 | Ok this might be a stupid question, especially for a guy who’s been gaining since the early 90s. To be fair tho, I’m a physical guy and don’t do roms and emulators. But can someone tell me what this thing actually is. Is it only for emulation? Is there a disk drive to insert my ps1 disks, to play my collection without having to worry about dragging out my ps1? Does it do both? In the pictures I see an eject button but I do I don’t see a crack on top where it would open. What is mister FPGA? What is a FPGA system? Hey everyone, I have ADHD and relationship OCD, and I’ve been casually dating a guy with autism that I really like. Lately, I’ve been feeling insecure because he’s a well-known influencer on Instagram and gets a lot of attention, particularly from women. I noticed that he follows mostly artists and famous people, but there’s one random girl at the top of his following list. Her account is private, so I can’t see if he’s interacting with her posts.
I had a conversation with him where I asked if he could be honest with me if he starts talking to someone else or finds someone he likes more, so I can move on and not feel led on. He reassured me that while girls do message him, he doesn't flirt or show any interest in them, and he’s definitely not meeting up with anyone, which put my mind at ease.
The part that’s really triggering my anxiety is that this girl is at the very top of his followers list, which makes me think he’s been engaging with her more—whether through DMs or liking her posts (based on what I’ve read online). I really hope I’m wrong and I want to trust him, but my brain is convincing me that I can’t. He’s been nothing but kind and honest with me, so I don’t think he’s lying, but my anxiety is making it hard to believe that. Right now, my mind is in overdrive, and I can’t get out of bed right now. 😭

2025.02.01 19:40 WhatsTheAnswerDude Is it bad to post on your LinkedIn (or online) about getting ghosted (despite TWO weeks/several hours on an assessment, AND the hiring manager saying your assessment was great AND move forward on other itnerviews), OR for a phone call with a recruiter that was very unprofessional and not prepared?
Howdy folks.
Looking for feedback and Ill try to make this short.
Is it bad to post on your personal LinkedIn if you're job searching, and just been treated atrociously during job interviews?
Two examples:
1: I applied to a role. Phone screen goes well and then I move forward. I then get asked to do an assessment. This was seven questions in Tableau. To say this thing was complex was an UNDERSTATEMENT. It took HOURS out of about two weeks during the holidays and MULTIPLE days to get through. Like this thing to me two weeks, several hours a day to go through and verify the answers on these questions. Now, I came close to telling the company to get lost due to how much time it was taking AND it took me away from applying to other jobs AND prepping for other interviews. In essence its cost me other opportunities.
Now, I got the assessment done, then the hiring manager wanted to talk to me and then let me know he really liked my assessment and that it was very good. Let me literally know there were more advanced people that just gave terrible answers. Let me know he wanted me to move forward and that there'd be two more interviews with teammatters. He said hed be out for the week after....so the week he was back (last week, last Tuesday)....I replied on an email that had the HM, my recruiter, and a people coordinatoperson on the email for when we were going to have the next interview. Im having to pick up other gigs/jobs to stay financially afloat and I need to know days ahead of time as I cant pick up a gig and cancel, and obviously a professonional job is a MUCH higher priority than any gig/temporary work.
I got a notification saying that my recruiter was out for this past week, but NEITHER of the other two responded back either saying anything. Now, I spent a LOT of time on this assessment and it required sacrificing other opportunities to get it done AND I was told it was great work AND that I would be moving forward.
Its possible I might hear back and move forward this week but at this point Im concerned Im getting ghosted. I get people get ghosted in this market BUT I feel like given the amount of work I did AND the lack of any possibly communication/follow up, I have a RIGHT to be absolutely livid for getting my time wasted AND treated like trash.
QUESTION-Is it bad a idea to discuss this experience or make a post highlighting their company and how atrociously I've been treated? To notify others but let others in my network know the hell I've been going through my companies? Or is that a HUGE red flag for anyone else. Im not doing it to complain and again, I GET people get ghosted....but usually thats maybe after an interview or two....NOT after the length of time I invested into this role and NO ONE could be bothered to at least give me an email.
2: I just had a call with a recruiter yesterday that was probably one of the most unprofessional Ive ever had. She was minutes late (which I understand) but then as soon she got on the call, its clear she DIDNT look at my resume NOR was prepared for the call at all.
She let me know she just got off of lunch (ummm, you KNEW this call was happening HOURS ahead of time)...and thats "just a recruiter"....but the preparation for the call was atrocious.
It was for a sales operations analytics role but she could HARDLY define things about what was needed for the role.
An example I'll try to clarify is, lets say you're applying for a mechanic role....shed ask me things like...
Her-"So do you know cars?" (in this case Sales)
Me-"Can you be a bit more specific?"
Shed literally repeat the SAME effing question.
Her-"But...do you know cars?"
Me-"Okay so that can entail a lot, can you be a bit more specific. Am I reporting total sales, amounts of units sold, crm/deals data like the current stages of things and where they are, deal speed....or it could mean marketing operations and outbound like still...connecting to CRMs and know what's happening with leads and how often we contact them or when or we're they're falling out....can you explain that a bit."
Her-"Im sorry Im just a recruiter...Im going off the list the sales manager gave me....I've been recruiting for 14 years with the company."
Doing data and analytics requires SPECIFICITY on whats needed, OTHERWISE I dont know what to pull or what data is required and CANT give you what you need if I DONT KNOW what you're NEEDING. Within about 10 or 15 minutes of this I almost was close to telling her that I wanted to end the call and we should discuss when shes knows better.
I still tried to give her answers that worked around what she DIDNT give me but....if I EVER was this vague and didnt know what I was talking about during an interview in this current market....Id get the call ended QUICK. This call also came close to jeopardizing gig work I had yesterday and missing that opportunity. I dont even know if I'll move forward (and yes I still tried to maintain professionalism despite the amount of friction)....but this was an interview with someone that was absolutely NOT prepared to interview me NOR could clarify barely what the role required.
QUESTION-If I dont move forward to the next stage, is it a bad idea to literally post about this experience online OR to let her manager or higher ups know that this was one of the most UNPROFESSIONAL interviews Ive EVER had?!? Im not looking to complain for the sake of complaining. Look I can handle rejection just fine. But if you're coming to an interview THAT unprepared, you're SERIOUSLY just wasting my time. Its also clear you DONT know what the hell you're recruiting for either OR have any idea. Does it literally take that long to look up a couple things on Chatgpt on what would likely be required from the role OR ask that manager to clarify what they're looking for?
