I've been looking for a laptop to use for class, play some games (like Sims or genshing idk, I'm new at this) and to make long calls on discord. I heard HP is not that good and for some reason no one likes it, but my friend had this one for 6 years and still works perfectly, and since I'm not planning to play games like Apex or any games that needs like an Asus ROG zephyrus G14 to function perfectly, I thought maybe this one will suffice.
Opinion? Or any recommendations? I like the design, the battery is a bit meh but since I won't be playing more that twice a week maybe? I'll use it mostly for discord and movies probably, I'll just play some games when my friends feel like it.

Also caught a short documentary on the production, and like all Herzog films, it was an ambitious vision. But I can’t say I loved this one. At times, it is too dramatic and anticlimactic, and this Nosferatu feels more like a sensitive, whimpering abomination than a true force of dread. This is just advice for any new users of ffmpeg as someone who just needed to convert old DVD vids from VOB to MP4 with original quality. I (as a new user) was pretty lost at first, so I just want to simplify for those like me.
Download and Install ffmpeg: This site helped me accomplish this as finding the right thing to install was breaking my head in. How to Install FFmpeg on Windows: A Step-by-Step Guide
Then watch this video from 3:57 to 5:10. This will help you see how to input the command but just note, if you're a windows 11 user like me, when you do the step to right-click in the folder, you might not see "Open Command Window Here", you might see "Open in Terminal" instead which is fine and you can click that, and don't worry if it takes you to Windows PowerShell instead of cmd.exe, the same instructions still apply (at least they did for me).
- ffmpeg -i videoname.VOB -c:v copy -c:a copy videoname.mp4
- Then click enter. And it should show up in the same folder.

Im BIB steht, dass Einstiegskosten in Höhe von 170€ anfallen. 1,8% „… Auswirkung der Kosten bei einer Haltedauer von weniger als einem Jahr.“ 170€ von 10.000€ sind aber 1,7%.
Was habe ich da übersehen? Des Weiteren stellt sich mir die Frage, ob die Gebühren Pauschal 170€ betragen. Also auch wenn ich nur eine Anleihe für 1000€ kaufe? Fallen diese Gebühren nur beim Kauf einer Neuemission an oder auch Anteilig beim späteren Einstieg?

also is it safe for minors (<18) to consume the alcohol content in herbal tinctures on a regular basis? i know that the alcohol content for small doses are usually around the same as a ripe banana and the net positive of the herbs makes the possible downsides negligible but i keep stumbling on conflicting information where any amount of alcohol is inflammatory for the body and that most people recommend to avoid it.

2025.02.01 19:49 wnoble My poor Orange Tree. What should I do.
I am in southern California. This Orange tree was lush and beautiful when we bought our house 10 years ago. After heavy pruning, about three years ago, all the leaves started falling off. My gardener mentioned it might be due to disease, leading to the eventual loss of all leaves and drying out.
Over the last few years, shoots have sprouted from the main trunk. I left it alone to see if it would recover. The shoots remain, but there has been no substantial recovery.
My question is whether I should top the tree, removing all the dead branches to encourage growth from the new shoots, or remove it entirely and start over.
