My name is Sophie, and I’m a Master’s student in English at the University of Southern Denmark. I’m currently working on my MA thesis, which explores the fascinating (and often stigmatized) world of romance literature.
Romance novels are a billion-dollar industry loved by many, yet they’re frequently dismissed as “trashy” or “lowbrow.” For my thesis, I aim to uncover why this genre is so polarizing, and I need your help to understand the diverse perspectives out there.

This will be my first time visiting Thailand. I will be staying for 3 weeks. The focus of this trip is for relaxation adult fun. The plan for this trip is to stay in Bangkok for 3 days then fly over to ko samui. Stay there for 6 days. Fly back to Bangkok, take a train to pattaya. Stay in pattaya for 6-7days. Go back to Bangkok and stay until it’s time to head back. Do you think this is a solid plan? Any recommendations?

Basically, I'm running a pirate campaign and my players wanted to do gestalt/power fantasy play, especially with one of the house rules allowing for them to have a sort of "signature move" that basically gives them a extra ability that's fairly strong but only is allowed to use once per long rest.
I'm down for running a high powered campaign as it kinda allows me to go crazy with the combat and make it more fun, but how do I do that?
I know tactics are kinda one thing, and also having nearly every enemy have a sorta signature move too would be nice, but what else?

i’ve done a few orders where the customer had to sign in their app but i have NEVER had a customer actually get the notification or know how to actually do it 😂. they’ve even showed me their phone and it’s never been clear how you’re supposed to do it and there’s never anything showing on their screen. such a dumb feature.

On my new on it only costed me "only" 30% of my fps
New pc got a 5800x3d and 3080

I went in at the deep end tonight. New debuyer and its first cook was about 10 home made beef patties.
I know that hot water and a wipe or light scrub with nothing too abrasive is normally the way but beef is quite intense, I found myself deglazing with some simmering water and a wooden spatula to get the stubborn bits off like I do with my stainless steel pans.
Is this the process also for CS?
It did seem to strip a little seasoning off so after cleaning I heated it up, let it cool and applied another couple of thin layers.
Did I do the right thing here? I assume you don’t want to allow any carbon build up. But at which point should I stop worrying about seasoning after cleaning? I only seasoned again because it was a new pan and I had to get tough on the stuck overcooked beef fat.

2025.02.01 22:50 krow1503 Should i changed out cables too?
My car seems to need a jump start like maybe every two weeks, so im finally changing out the battery, should i be changing any other cables or connections? My kids went inside my car started playing with lights and car wouldnt turn on anymore, every now and then also it wont turn on so i have to jump start, at this point im 90% sure its the battery so as soon as i park i turn all the lights off and stuff. Im finally going to buy a new battery but the top looks like it has buildup on it so wondering what other stuff i should replace. Seems like the guy who sold it to me never really maintained it. Changed out the cabin air filter, the engine filter, they looked filthy, Did the oil change, car runs very well, only thing is since i bought it months ago, it doesnt turn on at random times, sometimes i dont need to jump start, i just wait a few minutes and it'll turn on. Any advice is welcome

I comment something, person A replies to me then blocks me. Person B also replies separately and doesn't block me and isn't blocked by me.
When I try to reply to person B, it won't let me. Makes zero sense, person B and I have no beef with each other at all, there is no reason for us to not be able to continue on on our own thread.
This happens to me all the time in especially political subreddits, where people are very angry about everything, and frequently someone blocks you for just saying some calm sentence about a policy they don't like. You then get forced out of what may be a nice productive good conversation with 10 other people, because this bug shuts down the whole thread for you.
And nobody else even knows what happened.

I have column_A and it is a multi-select picklist column where it could have values like A, AB, ABC, AC, and so on. I want to get all distinct values and count their frequencies so I should get something like A=4, B=2, C=2, and so on.
For this, I have calculated fields written for every distinct value such as A = IF CONTAINS([column_A], “A”) THEN 1 ELSE 0 END, B = IF CONTAINS([column_A], ”B”) THEN 1 ELSE 0 END, and so on.
I have all distinct values in column_A in one worksheet.
In worksheet #2, I have column_B, which is also a multi-select picklist column and calculated fields are written similar to above formulas. And lastly, I have another worksheet #3 and I‘m working with column_C here, which is also a multi-select picklist column.
I have all these worksheets in dashboard A with filter actions. BUT I can only use worksheet #1 to filter worksheet #2 and #3. I can’t use worksheet #2 and #3 to filter each other and worksheet #1. Why is that? Is there another way to do what I want to do here? Thanks!

Honestly im kind of jealous that most people can pull up a picture/scenery when they close their eyes and thinking about it while all i see is pitch black. I mean i can think about what something looks like or is but i cant actually "see" it.
