Hi all,
I male in my late 30s and I've never set foot in the gym before as I feel very uncomfortable at the thought of it due to some bad experiences at school when I was younger. I've always focused on home workouts and the odd walk.
Fitness-wise I'm quiet unhealthy but my diet is quite good (I've been slowly building up a healthier diet over the past few years). I'm starting off with home workouts to build my stamina/fitness up and then I'm thinking of taking that big first step and join a gym.
I'm thinking of perhaps getting a personal trainer to begin with as I don't have any knowledge or experience of how to use gym equipment and so hopefully avoid injury by doing so. I just want to ask how much I should expect to pay on average (in UK) for a personal trainer and what I should expect from a PT session at the gym? What is everyone's general experience with personal trainers? Am I correct to use a PT to begin with?

Hello everyone,
I could use some advice on an issue I'm encountering. I’m currently working on a brake job for my '72 Super Beetle, and since I had everything disassembled, I decided to replace the front axle wheel bearings as well, as they were due for a change. I have all the parts ready and have watched several instructional videos, but I’ve run into a couple of problems.
First, the grease seal keeps popping off when I try to reinstall the brake drum with the new wheel bearings. On top of that, I’m unable to get the brake drum to fit back on at all. I’ve adjusted the brake shoes to their lowest setting, as the new shoes are much thicker than the old ones, but no luck.
Would anyone happen to have any advice or insights on how to move forward with this?

For me it's pretty damn hard. Definitely harder than vanilla so far. For one, most tough enemies one or two shot me even though I've been generously putting points into vigor. Sure some of the spells are powerful but it seems like the tankier and harder hitting enemies more than make up for that. What are your thoughts?

I started night shift recently as a new grad and I thought I’d be fine since I’m a night owl but I’ve been having difficulty sleeping on my days between shifts. I have blackout curtains and my neighbors don’t make a lot of noise. Usually if I work consecutive days I sleep 6-8 hours but I, for some reason, sleep around 4 hours or less when I don’t have work.
My schedule for the past few weeks have been a little chaotic since I’ve been having to take a class weekly at 7am. I think it’s been messing me up a little and I have a few more weeks of it, so I guess we’ll see how it goes after. Basically it’s been 3 days of work, sleep, class, and repeat. My body’s probably struggling from going back and forth between staying up all night and having to wake up early. Any tips on adjusting is helpful though!

I am a new team member that started in the beginning of December and im starting to work service desk as well.
Im not going to lie, I have a lot of personal issues regarding mental health and I am autistic. This is my problem to deal with, and I understand that. I have a very hard time asking people for things and I get really nervous and have a hard time going up to my managers and asking about my schedule.
The issue is I recently started school and I sent in a schedule change form a few weeks before then. The problem is there seems to have been some sort of miscommunication because they started scheduling me like 10 hours more than I was working before now that I am starting school which seems backwards. I cant handle working this much and being a full time student.
What are appropriate ways to contact management? This hasnt really been told to me. Is it okay to call for things like this? Should I ask HR?
Im having a really hard time with this and would really appreciate any advice
