan nego ih treba zasipati jajima. Vremenom, kada se krene puniti "stub beskičmenjaka" i kada njihove familije, djevojke, braća vide da su oni tu, i krenu aktivno da ih izbjegavaju i upiru prstom u njih - za naš narod nema veće kazne.

Taj vaš zagrljaj će obezbjediti to.
4.6. Strane vlade nam nisu naklonjene, zemlja je puna razno-raznih agenata. Ali oni neće djelovati. Amerika se fokusirala na sebe. EU je pod pritiskom zbog Ukrajine, bukvalno smo sami sa bubuljicom. I hajde da obavimo taj proces kako treba.
Neće biti lako, proći ćemo test izdržljivosti i istrajnosti, planirajte godinu dana - ali šta je jedna godina istrajnosti na 99 godina života?
